Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Leo looked at her, and nodded.

He then thought for a moment, and turned his head so she wouldn't be able to read his lips.

"This is a test." he responded.

"If you can hear me, then repeat this statement." he told her, clearing his throat.

"I understand that you do this out of the kindness of your heart, Leo, and that I do not need to pay you back in the slightest." he stated, before turning around and smirking slightly at her.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Leo looked over to the phone and grimaced.

"Eugh." he mumbled.

"Right, I'll look at that after." he told her.

And, after a little over a minute more of tinkering and such, he closed the headphones, secured where he'd been working, and handed them over towards her, a confident smile on his face.

"Try 'em on, give 'em a whirl." he said as she accepted them.

"Let me know if you hear static or things are more muted or whatever." he added, grabbing her phone and looking it over.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Very much so." Leo responded.

"It was a lot of small pieces of damage." he told her.

"Heck, I'm almost DONE." he then boasted.

"Should have these functional again in a minute or so." he declared confidently.

"What about your phone?" he asked.

"How's THAT faring?"

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Jaden nodded.

"Got it." he said.

"I'll be back soon." he told her, before leaving the room. About a minute after he did, Leo stepped into the room, still tinkering with the headphones.

"So." he said, looking at her.

"What's with him?" he asked.

"Friend of yours?"

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Jaden thought for a moment, before nodding.

"Yep." he said.

"I know JUST the place." he told her confidently.

"...you got a preference?" he asked. "Because the place I know of can do ANYTHING." he commented confidently.

Fave fruit or whatever? Or just a general guideline?"[/b] he asked further.

"Or are you good with anything?"

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"I know, right!?" Jaden responded.

They talked for about 20 minutes, before they got the notification that the food was ready for pickup, so Jaden got to his feet.

"I'll be back shortly." he told her.

"While I'm out, want a drink or something?" he asked.

"Name it and I'll bring it back alongside the food." he offered her.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Yeah, sure." Jaden said.

"You're welcome." he told her.

"The silly thing is... I'm can't even say I'm just using it as a storage space. Because I'm not. There's literally nothing in there." he said further, pausing a moment. "Ok, that's a lie. There's... a desk... and... a dresser." he then recalled. "Like, I got new ones, and put the older ones in that room, thinking that they were still good and I could still use them. But I never did." he admitted.

"Yet I don't want to toss them because they're still very good, and I feel like I'll use them, even though that probably won't happen." he laughed.

"I just have trouble getting rid of still-good furniture sometimes." he went on, stopping again.

"Not a hoarder, though." he insisted. "I know when things absolutely HAVE to go, despite being good, still, but haven't reached that point with those two yet." he chuckled.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Jaden paused again.

"Might?" he asked.

"Yeah, he lives... on a different continent." Desiree responded.

"Oh, I see." Jaden said.

"Uh... well... I mean... we don't even know each other well, but I figure I'll throw this out as an option. For any time." he then told her.

"Plenty of room at MY place." he said.

"Can easily dedicate a room for you. And you can secure it all you want or feel you need to."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Ah, all right then." Jaden replied.

"That's fair." he said.

'I mean, I was about to suggest you use the spare room in my own apartment, but... thinking about it now, that might be a bit much.' he then thought. 'We... barely know each other, she might be too uneasy about it...' he reasoned.

"As long as you'll be safe." he then said further.

"That's all that matters."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

my little jokes on thee...

"Fair." Jaden responded.

He then nodded and when the order was placed, he handed it back to her.

"Made it a pick-up order." he said.

"When it's done, it'll take merely a minute or two for me to get there and back." he chuckled.

"..." he was then silent, before sighing quietly.

"You gonna be okay?" he asked.

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Well, give me the details on where it is, the name, and what all he really likes from it." Jaden told her.

"As for paying ME back, don't worry about that. Not right NOW, anyway." he then said.

"Do it on your own time, and in ways you can manage. Like, a 10 here, a 20 there, whatever." he shrugged.

"Not really gonna be a stickler for that." he went on.

"But yeah, tell me what all to order, and where to order it from, and I'll make sure he thinks that this was all just a nice gesture by me, that will end up with him getting food to take back." he smirked.

great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"Well, if he has a food that he really REALLY likes, I can use my money and portals to get it here ASAP." Jaden responded.

"And then I can give it to him, saying it's my way of showing gratitude for helping you." he said. "...which... wouldn't be a lie, I admit..." he then mumbled, shaking his head some.

"Regardless, then you can pay ME back if you want." he finished.

"So you pay him back, in essence, and he's none the wiser." he smirked.

"That work, mayhaps?"

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

"...hm." Jaden mumbled.

"I can see the conundrum." he told her.

He then paused and started to think about it a little.

"...what kind of repayment?" he asked her.

"Straight money, or would getting him food or something suffice?" he asked further.

"If the latter works, I MAY have an idea."

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.

Forgive, O Lord,
my little jokes on thee...

Jaden was silent for a moment.

"Oh... oh!" he said.

"Really?" he asked.

She nodded in response.

"Wow, that's... that's pretty amazing, actually." he told her.

"Seriously, that is REALLY cool." he said further.

"Didn't think tech like that actually existed." he went on, pausing again. "Or are yours a one-of-a-kind deal?"

...and I'll forgive thy
great big one on me.
