The demon just laughed.

Aly, however, did not look impressed.

"You robbed Eke of his memories?" she asked angrily.

"That's not technically correct." the demon replied. "The little dragonling there willingly gave them up." he told her.

"....what?" Aly asked, looking at Eke now.

"Why...?"

Sharp nodded in response.

"That works." he said.

"..." he was silent for a moment, and then sighed.

"Things have started to fall apart here as of late, admittedly." he told her.

"I may have lost my head medic, AND my head lab tech." he continued.

"Though with Kiah, it may be more emotional recovery..." he then admitted, more talking to himself, than anything else at that point.

"Sorry for my babbling." he apologized with a sheepish laugh.

"That is a very good question." Sharp said. "One that I do not have the answers to." he admitted.

"However, if you DO have issues, come to me." he then told her.

"Or my receptionist, she's stronger than people think, or Jake." he continued.

"Any of us will do what we can." he assured her.

"...assuming it gets to that point, that is."

"That IS a fair point on her being a friend." Sharp admitted.

"But I need to put my personal feelings aside." he said.

"Also, very well." he then said. "If you need to get further information, then so be it." he told her further, as they continued along their way, stopping at a door to a dorm.

"Here." he said, handing her a key and ID lanyard.

"If you run into any problems with my staff-" he started to say, before pausing.

"...then I'm sure you're more than capable of handling yourself, actually." he finished.

Aly was silent as she looked at Eke, and then at Ryker.

Just as she did so, she saw half his face be covered in ominous inky shadows, and his eye turn red.

She audibly gasped when she saw this.

"Heya, toots." the demon said.

"Looks like we finally meet." he said further.

"Who... what... are you...?" Aly asked.

"Ry-guy's future!" the demon declared proudly.

Sharp was silent, and sighed heavily.

"It's not a matter of wishing to hear it, nor is it a matter of being ready to hear it." he told her.

"It is my responsibility and duty as head of this organization to know how my agents and employees are doing, health-wise." he said further.

"So I would very much be interested in hearing what you have to say about it." he told Syraene further as they made their way through the corridors.

"If nothing else, I need to make plans accordingly, for... well... many case scenarios." he then sighed.

"...they're destroyed?" Sharp asked.

"Well... that IS a relief." he said. "Those things were nothing but trouble since they were first conceived by the minds of the foolish power-hungry idiots that dared invent them." he growled.

"So at least there's THAT off my mind." he said.

"...but I doubt your information on Angela will be so pleasant..." he then added.

"He's certainly a rarity." Sharp agreed.

"And very well, I'll show you to where you can stay." he told her.

"Thank you again for this." he went on.

"Your help will surely be useful, and it is greatly appreciated." he assured her further.

"My team and I will need to analyse and decode samples and such, but maybe we'll be able to find a way to at least stop this." he went on.

"...and I also need to find that damn book and pen again." he then muttered.

"AND find out what's going to happen to my head medic." he added, shaking his head, and then pausing.

"...but I digress, let's get you to your quarters?" he suggested.

"......." Ryker was silent.

He then crossed his arms over his chest.

"Oh?" he asked.

"You think so?" he asked further.

"Aly, you REALLY gotta be ready for this." he then told Aly.

"....okay...?" Aly replied, confusedly.

"Eke, you REALLY gotta be prepared for any potential fallout." Ryker then said to Eke.

"........so you did." Sharp remembered.

"My apologies, my mind is rather elsewhere." he said.

"Regardless, if you have nowhere to stay, you can stay here." he offered.

"I'm not one to assume you don't." he continued.

"After all, the one that installed this buildings security system is an Order member." he added with a chuckle.

Aly was silent for a moment, and started to think.

"Ummmm..." she mumbled, counting on her hands.

"Maybe... 15 people at most?" she said.

"Really, that's all?" Ryker asked, poking his head in.

"My family's not TOO big."' Aly replied.

"But if I need to, I can pare it down to around 11 people or so." she then added.

"Well, I am not one to discriminate." Sharp replied.

"I know that dark elves are not all bad." he told her.

"Granted, the ones that ARE really stick out above the rest..." he admitted. "But I know the majority are... or... were... really nice." he continued.

"Perhaps a bit self-important, but nice." he added.

"Also... Encrae?" he asked.

"....related to Vanessa Encrae, I would assume?"

".....hm." Sharp muttered.

"That's true..." he said.

"You don't have a phone or anything, I'd wager." he continued.

"...not sure if you'd have a place to stay, either." he went on.

"You're free to stay here, if you like." he then offered her.

".......Oh my." Sharp muttered.

"Of course." he replied, taking the pouch.

"..." he was silent, before looking in the pouch, and finding the sand inside was, indeed, black.

"That's... ominous." he commented.

"I assure you we'll do all we can try and find a way to rectify this. Or at least stop it from continuing."
