Sharp was silent for a moment, and looked confused.

"Uh..." he stammered.

"Yes. Yes, there is a landline in the room." he told her.

"Though, admittedly, what you just said is extremely confusing to me." he then admittedly, before pausing and thinking about something else.

"Also... Kalin. THERE'S a name you don't hear often." he continued. "That's also the name of a lawyer that's helped us out before, coincidentally enough." he then added.

Sharp just smiled at her.

"Thank you so much, Miss Encrae." he thanked her.

"That did wonders." he told her.

"And yes, I DO know where you can be found." he said further.

"Also, feel free to wander about the Unit and explore." he then told her.

"Familiarize yourself with the surroundings, if you so desire."

Sharp wearily looked at the orb, and nodded.

"That... would be wonderful." he said.

"Thank you." he said further.

With that, he sighed in exhaustion, reached his hand out, and gently grabbed the red orb that was hovering before him.

When he did, he suddenly felt his mana levels rise drastically, and felt a lot more energetic.

"Woah!" he exclaimed, a smile on his face.

"That was... refreshing!"

Sharp just nodded, and closed his eyes.

Normally he would just snap his fingers, but this time was different.

He looked to be concentrating hard for about 10 seconds, before there was a pulse of mana that rippled outwards from him, stronger than anything he'd ever produced before.

It almost made the building shake with how potent it was... but it dissipated as quickly as it came.

But it had succeeded, and Sharp nearly collapsed.

"It is done." was all he said.

"I'm so sorry this had to happen to you." Aly said quietly.

"But you're so strong to be able to keep going after something like that." she then told him.

"Eke, thank you for confiding this in me." she went on.

Meanwhile, Ryker just crossed his arms over his chest.

"Heh." he chuckled, shaking his head slightly, and smiling.

"........I...." Sharp was silent for a moment, stammered for a second.

"Yes." he said.

"Yes. It is." he told her.

"With my current level of power, I can make it so that sleep will not be needed for... 4 days." he said.

"Maybe 5 at most." he continued.

"So if you wish it, I CAN do it."

"Thankfully, I know of a way to reach a sort of deep meditation for short periods." Sharp responded.

"It can replace sleep in dire situations." he told her. "And I dare say things don't get more dire than this." he then added.

"But it's never a long-term solution." he lamented.

"I can get away with it for... 2 weeks at most?" he guessed.

"Beyond that, I WILL start to suffer from lack of sleep."

Sharp just sighed heavily.

"These things happen." he lamented.

"Anything you try to do to help is greatly appreciated." he went on.

"I guess... all there is to do is wait and see what happens." he continued, shaking his head.

"Even MY mana won't be able to fix this... the book and pen are THAT strong." he mumbled.

"Damn it all." he cursed quietly.

"But... I cannot let this distract me. I need to focus on the Order." he then finished.

"......................" Sharp was stunned to hear that, for lack of a better word.

"A... Amnesia?" he asked.

"Oh good lord..." he said quietly.

"That... that is going to wreak havoc on her life." he commented.

"...especially Olivia. She'll have essentially lost her mother."

"........" Sharp was silent as he heard that.

"...right." he said.

"I'm happy she's alive." he told her. "And the fact that she seems to mostly be all right, I will consider being lucky for her." he went on.

"But... mostly, you said." he then said.

"Tell me... what does 'mostly' exclude?" he asked her.

"And how are her dreams different?"

Sharp nodded in response.

"Indeed." he said.

"Now, please excuse me." he told her, standing up and giving her a small but polite bow.

"I must get to work." he finished.

With that, he left the dorm, and sighed as he walked down the corridor.

"Just when you think things can't get weirder." he mumbled with a smirk and a chuckle.

"I certainly hope so." Sharp responded.

"Because she's been through a lot." he mumbled. "I also hope she doesn't feel guilty for very long, as it really wasn't her fault." he then said further.

"But from what I know, she's a strong-willed young lady, so she should bounce back from this." he then added.

"Any other questions?" he asked her.

"If not, I should get to the matter at hand." he finished.

Aly was silent as she heard all this, before looking at Eke.

"So you exchanged precious memories for your sanity?" she asked.

"Precious. Hah!" the demon laughed.

"Girly, the memories I took were FAR from precious." he laughed.

"Just know that if Eke hadn't made that deal, he'd have been nothing more than a mindless feral murderer, and he would have been destroyed a while ago." he told her.

"......" Aly was silent once more, before she turned to Eke and hugged him, holding him close to her.

"...ah, yes, I am." Sharp replied.

He then looked around, and sighed.

"Let us speak in private." he told her as they entered her dorm.

Once the door was shut, they were seated, and he proceeded to tell her a truncated, but complete, explanation as to what had happened recently. Everything he knew, anyway.

"So that's the situation." he said.

"It seems that she's been wracked with guilt, and there's the issue of what happened with her mana." he continued.

"So she's not been having a good time of it." he finished.
