Hal raised an eyebrow as she left.

"...that seemed to have raised her spirits." he mumbled.

Meanwhile, Ty was just slugging through the paperwork, and sighed when he heard the knock. He looked at the clock in the room, and shook his head.

"I still have another hour!" he called back, looking to see who was bothering him, and pausing when he saw them.

He then put the papers down and buried his hands in his face, fearing he was seeing things.

"..." Hal was silent for a moment, before bringing his hands together, then bringing his fingers to his lips.

"I would grant that wish, if I didn't trust you." he said.

"But I do." he told her.

"So it won't be necessary." he reasoned.

"Now go and do what you need to."

Hal thought for a moment.

"Well, he IS working today... mostly cataloguing old cases of his." he said.

"Chances are he's in the records department." he told her.

He then paused for a moment, and sighed.

"Don't take after your new boss." he told her. "Being cryptic is not your style."

Hal was certainly surprised by this sudden insistence, to say the least.

"...I... see?" he muttered.

"Very well, then... if you insist..." he told her.

He was still a little baffled by this, and she knew he'd have questions later... especially considering the news she was sure he was going to receive.

Hal shook his head.

"Right then." he said.

"I... really have no idea what to make of all that." he admitted to her.

"And a dinner date. Well, I did." he then said further.

"I was seriously considering calling Hollie and rescheduling." he revealed.

"I'm sure she won't mind. We have your death paperwork to halt and such."

Hal raised an eyebrow at that.

"...ah. Don't worry, she can't hear us." he told her.

"But that explains a lot." he then said. "Need to die to join them." he reasoned.

"There a particular reason for not telling me until NOW?" he asked her.

"Ah, so that was you." Hal responded.

"Someone is on their way to check up on Ilias." he told her.

"...and you got better." he then commented.

"I expect a better explanation than THAT." he said.

"So? Let's have it."

After a few more seconds, of continuous knocking, the door was violently swung open.

"WHAT!?" Hal growled loudly, before seeing her.

"...." he was silent, before turning and walking inside.

"Come in." he told her.

"You have explaining to do."

"Yep." Jake replied.

"He should be. Hasn't left yet." he told her.

"Go on." he said, pressing the button to let her in.

"Should make it quick." he went on.

"Place is pretty sad."

Jake looked over towards her, and his tongue darted out slightly.

"Oh." he said.

"Hi, Hazel." he greeted her.

"Rough landing?" he asked, going back to his reading his paper again.

"Might want to clear up some info." he suggested.

"People think you're dead and gone."

When she got upstairs, he was still unconscious.

He didn't seem to be bleeding, though.

His snakes were still aware and awake, and seemed worried about him.

They looked at her and hissed, but didn't snap.

She was familiar, but different, so they were wary.

When she tried to create the glass wall, she found it worked.

The entire room was encased in glass.

And Ilias was still out cold upstairs.

She had everything set, and she saw there were alchemy sets in there, too.

Everything was perfectly set for her to do this.

Ilias seemed to be very confused now. His snakes snapped at her warningly, but didn't harm her.

His confusion seemed to get the best of him, as he took a step back.

"...I..." he stammered.

"No... no, you're... you can't be..." he said further.

He was so distracted by his confusion, and was certain she was trying to (successfully) managing to manipulate him, that he tripped over a bunched-up rug and fell backwards, hitting his head on the floor and knocking him unconscious.

Ilias narrowed his eyes.

"I don't take kindly to threats." he told her, as his snakes emerged from his hair. Even though they could tell it was her, they also smelled mana on her that they didn't associate with her.

That, combined with Ilias's defensive attitude, caused them to bare their fangs and hiss at her.

"I'll ask again, WHO ARE YOU?" he demanded.

"You take Hazel's shape, but Hazel died after being in a coma." he told her further.

"So reveal yourself and your intentions, before I see to it that we have a permanent new lawn ornament." he threatened.
