Hal sighed quietly.

"She's recovering." he said.

"Still needs her staff for balance, but she can move on her own without needing me for additional support." he said further.

"So that's good." he reasoned.

"Odds are she'll be 100% in a bit. Thank you." he then told her.

"Now... do what you need to for Liv."

Hal was silent once more for another moment, and then sighed.

'JUST a blossoming headache?' he thought. 'My dear, you're headed for a crash, and from the looks of it, it's not too far off.' he mentally said further, before shaking his head.

He had a feeling she wasn't going to be hearing any of that, as she was too focused on Liv. And he couldn't blame her. It distressed HIM to hear that the girl was in such bad condition right now.

"She can stay as long as she needs." he told her.

"Whatever you think will help her, let me know. I will do all I can to try and get it here." he said further.

"We'll do all we can to make sure she survives this, Angela." he then assured the woman.

'And yourself as well.' he added silently.

"I see." Hal responded.

"I can't tell you what's going on, Angela." he told her. "Because I don't know." he said. "I'm trying to figure it out as we speak." he continued.

"However, Hollie was told by one of her draydin friends that something is happening to the planet itself." he went on.

"Also... she's nearly dead, and it looks like YOU may be heading down that road as well." he then commented.

"Because... quite frankly... you look sick as well."

Despite the receptionist's protests, Angela kept knocking, until they heard her comm go off.

"It's all right. I can hear it's Dr. Edwards, and remember, she has the authority to see me without appointment, as long as I'm not already in an appointment." Hal's voice reminded her.

"Send her in." he said.

Angela didn't delay, and opened the door, stepping inside.

"...what is it?" Hal asked her, concern in his tone.

No sooner had she shoved the phone back in her pocket, did Zeke rush into the room, with Liv in his arms.

And already, Angela could see that the call from earlier was no cruel prank. It was not over-concern, it was valid. She looked sick. And a lot sicker than she had looked, even before Angela left to tend to Hollie.

Whatever was happening to her, was ramping up alarmingly quickly.

Zeke then laid her down on the bed, and stepped back, allowing Angela to work.

And she could see he was feeling helpless and angry about it. He didn't know how to help Liv. And he hated it.

"..." Nate was silent as he heard that.

"Right." he then said, stepping out of her way.

"Don't let me hold you up any longer." he said further.

"I'll put the bottle of ibuprofen on your desk." he finished.

"Yes." Zeke replied.

"Let me know where and when. I will bring Liv there directly." he told her.

With that, the call was ended, and she exited her office, a look of determination in her eyes.

A few seconds after she left, she saw Nate heading towards her, a small bottle in his hands.

"Oh, Dr. Edwards." he said when he noticed her.

"I found the ib-" he started to say further, before he noticed her expression.

"...is something wrong?" he asked.

After a moment or so, her desk phone rang. It was loud, it was sharp, it caused her to jump a little, and it caused her to curse the device out. Until she saw the call was coming from her own home. That sparked confusion, and a little concern.

"...hello?" she answered it hesitantly.

"Angela, I'm bringing Liv there." Zeke told her.

"She was puking in the toilet earlier, there was red in it, and her fever is spiking to alarming levels." he reported.

"She needs a medic. She needs her mother. You're both."

Zeke pressed his wrist against her forehead, and whipped it away almost instantly.

"Oh!" he exclaimed.

"Oh, shit!" he cursed.

"...yeah, you really DO need to see a medic. Probably your mother." he said further, grabbing his cell phone and checking it... only to find that he wasn't getting any service. Still.

"Damn it." he growled lightly.

"Liv, sweetie..." he said to her, gently picking her up in his arms.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure you're okay."

Zeke knocked once more, before taking the initiative, and opening the door.

"Liv?" he asked as he did so... only to stop dead in his tracks when he saw what he did.

"Liv!" he exclaimed, making his way towards her.

"Oh, good heavens." he muttered, kneeling down beside her.

He looked at what she had heaved up... before looking back at the girl.

"...you might need to see your mother..."

Hal was shocked to hear that, and was silent for a moment.

"Out of sync?" he asked.

"Oh dear..." he muttered. "That... that might very well be something that needs investigating. Post-haste." he told her.

Zeke, who had been downstairs, heard the hurried footsteps, and when he started to make his way to where he'd heard them, he heard Liv retching and vomiting. And it sounded bad.

Very bad.

"...Liv!?" he called up as he ascended the stairs.

"Are you okay!?"

"Okay then." Hal responded.

"I know that Lunet is with Cain, so... hmmm." he mumbled.

"I'll go and tell her everything, and be back in a few minutes." he continued.

"...or I can use the line in my office. Cell communications seem to be unstable, but landlines appear to be stable for now." he then said further. "So I'll call Reveka's home phone and inform them of this." he finished.

"For now, we need to make sure you have a comfortable place to rest and recuperate."

Again, Hal sighed.

"Well... hm." he said, crossing his arms over his chest.

"I want to check on Lunet, make sure she's okay..." he went on. "Let her know YOU'RE recovering..." he said further.

"Actually, here may be the best and safest place for us." he reasoned.

"I'll have a dorm reserved for us." he said.

"Unless you feel you need to be home for any Council-related duties. Then I'll stay with you at your manor."

"...." Hal was silent for a moment, thinking about it, before sighing.

"That... is a very good question." he said.

"It depends on how stable your home is for this sort of thing." he told her.

"This building IS reinforced to stand against such things, and my office DOES double as a place to sleep and such." he reasoned further.

"But it's all up to you, really." he went on.

"How safe would you feel at your home, my home, or... well, how is your health doing, in relation to dealing with the outside weather?"
