Vincent shook his head.

"They are fascinating at times, though." he told her.

"Come on, then." he said, as they made their way to his study, and she sat down in one of the couches.

"I'll get the books." he said.

"Would you care for some tea?" he asked.

Vincent thought for a moment.

"...valid..."{/b] he said.

[b]"Well, I have a book on various religions and mythologies and their doomsday beliefs." he told her.

"I also have a book of recorded prophecies." he continued.

"Maybe you can find an answer in one of those?" he suggested.

"I intend to." Rene said.

"And the draydins are doing fine. Andrew is stable, and they're both resting comfortably." he told her.

With that, they said goodbye, and he was gone, disappearing in a bubble of water.

"Well, then." Vincent muttered.

"Ah. Yes. I believe I DO have some books and tomes on various cataclysmic events." he told Hollie.

"I don't know." Rene said.

"I just feel weird now. But not as bad as before." he said further.

"It's improvement." Vincent said.

"Yeah." Rene agreed.

"Sorry to bother you like this." he apologised.

Vincent was about to answer, when Rene started to convulse. And it seemed like they were the type that were almost death throes. However, just as the two elder mages were about to start to panic, Rene flopped to the floor, and his eyes popped open.

"GAH!" he screamed, sitting up sharply.

"Rene!?" Vincent exclaimed.

"What happened?" he asked the lantha.

"I... I... I don't know." Rene admitted. "And I don't know how to explain it." he sighed.

"But... right now, all I'm feeling is a sense of queasiness." he then said further. "It's... well, it's there, but I can sort of ignore it now."

"...I have NO idea how this will manifest." Hal warned. "Are you sure?" he asked.

"I am." Hollie replied.

"Granted." Hal then said, as she heard a snap.

"...Rene!?" she then heard Vincent call out.

"Hollie, he just passed out!" he informed his sister.

Vincent nodded in response.

"I do." he said.

"In the den." he told her.

Hollie nodded, and before he could say anything more, she was making her way to said phone.

Vincent, meanwhile, just kneeled down close to Rene.

"Try and keep it calm, Rene." he told him.

"...easy... for you to..." Rene started to respond, before retching again, unable to finish the sentence.

"...." Rene was silent for a moment.

"...explains... a lot..." he said.

"Wait, what?" Vincent asked. "It IS?" he asked further.

However, before Hollie could answer, Rene collapsed to his hands and knees, and started to retch. In a way that sounds extremely painful.

"Oh geez." Vincent muttered.

"Hollie, any ideas for immediate care?" he asked his sister.

"....they're fine." Rene managed to get out.

"Got them at... OLA..." he went on, suppressing a violent gag reflex.

"Do either of you have anything to calm a roiling storm inside me?" he then asked them.

"...that bad, is it." Vincent commented.

Rene just nodded.

"Been feeling like I constantly have to throw up for a while." he replied. "...don't know why." he continued.

"Just... feels so... volatile... inside."

Vincent paused for a moment, and opened his mouth to say something, before they heard a weak knock in his door.

"...oh, right. Rene." Vincent said.

"Come on in!" he called to him.

Rene stepped through the door, and slowly made his way to where the Remmington siblings were... and Hollie could immediately see that Rene looked ready to throw up. Or dry heave. Or whatever.

"H-hi, Hollie." the lantha greeted her weakly.

It seemed that Vincent didn't need to ask his questions. They'd already been answered. For the most part. He was satisfied with the info he currently had, anyway. He then sighed, and shook his head.

"I... I'm okay." he said.

"I feel like my mana's going to go out of control haywire soon, but I'm suppressing it adequately." he told her further.

"Now, a question about that 'long story short'." he then said. "Are YOU okay? Or are you GOING to be okay?" he asked her.

"Who did it, and have you sought proper treatment for it already?" he then asked, before pausing and shaking his head. "What am I saying, of course you probably have." he muttered.

"But are you going to be all right?"

"Well, I'm doing all right." Vincent said. "For the most part." he went on, before noticing that she was putting a lot of weight on her staff. More than usual, anyway. It caused him to wonder.

"Anyway." he then mumbled.

"Let me take your staff for you." he offered. "I'll put it where I usually do." he added with a small smile.

This was, of course, to see if she needed the staff right now.

And if she did, he would have questions.

Her wince as she left did not go unnoticed by Hal, and he sighed again when he saw it, but said nothing until she leaves.

"...this is going to get way worse before it gets better." he muttered.

"And this entire place is going to be under SO much stress..." he growled, not looking forward to the immediate future.

She was waiting for about 15 seconds, in the massive winds, before the door was answered, and Vincent looked more than a little surprised.

"Hollie?" he said, before stepping out of the way.

"Please. Come in, come in!" he insisted.

"The weather is FAR too frightful to linger outside."

"And I'll be in one of two places." Hal told her.

"Either here, or the dorm Hollie and I reserved." he said.

"If I'm not answering my phone in the office, try the dorm." he reasoned.

"Otherwise... probably the cafeteria." he shrugged.

"Because mobile communications seem to just not be working." he grumbled.

"Making this FAR more complicated than it already IS."
