@star2000shadow: If I hadn't of gone to community college, I'd of never of met my best friend Jamie. The first semester I did, I actually met her on the last day of an art class, because I changed seats on the last day, because we could sit anywhere that day. I had met another girl earlier in a creative writing class, but we didn't keep in touch nearly as long as me and Jamie have. We met in 2003 and we're still friends. Before the covid crap, we used to go out at least once a month and get lunch and hang out. We still chat via text though, so we keep in touch. But I'd of never met her had I never did college.

@star2000shadow: I went to the local community college here. I was originally doing a program for an illustration certificate but then my grandfather said I should get an AA degree, so I started doing other General Education stuff. Back when I started, an AA was all you would need to possibly be interned somewhere (or so I was told) and then when I was like two classes away from getting my AA, a teacher was like "Oh well you'll need a Bachelors in Art in order to even be considered for an intern position" and my community college didn't have a Bachelor's program, meaning once I finished the AA there, I'd have to do another 4 years at a state college. Which we couldn't afford, which is why I was in a Community College instead....so I just gave up and worked menial jobs for a while until I just stayed home and took care of my grandparents.

@Tsundererra:

Yeah, he was up there and I know he liked playing with it, so when I looked up at him, I thought he was just playing, but then I noticed he was trying to pull off. He had been hanging there a while because the blood that was on him was brown and caked on his chest.(Mind that I had just gotten into the room for the night, since I usually spend the day in the living room) I got him down, washed what blood off I could, and put him in this tiny cage I had when I bought my original first two back in 2009 from a farmers market. It's like a little transport cage that's good for separating someone for recovery. He was there for two days, started eating again and so I put him back. He's his same fiesty self now, but I try not to get any toys with those hooks anymore. It's those kind they usually use for keychains. The ones you have to press in the long part to open, and it's usually hard to do. So he was both dumb and smart enough to get it open to get his beak stuck in it.

@Tsundererra: a lot of toys that they make for parakeets use twine, because it's fiberous and thick. So they have a harder time getting stuck on it. Though don't ever leave any metal clips from a toy in the cage, because one of my boys, managed to lodge it through the underside of his beak, cracking it. Luckily he lived but his beak on the bottom is cracked. He had dried blood on his chest when I finally found him hanging there. I had to feed the metal part through the soft part under his chin because he did a great job getting himself hooked. He was shaken up for a couple days but he's completely fine now.

@star2000shadow: Yeah same. The last year I was in college was 2010 so over a decade of no school.

Yeah this tub is like a bath fitter tub. It's older now, but it's still in good condition.

My mom is super picky about her bathroom. I have to lay down a lot of towels over the floor and sink to make sure any drops don't stain her floor or sink. If I rinsed it out in the tub, it'd stain the pure white tub and she'd get piiiised lol. At least the kitchen sink is like stainless steel and old so no problem rinsing there.

I would like a better bleach that didn't ruin my hair and that it didn't have a yellow tint. Would make the dye jobs I do, come out a lot better. I also have an issue with darker colors. Since I do it myself in the bathroom, I end up having a bit of a time doing it. Especially the time I went half green half purple. I had to split my hair and do both sides with different colors and try not to get them mixed up while they were dying. Also rinsing out is a hassle too, since I usually do it in the kitchen sink, since I don't want to ruin the shower or tub in the bathroom with the dye.
