@TheGreatPretender: There's another farming one out there called Staxel. I had a friend buy it for me, because she wanted me to play it with her. I didn't play much of it, but it's voxel looking with farming elements. Out of all the ones I had, I liked Stardew better because not only can you do the farming and leveling up your house, there's also the Legend of Zelda type monster fighting and ya can get married. And with the addition to multiplayer, you can play with friends. I don't think you can do that on My Time in Portia....and def not in Slime Rancher.

@TheGreatPretender: I got My Time at Portia when I was doing videos for Youtube. I thought it was pretty neat, but it was still in beginning stages when I got it, and I've not really played it much. Though it really concentrates more on building things for customers than farming, but what I played of it, it was pretty neat. I might play it again someday. Another good one is Slime Rancher, if you like farming type games.

One Youtuber (and I'm sure more) didn't post videos today because of this. I know Markiplier has done a video based on this, and gave links to places to donate for charity. Jacksepticeye is taking a break from his content because of all this. I don't know who all else is hopping on this blackout tuesday but I'm sure there's many other Youtubers that are doing similar things.

She approached the shimmering object, keeping an eye behind her to the road to be able to return to it after she obtained the object. She knelt down and used her fingers to pry it loose from the dirt. It turned out to be a silver coin. Robbers that had passed through here a while ago must have dropped it. It had been half covered with dirt and it looked worn. She brushed the remaining dirt from the surface and she turned to head back to the road. The coin could come in handy if she passed another town. She would be able to stay a night at an in with a silver coin.

For the time being she pocketed the coin and made it back to the road. She walked a little farther, her stomach still grumbling with hunger. Luckily she came across some wild strawberries that were growing in a large bush next to the road. She picked a large handful and ate her fill. That really hit the spot. That would keep her going for a while longer. She didn't know if there were any close by towns or not, but only one way to find out. She'd keep traveling and hopefully she'd find someplace to stay before the day ended.

@ChiffonOrange: Well you're welcome to jump in any time if you decide to. One replied already, I hope more participate.

Zane sent a bone strike to the hand the boss was using to hold the axe. It sent splinters of bone like darts in the aimed direction. It was an attack that had a long cooldown so it wasn't something he could use a lot. He raised up some undead in the meantime to be mindless attacking meat shields while his other powers recovered. "I might get back on the Mage then, if it gets balanced better. I can't wait to see what the new class will be. I keep seeing teasers about it. I hope it's something with a good beast taming ability. I thought the Moonlight Hunter would have that ability since a lot of hunters classes on other MMO games I've played allows you to have a mount and be able to tame wild beasts depending on your level. Maybe like a Beast Master or something that allows you to tame and utilize some of the beasts around the game. I don't really like cosmetic pets some MMOs provide with cash purchase. If I'm going to have something follow me around it better help me in battle, than sit there and look cute." he said.

As the meat shields ate away at the Boss, Zane's poison AOE was refreshed so he warned the Paladin and set it off again. The last few ticks of the boss went to 0 and he was down. His body dissolved and they went up and gathered up the loot. "Lets leave the dungeon and then add up the spoils. We can trade back and forth the stuff either of us want." he said clicking he was ready to leave the dungeon.

@ChiffonOrange: Don't be afraid to add to it. I opened it for anyone who wanted to post something. I thought it'd be a nice group activity.

@ChiffonOrange: I've roleplayed a lot in my day. I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to partners though. I try to find people around my age since they tend to be good with spelling and grammar. On a related note I actually started a group story prompt in the RP section if you want to add to it :)

@ChiffonOrange: The only real downside to home school, is socialization. During K-8 we did get parties and stuff where parents and kids would attend, but the independent learning didn't do anything like that. So being cooped up at home most of my life, I don't do social stuff to terribly well. I got better when I went to college but I was super shy as well. I'd usually sit in the back of the room during class, and just listened to lectures and what not. I met another girl that was into anime and got me into some new ones like Inuyasha, and she and I were friends for a bit, but we drifted apart. The other girl, we had Harry Potter in common and we continued to be friends. It's funny, the girl I had least in common with I've been friends with for over ten years, but the one I had more in common with, I lost contact with after 2005. I do know she went into the military because she wrote stuff in her LiveJournal. But when I tried contacting her through that, she never responded so guess she didn't want to get back in touch.

Deep in the center of the forest, was a massive clearing. The clearing consisted of a small village of people that kept mostly to themselves. Since they were in the middle of the forest, the only way in and out was a dirt road that lead to the village on either side. They didn't get a lot of travelers since they were so out of the way of everything else.

There is a girl who lives in this village with her mother. Her name is Lila. She was born and raised in the small village but had heard stories of bigger places. She was always warned against leaving the village. Scary stories of monsters and bad people that would kidnap her and take her away. She listened to the stories of the dangers as did all the other children in the village. Now that she was older she wanted to see the world beyond the forest. Her mother wasn't mean or cruel, she just wanted to see what else was out there.

One night she gathered all of her belongings into a traveling pack. She would leave as soon as it was dawn, for traveling in the forest at night was dangerous. As soon as the sun rose, she slipped from the house before her mother and the other villagers woke, and took the path East, and walked with determination.

Hello!

I thought of an interesting idea for all inhabitants of Voltra that can participate in. Some of you may not have ever heard of a Round Robin as it has been referred to in later years, but the rules are simple.

I will start a couple paragraphs of a story and then someone else will pick up from where I left off and write another paragraph. It's much like the forum games, but I put this in the RP area because it's literally everyone writing a story. The only difference between this and regular RP, is that we're just telling an extended story between multiple people and not going back and forth like a 1x1 or a group RP. You can create other characters, and have them interact within the story, but the next person will have to include them in their post as well so be mindful of that. How the story goes, depends on you guys after I post the first paragraph. Just a few rules to follow

- If someone posts a reply while you are posting yours, don't get mad. Just redo your paragraph to make sense to the story. It's bound to happen so just read what they wrote and edit your post so it makes sense.

- You can add NPC characters in order to further the story along if needed. Just one time people that will help your character, but if you keep another character in the story that is going to remain through out, the next person will need to include them as well.

- Try and be mindful of spelling and grammar. You don't need to post a novel but no chat speak or anything like that. I'd like the style to be consistent in terms of writing.

- This is good way to have fun with your fellow Voltra-ians. Be polite, try to avoid (( OOC)) brackets to speak to other people. It should just be a simple story written by all.

- Lets be as realistic as possible. Meaning, lets not have OP magic, incredible creatures, things that defy laws of physics, etc. You know nothing crazy.

- Last, have fun! Be as creative as possible. This can be a really great way to earn volts while creating a story. You can post more than once if you want, but let a few more people post before you post again.

Next post will be the first prompt, so after I post that, you're welcome to continue after me.

@ChiffonOrange: I didn't get friends until I went to college. I went to a private school until the fourth grade then from fifth grade up through high school I was home schooled. We couldn't afford the private school anymore and they didn't like the public school horror stories, so right when they were about to go to public school, a branch of K-8 home school opened up in town. Basically all my school work was home work. I'd read the books, and my mom would give me tests and then we turned in all the work to the teacher in the K-8 building once a week. Then I'd get the next weeks' assignments. I did that through high school as well but 9-12 grade was considered "Independant Learning" so you were your own teacher.

By then they figured you were old enough to get your stuff done. When I was doing the independent learning in the one town we lived in, I kept getting Cs, because I would have to take written tests once a week and I don't do well with written tests. When we moved to a new town and I transferred to the center there, they'd give me oral tests and I'd pass like 100% most of the time. So I basically went from a C student to an A student all with the change of written tests to oral. When I went to college, that was like my high school experience. I met a girl in 2003 in an art class and we're still friends today.

Up until this Covid stuff happened, we'd hang out a couple times a month, and text each other to keep in touch etc. So if it wasn't for me going to college I wouldn't have a Real life friend, only online ones.

@ChiffonOrange: Back in the early days I also had Yahoo Instant Messanger. That was like the first one that I was on. Then MSN. AIM didn't come in, until later for me. I remember back when YIM had chatrooms, but it was so dangerous for people since there was a lot of catfishing, and people pretending to be kids and really adults. It didn't last too terribly long. Fast chatrooms like that tend to disappear when there were a lot of bad things that came out of them. All the people I talked to in the early years, were people from College I met. Just to keep in touch after semesters ended.

@ChiffonOrange: I actually had Skype and MSN for the longest time, until MSN merged with Skype and then when my laptops went from Windows 8 to 10, Skype refused to work on either of my laptops. It'd work on my tablet but I hardly used that for communication. One friend I met on Second Life, told me about Discord. He said he got on Discord more than on Second Life, so I literally got the platform just for him, and then he went MIA for a long time. Luckily Discord became such a big thing, that everyone/everything seems to have a Discord channel so, it worked out in the end anyway lol.
