@Q t e a p o n: Well I can say so far so good! It is nice use of colors. I like the softness of it though, so I'd suggest keeping that aesthetic.

And that's at about 3 weeks too. When they hatch, they're pretty much the size of salad shrimp. And that pink too lol.

One of the old pictures of a baby parakeet, while their pin feathers are coming in.

@Q t e a p o n:
I love that print! The only tiny change I'd make, is the food in the basket seems out of place in the image. Either because it's too sharp while everything is muted and soft, or because the colors seem out of place. Other than that, the rest is great!

@xvz: I've never sold my parakeets, I get too attached to them. For breeding, you put a male and female together that seems interested in one another, and then the male will do his business a couple times and then the female will go into a small wooden box you attach to the side of the cage.
After a while she'll lay a clutch of eggs. Pretty much one every other day until there is 5-6 and then she'll incubate them. The male will feed her since she doesn't usually leave the eggs for too long. Then in a couple weeks the the eggs will start to hatch. If they're viable they'll hatch every other day. The first one to come out, will be twice the size of the last one that comes out because they grow SUPER fast.
After they hatch at about the third week their eyes will open and will slowly start growing pin feathers. At that point they're pretty bottom heavy and pin feathery they look like little hedgehogs. Then after about two months they are pretty much fully grown and feathered and usually weaned or in the process of weaning. Meaning mom and dad don't feed them anymore, they feed themselves and can sit on a perch on their own.

oh Heck no. If I let them fly around the room, I'd go crazy. Plus they like to play "keep away" any time I try to get them back into the cage when they DO get out. They'll fly across the room from cage to cage to avoid me. Most of them are ones I bred, so they're all tame as far as getting on fingers and not biting but I quit working with most of them, so they like to avoid me like the plague. Only a few will actually not play the silly game. Plus my room is messy as hell and I wouldn't want them getting stuck behind something I can't move.

Yes the parakeets are noisy. Especially the boys. I have a big cage with all the males and the females are in various other cages since a lot of time females can get territorial and will fight with other females. I even have one parakeet named Cuddles who can talk.

My cat is gone now, but her name was Luna. She was part brown tabby and part marmalade tabby, with white feets. I never got another cat after she was put down, because I had parakeets. Now I own 15 parakeets.

Then....I should probably just not participate because I've thought they unlocked as you did a thing. I don't even know if I did any of the things, I was just basing it on when they showed up. Go ahead and remove me from the raffle.
