@GodsandPunks: welcome welcome welcome. So happy to have new people joining us. Glad you like things so far. I think it is awesome you are a Ph.D. student. I was working on my counseling degree, but have considered switching to a Ph.D in human and social services. I want to make a change in the world, and I want to help others to create the change they want to see in the world. I think there is so much we can all do to increase the positive vibrations and social standing within this chaotic world of ours.

I was looking over your art and I am amazed. You are quite talented in the visual arts. I especially loved your moon princess. There was something raw and haunting about it that I could relate to. @0v7: see what happens when you get excited over the sush? When you go to sleep are you having racing thoughts which keep you awake and from sleeping, or do you really think it could be your birthday bash beating your sleep habit all to hell? LOL also, great advice for the water. it helps jump start your whole body for the day.

@xvz: exactly! I know if I give myself an inch.....I will take the whole damn ruler. I have to maintain some semblance of routine or normalcy otherwise my mental health will deteriorate along with my physical. Good job on recognizing something similar in yourself and implementing it. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Or something old and wise like that lol

@vitreus: welcome welcome welcome! So sorry i didn't notice this post until now. So glad to have you here with us. It is wonderful to see such diversity here. I am very thankful you have come and added your unique flavor to our melting pot of avatars. I have a special friend, partner, who is nonbinary.

It is also quite nice of you to present and explain DID with such confidence and poise. It helps to educate people. Sadly, DID is misrepresented so very much in the media and it is quite frustrating. I was able to be part of some research which looked at DID compared with DDNOS which is now OSDID I believe.

Anyways, it is so nice to meet you and if you need anything at all you can just message and I'll do my best to help.

@vitreus: I have had a wonky sleep schedule lately. A lot of changes have happened in my life and all at once. However, I have been working on getting back to a schedule and better pattern.

I haven't had dreams. But with the help I have received from my son and my special friend I have had a lot of weight lifted off my shoulders. I've also been painting my living room....then hallway....then dining room....about to transition to my kitchen and maybe bathroom lol. Lots of sunshine yellow and idk like royal purple I guess. I'm not an artist and so colors are hard to describe. But my living room is essentially being turned into a Disney shrine lol

I also make sure to eat at appropriate times and shower daily. I know that sounds silly but with so many people staying home it has become more common place to skip showers and stay up later and snack etc I also make time to get out daily at least 10 min. Nothing lofty or exuberant. Just 10 min of fresh air.

@Jolly: Something bright or happy. Spread light into the world. Keep it clean and simple. Maybe purples or yellows. My son and I painted recently and our living room is now yellow and purple and it is so beautiful and bright and cheery. Help to fight all the negativity currently out there.

@LilMissKushy: that sounds like a helluva good time to me. I'm so glad you got to celebrate in one form or fashion. You're so blessed to have family around. Nearly all of my family has passed and then well I don't have the greatest record with guys so....eh it is just me and my son.

Today has been good but trying. My ac is messing up. I fixed it a little to get by until maintenance shows. My son and I have been painting our apartment. No more paneling and bring on the yellow and purple. Lol we did some shopping off the fb marketplace for new decor. And I finally got around to buying what I needed to fix the marks, the broken, and the demolished items from when my ex would get angry. It helps just seeing a light switch cover where once there was none because he threw things and smashed it.

On a different note, I have someone special who is having a birthday soon and Idk what to do for them. It is someone I'm close to and I mean we probably should socially distance more than we do but again Idk I need to think of something.

@LilMissKushy: the heat and I have never seen eye to eye. It is miserable. Happy Birthday though :) a quarantine bday is a safe bday but probably not what you ever had in mind. Maybe you can face time friends or family to stay connected and celebrate? Garden games sound like a lot of fun. I am painting my walls lol
