Hayden hesitantly nodded to her words and smiled a little. "Let's look for the puppies." He said, taking her hand and leading her through the shelter until they found where they kept the puppies, they were in an big open area behind some glass and playing together. They were all so cute, and so small!

But, he spotted one that even tinier than the others and slowly approached the glass. It was all by itself and he waved over a tenant. "I'll take that one." He said, earning a concerned look from the guy. "She's a runt, and she's sick, that's why she's separated from the others. Are you sure?" Hayden nodded. The small white puppy was kind of like him, and needed someone to care for it.

Kaito slipped out out of the bed and followed Fijore to the kitchen. He made a point not to watch him as he prepared the meal and instead glanced around the kitchen.

He did glanced at Fijore when he spoke, and blinked. It was cold out? He hadn't even noticed.. "Sounds good, but I hadn't noticed the drop in tempature." Kaito said, easily noticing the shyness and once again paid his attention elsewhere in the room.

Special? Did.. He write it? Now he was curious, but he supposed he'd have to keep reading to find out, even if his name wasn't listed.

Kaito glanced at Fijore when he asked if he was hungry, seeing how he had slept most of the day. "Yeah, actually." He answered.

He glanced down at his arm which used to have a needle in it, briefly stumped. When did he take it out? He hadn't even felt it. Kaito looked back at Fijore as he spoke and listened, making mental note not to go upstairs, and that he had to keep quiet. "Awesome, I'll keep it in mind."

Kaito usually heard Fijore when he came in, but he hadn't even noticed him until he spoke. "Morning, doc.." He murmured sleepily before rubbing his eyes some.

He blinked at what time it was, then glanced at Fijore who was wearing the biggest smile he had seen since being brought here. Kaito smirked some.

He glanced at the book and nodded some. "I haven't read much of it..but I had a hard time putting it down." He spoke a bit more casually.

"You were the first one to ask her to be our friend and hang out with us, all because you were promised sweets, remember?" Takashi reminded him calmly. "Every choice has consequences, and now you feel like she's trying to replace you when all she wanted were some friends." He explained, honestly beginning to think his cousin wasn't really listening, or thinking. "So really, if you want someone to be upset with, it should be Tamaki for asking us to bring to the club in the first place." Takashi stated, since that was how this all started, and to make a point, knowing his cousin wouldn't think like that. At least he hoped not.

The point was, they chose to befriend her in the beginning, for whatever reason and now they turning their backs to that friendship. It wasn't right, not was it fair to anyone.

Alice slowly calmed down as she listened to the younger twin speak. "She has a flight booked for at the airport downtown for Friday morning, first thing." She murmured quietly. That was less than a week from today. At this rate, she didn't even know if her mother would allow her to keep going to school. Soon, she heard her mom's voice as the woman came to check on her and quickly hung up the phone and hurried it under her pillows, before acting as if she had fallen asleep.

Kaito didn't wake until early that afternoon, around noon-ish. He still had that nightmare, but it wasn't nearly as bad and he could somewhat cope. Either that or he finally crashed and his body was demanding sleep.

When he woke, he was in a little bit of a state of confusion. What time was it? And why did he feel like he had slept more than he should have?

Kaito debated with himself before slowly sitting up and carefully getting out bed just enough to get the book, then laid back down in the bed and began to read. He didn't read much before setting the book down on the table as he felt himself dozing off. He maybe read a handful of pages, but he was easily drawn into the writing.

Eventually he fell asleep, but he'd still be sound asleep when Fijore woke and went to check on him.

It didn't take long at all for him to blissfully return to sleep as he listened to her soothing humming.

The only downside was, he slept for hours before waking again. He was still a little warm, but he wasn't nearly as hot as that morning. His body temp was much cooler. He slowly opened his milky eyes only to squeeze them closed and silently cursed. Now he had two problems, his eyes bothering him and he was hungry. Foodwise. Some of that tea also sounded really good right now.

Maddie was making a little progress in calming down, but she had cocooned herself in her blankets from head to toe, even her face. Making herself a fat bundle of blankets. She heard the kitten, then someone's voice and then felt her bed shift and she told herself it was Clint. She slowly opened her eyes and focused on what she could make out as his figure, from under the cocoon of blankets. "Mhm.. When I woke up I couldn't see anything.." She said from under the blankets, unwilling to come out.

Kaito blinked and carefully took the offered glass of water after opening the pill bottle and popping one into his mouth, then drank the water in the glass and set it down on the table. He made a mental note to remember that and closed the bottle back up, setting it down next to the glass.

He nodded to his words about checking on the other resident, and watched him leave the room before glancing at the bookshelf again.

Takashi didn't hesitate to shake his head at his questions about inviting Mia to sit with them or coming to the club. "Not if it upsets you, Mitsukuni, and it did. You made that clear this morning.." He said. "Why do you think I had that talk with her in the limo? That was my of telling her that the three of us couldn't be friends, and she blamed herself for coming between us. It's not what was intended." He spoke, trying explain it in a way he would understand.

Alice stifled a sniffle as she listened to him speak, unable to fight back her tears. "Will he still come rescue me..?" She asked softly. "She wants to send me back to France, to stay with my grandparents.. After we came home yesterday, we had a bout and she admitted that she never wanted to bring me here to begin with." Alice spoke, her voice cracking some and she held the phone away from herself when she started to cough.

Kaito heard him come back and he opened his eyes and he carefully took the bottle of pills and looked it over one good time. Even if he didn't usually take meds, he knew to always look for and read the label telling him when and how to take the pills.

Then he glanced at Fijore. "Thanks, and I'll keep that in mind." He said casually. He'd probably read it while he was here, it did look pretty interesting and he was pretty picky about what books he liked to read.

Kaito noticed the old and stained book, and he stared at it with his head tilted some. He got a very off-putting feeling from it though, one that gave him the idea that it wasn't a book to be messed with unless by the writer, or current owner, so he averted his eyes and once again closed his eyes to try and rest a little more.

But his ears and senses were listening, and awake, in case Fijore came back anytime soon.

Maddie woke sometime in the middle of the night after having a nightmare of what could have happened if she hadn't gotten herself or the kitten away from the woman at the church after a bolt of lightning blew a generator. It was pitch black, everywhere, which also set off Maddie's 'attacks' and she freaked out since all she saw was blood even though it wasn't really there. It was all in her head.
