Kaito glanced at Fijore when he spoke, and nodded. If course he could ask him something, anything really. He vaguely remembered mentioning it last night.. Maybe he didn't? Kaito ate a little more of the soup before glancing at Fijore once more, smirking some. "I'd like that.. Thanks."

For one, he'd have a good over his head and for two, he'd be close to the doctor, making him a very happy dark angel.

Allen sighed quietly once he knew she had left the room, and he laid back against the pillows for a moment, a hand resting over his forehead and his eyes closing. After a short time, just as the scent of her blueberry and vanilla waffles reached his nose, he slowly sat up again and used the night table to help himself stand. His body still felt heavy despite his fever going down. Clearly, it wasn't gone yet, it had just settled down for the time being. Allen used the support of several house-hold things to help him make it to the dining room table, but he made it. Once he could feel the chair, he pulled it out and sat down at the table, quite proud of himself for making it to the kitchen a;; by himself.

Kaito stifled a chuckle when Fijore replied with that grin, then subtly watched him walk out of the room. He picked up the journal and read two pages before he came back, and set the book on the table. He carefully held the bowl and tilted his soup. "Can't say I've ever had it." He admitted shyly before taking a bite.

A week? What was he supposed to do after that, go back to the streets? The thought made him feel a tad bad, but then he figured he could always just come visit him, and at least his wing would be alright by tomorrow. He enjoyed the food, like he had the previous days.

Kaito smiled some when he spoke, and subtly glanced at Fijore when he leaned back. After a bit, he figured his head fallen asleep and decided to read more of the journal, so he picked up the book and spent that hour reading a few more pages.

When he glanced up when he heard the man and smirked lightly. "It's alright." Kaito said, nodding some at the mention of food. "I can eat."

He didn't have to explain himself, but he did and it made her smile a tiny bit. "Goodnight.." She murmured softly as she drifted back off into a black dreamless sleep.

Maddie woke the next morning, not having noticed at first that she had sort of huddled up next to Clint sometime during the night, and when she opened her eyes she also realized that she couldn't get out of her cocoon of blankets. "Uhhhh, Clint? You awake?" She asked from the cocoon of entangled blankets, partly hoping he was already awake. She was stuck.

Allen quietly held her in his arms as if afraid to let her go, why? Sometimes he felt like this was a dream, and he'd have to wake up eventually. Wake up to nothing, alone in his manor. She rested her head on his chest and he delicately kissed the top of her head, closing his eyes. Then it hit him, her sweet scent sent a signal to the hunger he hadn't paid much attention to since waking up. He thought he was just hungry.. Could it really had been this? He tensed some and pressed his lips together, his arms holding her just a little tighter as he felt the tips of his fangs poking out. This was the second day..

"Certainly.." He murmured, focusing his will on pushing back the craving for her. "Go on and prepare breakfast, I can make it to the table." Allen said, trying to sound more like himself as he slowly released his hold on Kaneko so she was free to do so, if she so chose.

Kaito blinked when Fijore's voice had that ring of seriousness to it, and he glanced at the man. Okay, he'd picked up on quite a bit since he found him, but he hadn't guessed what kind of demon he was.. Listening though, he did feel not-so depressed. Still though, he didn't deserve bad luck. He smirked some though, as he raised his eyes back up at the ceiling.

He glanced at Fijore when he spoke again and sheepishly smiled a tiny bit. "But you didn't." Kaito said casually. In the end, he did it.

Takashi loosely hugged his cousin and nodded lightly, then released the hug and glanced at the smaller boy. Neither one of them had really touched their lunches, but lunch was coming to an end and it was almost time to head back to the classroom.

Later that day and as classes were coming to an end, Takashi found it easier to concentrate after talking with his cousin at lunch time. Now they just had to convince Mia they were okay, and invite her back to the club.

Alice was feeling better as well, and she hoped that tomorrow she could go to school. to Her surprise, her mother left her a lone most of the day so she could rest.

Kaito smirked some and shook his head. "Like you said.." He murmured, then glanced at him and smiled a little. "You have me now, and you just spent eighteen hours saving a guy you just met." He said with a small chuckle.

Then he got quiet and he lowered his gaze to the bed. "I might just bring more grief though.. Bad luck just loves hanging over me."

Honestly, at the moment he couldn't remember if the father had been mentioned or not, but he had figured that Fijore wrote it. Or at least thought it.

Kaito listened quietly as Fijore spoke, glancing at him in time to notice him shaking and his fists clinched. Now they were sharing pieces of their pasts, but he didn't have any idea what to say. He hadn't gotten that far into the book, had he?

Either way, the brothers had lived through hell. No wonder they were the way they were..

Kaito bit the inside of cheek. Why the hell did he bring that up? He should've known better by now! He glanced at Fijore only long enough to see the change his attitude, then glanced at the journal. "Twelve pages.. Maybe.. I'm kind of a slow reader." He said, hiding his fluster and looking down at the bed.

He shook his head lightly when he mentioned his family. "Don't mention it.." It was in the past, and still didn't remember a whole lot.

Eighteen hours? Was that..normal..for this kind of thing? He wondered silently. Kaito was mostly listening to him speak, relieved that he wouldn't black out or have serious headaches anymore.. But..

Now what?

Kaito smiled a tiny bit when Fijore pat his hand. "How could I say no to someone who gave enough of damn about me, to ask me to live?" He murmured quietly before looking up at up the ceiling, again. "I had a family..once.. I think. That accident I mentioned before? That was the last time I saw the woman or the girl I had nightmares about." He spoke calmly and quietly, sounding a little depressed but he figured it was normal.

Kaito was in a sort of daze, but it wasn't like he hadn't noticed Fijore's face. Underneath all that hair was a face he could probably stare at for quite sometime, if the circumstances were different.

When the man came back, Kaito glanced at him and offered a small smirk. "Hey.. Not sure how I feel yet, but I'd say you pulled it off."

Honestly, Kaito dreamed of the day of the accident he mentioned, but it wasn't a nightmare. Not like other times anyway. This time, he could clearly see the face of both the woman and the girl. They were on on a lake, in a very nice speed boat. He was driving. Everything was fine until the sky darkened and a violent storm struck without warning. Kaito tried driving the boat back to the docks when a very large wave crashed into the side of the boat, and the girl went overboard.

The woman was screaming the girls name and he had dived into the lake after her. His wings made it difficult, but he had gotten to her and swam to the surface. She was breathing, luckily. That wasn't even the best part. It was hell, getting back to the boat as violent waves knocked them around and he had sworn he'd drown before letting go of the girl. One wave picked them up and then crashed on top of them, sending them underwater.

That's when it ended, and Kaito slowly came to. He wasn't sure what time it was but he noticed Fijore by his snoring and glanced at him briefly before glancing around the room.
