The only time I have ever been comfortable while driving is with my ex in the car with me. And obviously that's not a real solution.

I have a well known phobia of driving, and nothing I've done has helped. Even tried a technique called flooding, which is you flood yourself with the thing that scares you. Until you basically just get used to it. And it's a successful technique, but I just cannot drive.

I've been actively trying to expand my abilities, and so that I can function. Biggest accomplishment I've made is I was able to host a panel at a convention once. That was a whole lot of fun.

Unfortunately every single person in my house has decided that I, the one with established social anxiety, has to be the person to answer the door for any reason. And my uncle will not shut the fuck up until I do it. So I answer the damn door.
