"......" Hal was silent for a moment, and then sighed as well.

"I'm sorry, Sierra." he said to her.

He then made a brief call to Ashley, telling her to show up in his office, and to just come in. Once the call was ended, he looked at the banshee again.

"...tell me." he mumbled.

"What did you learn, exactly, when I did that?" he asked her.

Hal just sighed.

"Very well." he said.

"We'll do it THAT way, then." he told her.

He raised his fingers again, and snapped them.

"Wish granted." he said, as an aura of his mana surrounded her.

'Been doing this a lot lately.' he thought.

'This better not become a regular thing... though these ARE extenuating circumstances...' he added.

"If this is the same man, then he's putting up an act." Hal told her.

"...Sierra, there's only one way to know if this is true." he then said.

"I need to call Ashley Encrae in here, and she can tell if you have drow mana in you... and if you do, she can take it out and identify it." he told her further.

"Is that all right?" he asked.

"If nothing else, we can eliminate him as a suspect if it doesn't match up."

"....there's something wrong with the fact that his name is Cecil Jenkins." Hal responded.

He then put the papers down, cleared his throat a little, and looked at her.

"Sierra." he said.

"Cecil Jenkins is the alias of a wanted and dangerous man." he told her.

"You would very well be living with a man that caused you to kill Azazel like you did." he said further.

"And I'm dead serious about that."

"Ah, yes." Hal replied.

"A bit early, but all right." he then said.

He then started to put the money away, but then seemed to freeze for a moment.

".....Cecil?" he asked.

"You said his name is Cecil?" he asked her.

Sierra just nodded in response.

Hal responded to this by grabbing some papers and looking through them. When it seemed like he found what he had been looking for, he froze again.

"....dear lord..." he said in a hushed tone.

"Come in!" she heard Sharp say through the door.

When she did, he looked at her and smiled softly.

"Ah, Sierra." he greeted her.

"Hello, hello." he said.

"Please, take a seat." he offered.

"How can I help you?"

He smiled back at her, and nodded.

"Thank you." he replied.

"I'm glad you're flexible like this." he told her.

"At any rate, I'll leave you be. I need to get back to what I was doing, anyway." he then said.

"If you ever wanna talk, just let me know." he finished, before starting to head off.

'Hopefully THAT amount will take hold a little quicker...' he thought to himself, suppressing a smirk.

"...." Ryker was silent for a moment, and then sighed.

"I see." he said.

"Do you have time to talk to me about it?" he asked.

"Admittedly, I can be a bit oblivious when it comes to my permanent roomie." he went on.

"How am I affecting others, and how can I change that?"

"Hm?" Ryker muttered.

"Odd. Normally he hates chatting." he said.

"Though... if the song becomes a real problem, let me know?" he asked.

"I... want to try and help, even though I'm not sure WHAT I can do..." he admitted, scratching the back of his head.

"Anyway, you okay?" he asked.

"You were really not good before he took over." he remembered.

"Oh, not much." he replied.

"I... well, I have the money right now, so I figured I'd pay next month's rent a bit early." he said.

"I won't have money again until a week into next month, and I don't trust myself to hang onto the money and not spend it." he added with a small chuckle.

"So I figured I'd pay a little early." he went on.

"Is that all right?" he asked her.

He paced back and forth a few times, several things going through his head.

"Well, not much to do now, but try and get back on track." he told himself.

He then went to a drawer, took some money out of it, and caused the same aura as before to seep into it. When he did so, he left the room, and looked around.

"Miss Gardner?" he called out, shyly and meekly.

"Miss Gardner, where are you?" he asked, closing the door behind him.

'It's only a week early, should be fine.' he thought to himself.

He seemed to be stunned for a moment, before she left.

"....what...?" he muttered.

"That's... not what she should have said at all..." he said to himself, closing the door.

"Damn it, did they find it?" he asked.

"And if so, how'd they get rid of it?" he wondered further.

"....hm. Things might be compromised..." he went on, before shaking his head.

"No. No, my plans were laid out a long time ago. They're flawless. I just need to bring her back to MY side."

There was silence on the other side of the room, before the door opened slightly, and her roommate poked his head out.

"...oh, hey." he greeted her.

"I didn't hear you come in." he said.

"...everything all right?" he then asked. "You look like a lot's on your mind." he commented.

"Something happen where you work?" he asked further, showing concern in his expression.

Hal put the phone away, and sighed before entering the Unit.

"Ugh." he groaned.

"An offspring of Vanessa to worry about." he said.

"TERRIFIC." he growled, before walking and thinking.

"But... why does his alias sound familiar to me...?" he wondered aloud. "I swear I've heard that name before..." he mused, heading back to his office.

'...doesn't change the fact that Azazel's still dead, though...' he then thought, wondering how Sierra and Aedan would be after they woke up.
