"..........." Vincent was silent as Madison said what she did.

"Right." he muttered, as he headed down to the basement.

He said nothing as he descended the stairs, narrowing his eyes.

'Where is she...?' he thought.

'And is he down here?' he wondered.

He was not, and he had entered the room that Madison was in.

"...someone's here." he growled, as he started to make his way to the door to the basement.

Lindsay took note of the address, and nodded.

"I'll tell everyone here." he told them, before leaving to do so.

Vincent then looked at Madison, and nodded as well.

"Yes." he replied.

"I am." he told her.

"Let us get there ASAP." he finished.

Ryker just crossed his arms over his chest, smirked, and sped up a bit, jogging backwards until he passed Eke.

"Zat so?" he asked.

"We'll just see about that." he told him.

"I can lift you up off the ground easy-peasy." he bragged confidently.

"And I can tear through meat JUST as well as YOU can." he added.

Ryker just rolled his eyes.

"See, that's the issue with having another voice in your head." he told him.

"A legitimate one, anyway." he added.

"Also, hey! I am NOT old!" he then insisted.

"Crazy? Fine. I've been crazy for a loooooong time." he admitted further.

"Also, you didn't miss much. Just a bit of a philosophical 'discussion' about the afterlife." he then mumbled, shaking his head again.

Vincent was silent as Madison said what she did, and it was Lindsay that spoke.

"Go on, then." he said.

"I'll tell Casey what's going on." he told him.

"Where is this person?" he then asked Madison.

"In case something goes wrong for whatever reason, we'll know where you're headed, and can get there quickly for backup." he reasoned.

Vincent nodded in response, before getting up and getting closer to Madison.

Vincent was silent for a moment, before he rose to his feet.

"All right." he said.

"Tell me, do we need to go now?" he asked her.

"And do we need more than just myself?" he asked further.

He could tell that Madison was not joking around when she said they had no time, but he didn't know JUST how dire the situation was... and the strength they'd need.

Lindsay was also there, silent, figuring that he didn't need to chime in at the moment.

"Depends on what happens in the afterlife." Ryker responded.

"I mean, you've led a good life. An innocent life." he told him.

"Some would say your father is waiting for you on the other side, with open arms." he went on with a warm smile.

"But nobody knows for sure." he said further, before pausing suddenly.

"Ah, shaddap." he seemed to say to nobody, but Eke knew who he'd be talking to.

"Yes, technically, but one can argue you truly DON'T." he finished, before shaking his head.

"........" Gregory was silent for a moment, before sighing.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Let's expedite this." he said.

He then reached over towards a wall, and punched some numbers into a panel that was there. After a few seconds, a large bookshelf erupted from the floor in front of Madison, and started to rise up towards the ceiling that seemed impossibly high.

But it stopped after a fashion, and Gregory pointed to one of the books.

"That one." he said.

"Page 125, name 3." he told her.

"Should tell you where they are, and you should be able to hone in on them."

Gregory was silent as he looked at the paper, before sighing.

"All right, let's go." he told her, slamming down his drink and stepping away from the table.

"Back in a few, Georgette!" he called to the woman behind the bar, before he and Madison stepped outside the tavern.

Once they did, he cracked his knuckles and seemed to cut the air with his scythe... creating a slit in the fabric of existence itself.

"Come on." he told her, stepping through.

"What's this all about, anyway?" he asked.

Vincent nodded in response.

"Contact whomever you can." he replied.

He and Lindsay then left the room, with Vincent sighing.

"So soul mates over the generations are real?" Lindsay asked him.

"Very rare, but yes. They're real." Vincent told him.

"Well, might as well go to the den and wait for the information." Lindsay added, as they went further downstairs.

Ryker was silent for a moment... before smirking.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"Good question." he said.

"Maybe you're too foolish to run away from me." he commented, making a joke in response.

"Or perhaps you're too precious for the reaper to come for you." he went on, before hugging Eke from behind.

"Regardless of whatever the reasons may be, I'm glad you broke that trend. SO happy." he told him sincerely.

Vincent looked around the area, and then sighed.

"Heh. The sign of a creative mind." he commented.

He then took a small breath, and told Casey all that he knew. Everything that Hal said, how he'd gone to Syraene, and what she'd returned with.

"Here." he said, forwarding the text to Casey's phone, which chimed when it had received it.

"That's what we're supposed to tell one of the Reapers." he told her.

"Would you mind contacting your mother and asking, seeing as she's more likely to help?" he then asked.

Vincent looked at the text, and nodded to himself.

Thank you SO much. he responded to her.

He then looked around, before disappearing from where he was, appearing in the backyard of the Fyrane manor... where Lindsay happened to be, just finishing up his morning outdoor exercises.

"Oh, hello." Lindsay responded, seeing him.

"Good morning." Vincent replied kindly. "Is Casey awake?" he asked.

"She's up in her studio, absorbed in another commission." Lindsay sighed.

"...I need her necromantic help." Vincent then said. "It's an emergency, and she's the only one I can think of that isn't preoccupied with other things right now, that can do it." he told him.

Lindsay was silent, before nodding. The two of them then ascended through the manor, stopping at the stairs and doorway to the attic. Lindsay proceeded to knock on the door rapidly.

"Casey? Your necromantic mastery is required!" he called in.

The man was silent, blushing slightly when she gave him a kiss.

"...hmph." he mumbled.

".......knock again when you have a break." he said.

"I mean a good long break." he then clarified.

With that, he poked his head back in and closed the door behind him.
