Zeke nodded.

"Yes. You do." he said.

"Immediately." he told her.

He was then silent, before sighing heavily.

"My sensors are not perfect, but they ARE 95% accurate... roughly..." he then mumbled. "But it seems she... she has Calaestus Thermaxia..." he told her further.

Calaestus Thermaxia was an uncommon illness that mimicked the flu... but the long term effects were even worse. So much so, that it was potentially fatal. Olivia's body temperature would keep rising... until her internal organs wouldn't be able to take it, and they would shut down.

And it was something only a Fae could contract.

When he stirred, Ryker was already awake.

But he was still there, as his torso still had Eke's tail wrapped around it.

He didn't seem to mind, though.

He was just laying there, reading a book, before he noticed that Eke was awake.

"Hey." he said.

"Sleep well?" he asked.

Zeke was silent as the interaction happened, before sighing as well.

He then leaned in and placed his palm atop Olivia's head. When he did so, a small pulse of pure mana emanated from it, and it seemed to wash over the child.

Zeke closed his eyes and started to concentrate... and even though he was silent, his facial expressions were saying more than he probably would have liked.

He started out neutral... then it went to one of harder concentration... to which it then turned to one of almost 'irritating concern'... and then his eyes popped open suddenly.

"......." he was still silent, but looked at Olivia with shock in his eyes.

He didn't say anything, though, just looked at Angela with an expression that said 'we need to talk'.

"This... isn't the flu." was all he said next.

"They really can be." Ryker responded.

He then watched as Eke fell asleep right there, his tail wrapped around his torso.

"......." he was silent as this happened, before smirking.

'Guess I have no choice but to sleep now.' he thought to himself.

'....or try, anyway...' he added, before closing his eyes and listening to the storm, as it passed directly over them.

Zeke just laughed a little when Angela said what she did.

"Heh. Yep." he replied.

"I am." he said, stretching the truth... but he knew it was best, seeing as the exact explanation would probably be too much for the little girl.

He then smirked, and did something he knew he could do, but rarely did, as it was pointless. He snapped his fingers, and a small glowing golden halo appeared over his head.

"See?" he asked.

"I bet I can help find out why you're not feeling so good." he told her with a kind smile, snapping his fingers again and making the halo dissipate into golden sparkles that disappeared into the air as they fell.

Ryker bit his lip a little, and sighed.

"...heh. All right." he said.

"Let's try and get some sleep then." he suggested, as he got comfortable on the bed.

'Come on." he told him.

"Get comfortable, and try and fall asleep to nature's sky symphony." he finished, the thunder roaring once more.

Zeke saw how bad the girl looked... and it broke his heart.

He hated seeing something like this.

But he nodded and grabbed the throw blanket, handing it to her.

"...." he was silent as the girl was covered, before sighing.

"Hey." he said to Olivia.

"Hi, I'm Zeke." he introduced himself.

"And maybe I can help you. Will you let me?" he asked her.

"...................." Ryker was silent again, before sighing and changing out of his shirt, putting on a rattier shirt... and taking off his jeans, revealing his plain boxer shorts.

"All right." he said.

"I was just going to head to bed anyway." he lied.

"....well, maybe not... but I know I should sleep anyway." he then came clean, making his way over and sitting down on the bed, the flashes of lightning illuminating the room now.

"Want me to close the curtains?" he asked.

"Sure." Zeke replied.

He then handed her the phone.

"Here's what I found." he told her. "Looks like a nice Italian-Greek fusion place." he went on.

"Found something I like, too." he continued.

"And... yeah, whenever she's awake again, lemme know. I'll join you and see if I can't find what's wrong."

"I... yeah. I did." Zeke replied.

"Um... I can take a look if you want to." he told her.

"I mean... I AM still technically an angel... sort of..." he muttered.

"My mana might not be designed for healing, but it CAN detect negative forces and such." he went on.

"At the very least, I may be able to isolate what the problem is."

Zeke watched her go again, before looking at the app.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"...hmmm." he mumbled further.

"Ooh." he then said, finding something that piqued his interest.

"Yep. Yep, that. And with that as well." he said further with a smirk.

"Should be good." he finished, deciding on what to eat when he found the place.

"..............right." Zeke responded, keeping his anger quelled inside him.

"Food." he said, changing the subject.

"You feel like anything in specific?" he asked.

"I can eat anything." he admitted.

"Ask my Mom. I was never a picky eater." he laughed.

Ryker returned the hug, and sighed.

"Preoccupied." he said with a shrug.

"Feel free to lay down in the bed." he told him, getting up from the chair and making his way away from the window.

"Why are you here?" he then asked.

"Can't sleep?"

"I... see." Zeke responded.

"That... sounds messy." he said.

"To understate it." he then mumbled.

"At least you're with her, still." he went on, trying to find a bright side.

"...but... why did he think you were a freak?" he then asked.

"That seems rather... harsh."
