"........." Ryker was silent when he heard Eke.

"Sure." he said back, having moved to the window, sitting down in the chair that was there.

He'd been watching the rain come down, and listening to the thunder, as well as watching the lightning.

"Come in." he told him.

He then sighed and looked back out the window.

"..." again, Zeke was silent, as he grabbed the book and brought it back.

He then started to flip through it, seeing how happy they were in the photos.

"Well... I'm... sure he'd understand..." he told her.

"But... what happened?" he asked.

"Why... is it just you and her?"

"Yeah." Zeke replied.

"Let's start with Olivia." he said.

"Whom I assume is your daughter." he went on.

"What's her deal?" he asked.

"Which is to say... is she your... biological? Or adopted?"

If Zeke hadn't been already taken by her, he would have been at that moment.

Her body looked amazing, especially for someone that went through childbirth (assuming Olivia wasn't adopted).

He stared at her for a moment, before shaking his head a little.

"Ah, yes." he said.

"A drink! Sure!" he called back to her.

".....yeah, sure..." Zeke responded.

He then watched her go, before wandering around, eventually finding the den and sitting down on the couch that was there.

"....ohhhh, Zeke..." he mumbled.

"What have you wandered into?" he asked himself, before pausing.

'And do you even regret it?' he then asked himself further, but internally.

He then paused for a moment, and shook his head.

"No. I do not." he told himself confidently.

Zeke was dumbfounded.

And his eyes gave it away.

"Woah." he said.

"Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah." he repeated.

"Just... just hold on a second. Back up." he told her. "I just witnessed a barrage of information, and I need a few seconds, to process this and organize my thoughts." he said.

He then proceeded to be silent for a moment, concentrating, before he took a deep breath, exhaled it slowly, and looking right at Angela.

"Firstly, let's get the smallest thing out of the way." he suggested.

"I'm cool with ordering in pizza or something." he told her. "Hell, I'll even pay for it all, regardless of what's ordered." he offered.

"Secondly.... you.... you have a child???" he then asked her, obviously wanting to shout out his exclamation, but reigning it in because of the info he'd heard about a sleeping child.

Ryker froze for a moment when he heard that.

"........" he was silent, before sighing quietly, and continuing.

He took his shower, and then made his way to what he was told was his room.

He stared at it silently, biting his lip.

'....why do I deserve a room...?' he thought.

'How can I have a room? What have I done to get this?' he asked himself, before shutting the door and sitting down on the floor.

"...damn it all." he cursed at himself angrily.

"......" again, Zeke was stunned.

"I, uh..." he stammered.

"Well, if it would be an inconvenience, then I... guess going OUT to dinner can be changed to staying IN..." he then managed to say.

"It depends on what 'too long' is." he commented to the one called Abby.

"Going out to dinner can take... a few hours. I don't know if that's over your limit." he told her.

"Either one is fine with me, I suppose." he then added, scratching the back of his head some, his mind racing with questions suddenly.

"..............ah..." Zeke stammered for a moment.

"I... ah..." he stuttered further, before shaking his head.

"Right." he said.

He then followed her into the house, but she saw that his gaze was determinedly fixed on the soft lights... until the door was closed, anyway.

"You... have a bunch of fae in the area?" he asked.

"What...? How... is that possible?" he asked her.

"....." Zeke was silent as Angela said that last part.

"Issues?" he asked.

"What sort of issues?" he asked her as he followed.

"Mechanical issues or something? Because I'm not certified or anything, but I AM handy with a tool kit." he told her.

"Or is it something else?" he then inquired.

"...something you'd rather not talk about, for whatever reason?"

Zeke was silent for a moment, and then sighed.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Yes, some of them that work there have a bit of a superiority complex." he lamented.

"Hopefully they see reason at some point." he went on.

"Yeah, you do SO much for the Unit, overall, it seems." he then commented.

Ryker was silent, before going and making Eke the tea that he'd wanted.

"Here." he said, giving it to him.

"Be careful, it is hot." he warned.

"I am going to clean myself up. I'm filthy." he then said.

"Then turn in for the night."

'She can relate to that...?' Zeke wondered.

'What does she mean by that? How can she...?' he wondered further.

"I see." he said.

"Well, it was very fortunate for you to have found Sharp." he told her. "Or, rather, for him to have found you." he then corrected himself.

"Also, it's good that your life was saved." he continued.

"I can't see the Unit medical wing functioning without you." he chuckled.

Ryker saw Eke smile, and smiled back.

He then quickly set to putting what he was able to procure away.

"There." he said.

"Done." he said further.

"What now?" he asked. "What's next for you?"
