Zeke shut the door and looked at the blade as she sat it down on the table.

"...it shouldn't." he said.

"That sword calls out only to those it deems worthy. And it is the farthest from an evil blade." he told her.

"I wonder where it's rested for so long..." he then said further.

"Missing. Hidden away until thought nothing more than a myth, even among mages." he continued.

"I knew the sword was real... Dad told me so... but he never told me anything about it, really. Other than the basics."

"Yeah." Zeke said.

The two of them then made their way to a corridor filled with doors, and Eke stopped at one, opening it.

"This is used for emergency meetings." he told her.

"We'll know if one's being held by a P.A. system announcement, so we'll have warning to clear out." he said further.

"Otherwise, we can use this for the time being."

Zeke just sighed.

"I've never seen it." he told her.

"But I've heard tales of it." he said further.

"The finest shining sword in the mortal realm. An indefatigable blade, peerless in its power and abilities." he continued.

"The ultimate. Excalibur." he went on.

"...and YOU'RE the one deigned to be it's master." he finished.

"...or... mistress. Whatever. The wielder."

Jake went back to his paper, as Kelly went inside the building, the door shutting behind them.

"Yeah..." Zeke muttered.

"Where best to go..." he then mumbled, thinking about it.

"Let's go to one of the spare rooms that's used for meetings." he told her. "Should be fine to talk there." he reasoned.

"...so. That sword." he then said as they walked.

"That's what I think it is, isn't it?"

The guard would have immediately taken defensive measures, as Kelly pointing the blade towards Zeke the way she did could have been misconstrued as threatening, if Zeke hadn't suddenly spoke up.

"Holy crap." he muttered.

"That sword is..." he stammered, before shaking his head.

"Jake, it's cool, it's cool." he told the guard. "She can come in. Her and I really need to talk." he said further.

"All right then." Jake responded.

"In ya go." he told Kelly.

"Come on." Zeke said to her. "We need to find a place to talk about your request... and that weapon." he finished, looking at excalibur.

The guard was silent again as she said what she did.

"...uh... huh." he said.

"Can I see some I.D?" he asked.

As she produced said I.D. and handed it to him, Zeke appeared from the other end of the security checkpoint.

"...the hell's going on here?" he muttered.

"Oh, wait... I know you, yeah?" he then asked Kelly.

"You were here... to see Kiah once or twice, right?"

The guard didn't seem to move from behind his newspaper, and she heard a 'sst' sound.

"..." he was silent, before peering out from behind the paper.

"Depends." he said.

"Who's asking, and why?" he asked her.

He could sense there was something familiar about her... but at the same time, he was quite sure he'd never seen her before in his life.

"Do you have an appointment?" he asked.

"Is he expecting you?"

"...yeah." Ash responded quietly.

"If by chance you see anything, let me know." he told her.

He was then silent for a bit of an awkward moment, before shaking his head.

"Anyway, get moving." he said.

"The sooner you head out, the sooner you get there." he reasoned, forcing a small smile on his face.

"Take care, dear."

"You do that." Ash responded.

"It's a bit of a flight." he told her.

"Anyway, hope your trip to the Unit is a fruitful one." he wished her, before ruffling her hair.

"Bye, sweetie." he said. "Love you." he finished.

She could hear the little bit of concern and worry in his tone... but she knew why it was there. Evan and Sammy were still missing, and nothing had been found out. At all. It was getting to Lindsay and Casey, and even her own parents were starting to get really antsy over it.

"And YOU'RE the chosen one." Ash said.

"Huh." he muttered.

"Well, that's really something." he said further. "To understate it." he added.

"Anyway, cloth and rope." he remembered.

"Should be some cloth in your Aunt's studio, and we should have rope downstairs somewhere." he told her.

"Got a preference for which one you're getting?"

Ash just shrugged.

"Sure." he said.

She then handed the blade off to him... and it crashed down to the floor, along with her father.

He let out a loud grunt when that happened, before trying to lift it up. With no success. None. No matter how hard he tried. Until he gave up and sat down on the floor right there and then.

"...geez." he muttered.

"Doubt even LINDSAY could lift that."

"..." Ash seemed to be stunned silent for a moment.

"...Excalibur." he said. "Like... King Arthur, Excalibur." he said further.

"Yep." Kelly confirmed.

"...holy crap." Ash muttered. "That's... and you're sure." he said.

"Confirmed earlier." Kelly told him.

"...Vincent?" Ash asked.

Kelly nodded.

"Well, he would know, I suppose." Ash admitted, scratching the back of his head.

"Hell of a find, then." he laughed.

Ash looked at the blade and thought for a moment.

"I have some thick cloth and some rope." he told her.

"You could wrap the blade in the cloth and then tie the rope around it. That should do." he reasoned, continuing to look at the sword.

"...damn, though..." he mumbled.

"Looks like there's more to that than meets the eye." he commented.

"Seems like you may have found yourself something extra special."

"No need to yell." she heard from the kitchen.

"I'm right here." her father said further. She made her way over, and saw that he was busy putting something in the oven, carefully making sure he didn't spill anything, before standing back up and closing the over door, dusting his hands off.

"There." he said.

"Now, then." he mumbled turning around.

"What's u-" he started to ask, before pausing and seeing her sword.

"...pretty sweet blade." he commented.
