"All right then." Vincent responded.

"Good luck." he told her.

"And glad I could help." he finished.

He then waved his hand at her, and the next thing she knew, she was surrounded by a small tornado that obscured her vision... and when it died down, she found herself in her room.

It seemed like as long as Kelly herself was being teleported, the blade was along for the ride, and didn't interfere.

"I'm sure you'll figure it out." Vincent told her with a warm smile.

"As for a teacher..." he mumbled.

"Well, Jaden deals more with katanas and thinner blades... and even then, his knowledge is basic..." he went on. "Demitra is awfully hard to get ahold of..." he continued.

"Racquel taught Demitra, so she may be able to teach you." he offered.

"But that IS a blade from the heavens. Wouldn't Aimee and Uriel's son be able to help?" he asked.

"Oh, you'll become proficient in blades." Vincent told her.

"The sword will make sure of that." he said.

"The longer you spend with it, the better you'll be with it, until it'll seem like you've been using it since you were a child." he assured her. "But some training will probably be good." he added.

"And hm?" he asked coyly.

"Oh, it means that you're now probably one of the strongest people on the planet." he told her.

"Your mana will receive such a massive boost, you may be on par with my sister."

"It is considered the ultimate blade." Vincent responded.

"There's nothing I can't cut. Unless the user wishes it not to cut." he went on.

"That sword will become an extension of your will, your body. It will be able to cut through solid thick steel, it won't damage a tree branch, all depending on what you want it to do, or not do." he explained.

"And it means you are a very instrumental part of the future." he then said.

"If this were a chess game... you'd be the Queen right now." he continued. "Or the King. Perhaps both." he shrugged.

"Oh, and it's essentially and effectively, a portable pocket nexus." he added nonchalantly at the end.

"Old." Vincent responded.

"I'm old. Very old." he told her. "Age is borderline meaningless for me." he said.

"I'll die when fate is ready for me to die. And that's all I'll say on the matter." he told her further, his tone indicating that this part of the conversation was over.

"I am human, though. So there's no weirdness about my species." he quickly assured her.

"But yes, I knew Arthur. Before he became King Arthur." he confirmed.

"Knew Merlin, too." he added.

Vincent stopped when she asked her question, and smiled. He didn't smirk. He smiled.

"How?" he asked.

"Simple." he said, making his way to his desk.

"I remember it." he told her, sitting down at it. "I remember seeing it, I remember Arthur wielding it." he revealed.

"And I remember how he tricked me out of 15 gold coins when he bet me that I wouldn't be able to lift it, either." he then revealed. "He was a real trickster, he was." he said in a nostalgic tone.

As though he'd personally known the man.

By the time she'd finished asking her questions, Vincent had retrieved a book, and was making his way back to her.

"It's very real." he told her.

"And it seems fate has deigned you to be the wielder of it." he said.

"The Sword in The Stone, The Lake Blade, Arthur's Destiny, whatever you want to call it, it boils down to the same thing." he went on.

"Excalibur. The ultimate shining blade." he declared.

Vincent paused for a moment, stopping as she said what she did, and asked for a translation. He then looked at her and smirked slightly.

"Well, let me put it THIS way..." he said.

"Not many people believe that sword to be real. Even those in the mage community argue over it." he told her.

"However... that inscription essentially says only the chosen one can use that sword, while others will find it as heavy as... well... as though it were stuck in a stone and anvil." he said further.

"Almost like a... sword in the stone." he went on.

"And last I recall... a young man by the name of Arthur was known to use it." he continued. "He used it to help those who couldn't help themselves, and became a man of the people."

"Not sure." Vincent responded, taking out a special magnifying glass and looking at the base of it.

"Hmmm." he mumbled. "Flip it, please?" he asked her. She did so, and he continued to look. "....not... really... seeing..." he mumbled before stopping abruptly. "Oh-oh-OH!" he exclaimed.

"Found it!" he told her.

"Here, take a look." he said, handing her the implement. She accepted it and took a look... finding the inscription he'd spoken of.

Only one worthy of me may wield me. All others shall find me as heavy, as immobile, as stone and anvil. Let the one who worthy use me to marshal't their people through times of strife, to a golden age of prosperity and enlightenment it read.

As she read it, Vincent just smirked and headed towards his books.

"Oh, there's a 95% chance it won't be." Vincent assured her, before bending down and grasping at it. He then strained all of his muscles for about 6 seconds, trying to lift it up and having NO success at all.

He stopped immediately afterwards, stood up, and chuckled.

"Nope. Not even budging an inch." he said.

"Ohhhh boy, oh boy, oh boy." he mumbled.

"Actually, before we go thumbing through the right books, bring it to my desk." he then said. "If I'm right, there should be a tiny inscription at the base of the actual blade, but we'll need a magnifying lens to read it."

"Well, again, I have some books that will provide some written confirmation." Vincent told her. "If the blade you're holding matches some things in the books, then there's a strong chance it'll be confirmed." he said.

"And really? There's one more thing." he went on, stopping as they both reached his study and turning around.

"Let me see it." he told her.

"And by that, I mean gently lay the blade down on the floor, and let me try and pick it up." he then clarified, in stark contrast between how Lucas and Jaden had asked to see it, or had tried to handle it.

Vincent just smiled.

"That will be a bit of a paradox, there." he told her.

"Not to jump the gun, but if that is what I think it is, it IS indeed classified as a relic. An S-class one, too. But being at the Council or Triad will be the worst thing in the world for it." he revealed.

"It won't hurt the Council. Won't hurt the Triad. It'd be safe there, and nothing would happen." he assured her.

"But it'd be a massive disservice and disrespect to the blade." he went on.

"...sorry for sounding like I'm hyping it up and teasing you, but if my suspicions are correct, you have a legendary weapon in your hands."

Vincent laughed in response.

"He DOES know me." he said. "Then again, my wanting distractions from Council work is not unknown." he then admitted.

"Regardless, that boy does know his swords. Odds are he was able to tell you what kind it was and such?" he asked.

"And that it's from the period of the early Middle Ages." Kelly added.

Vincent just laughed again.

"If my suspicions are correct, he has NO idea how right he is." he told her.

"If you want to." Vincent responded.

"Tell me, what do you know about it?" he asked.

"And have you shown it to anyone else?" he asked further, glancing back at her.

As they walked, and as he asked her the questions, she could sense that he was... not apprehensive about it, but there was a definite seriousness to his words. However, his eyes were in stark contrast to that.

She could see sheer excitement and potential glee in there.

And perhaps... a hint of nostalgia?
