@star2000shadow: Hello again! Is your neck feeling better? o3o

@blinkini: Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well! And yeah, I wasn't sure about it with the first couple episodes but it's really gotten better and better!

@blue: I haven't seen the two newer films yet but I do remember being really excited when seeing the trailers for them. I just haven't had the chance to see them yet. But yes, David Suchet is a legend. <3

@blue: Yep! I do enjoy a good superhero flick. Never been a big fan of period pieces, though, lol. The maybe exception to that being like, the Poirot mysteries that I used to watch on PBS, which are set in the early 20th century.
@star2000shadow: Oh, ouch! Maybe time to change position, yeah. It's a wonder I don't get a stiff neck more with the weird ways I sit in front of the computer, too often resting my chin on my drink cup. :P

@star2000shadow: Hocus Pocus is such a good movie, I adore it! I never got super into the Halloweentown movies but I'm going to try to watch them this year. And yeah, the practical effects in Ghostbusters are so good!

@blue: I will say there's an exception I have to the jumpscare thing, though it's not technically a movie, but video games: I really love the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. XD I can't play the games myself because my anxiety is terrible, but I love watching people play it (Markiplier is my fave) and learning about all the lore.
My dad really likes action movies. I'm super picky about them myself and I'm usually not crazy about his movie choices, lol.
@star2000shadow: A Red Riding Hood horror, huh? Interesting. I mean, the original stories are definitely not for the faint of heart to begin with, so making the leap to 'horror' doesn't take a whole lot, I guess!
Though quite aside from the really scary stuff, I also enjoy the stuff a bit more lighthearted like Hocus Pocus and Ghostbusters.

@star2000shadow: Yeah, true. I'm also not a super big fan of stuff that relies heavily on jumpscares; I think jumpscares have their place in horror but some more modern horror movies depend on that for their fright factor.
I think I just like supernatural slashers (Michael, Freddy, Jason) and mad scientists (Dr. Herbert West) more than I do the ghost and torture type stuff.

@GoblinsAndTea: Ah, yeah, Halloween tends to be a pretty United States-centric holiday. Which is weird given its origins are European! That's cool that you got to celebrate it some in school though, and of course you can celebrate on your own at least. :D
What kinds of dolls? Like, ceramic dolls? Or BJDs? A lot of dolls give me the willies but BJDs usually don't freak me out, I have no idea why.
God my mom used to have this antique doll that was around maybe 2 and a half feet tall, that gave me the heebies at night, lol.
That sounds like a fun competition!
@star2000shadow: That is a good question. I think Hollywood has gotten too hung up on being more "realistic" and "gritty" and kinda forgets to include the fun at times.

@GoblinsAndTea: I've definitely killed some plants over time myself, but I'm stubborn when I like something I guess, lol. That's cool that your friend studied plants! I haven't gone that far, other than reading up on the plants I own or want to own.
I love cacti and succulents too, but they don't seem to love me very much. Or maybe it's that my room doesn't get enough light, lmao. I'm actually moving away from succulents in general because I can't seem to get mine enough light even with a growlight. Mid-to-lower light plants seem to be my friends.
The other big topic in here has been Halloween, especially now that it's September and as far as I'm concerned the beginning of Spoopy Season. Do you have any plans yet for Halloween? o3o

@Wildfire: Oh wow, those sound fun! Reminds me of events on other, now gone, avatar sites. I always loved those events. :D
Lol, yeah it does!

@Wildfire: Hello! Yes I did! And yes, I am! My first event and it's plant-related? I'm a plant parent so I'm thrilled. The items are so cute, too! I'm looking forward to what the activities will be, too. :D

@Ava: Ha, that makes sense. I'd want to wear hats in the winter as well! Especially cute beanies... o3o
I used to decorate my room a little as a kid but never very much. Mostly I think I made some homemade decorations. The musical Christmas lights sound awesome! I seem to recall something like that when I was younger, too; I don't think we had any but maybe someone we knew did? I hope you're able to find something like that someday.
Ah, yeah, you don't want to introduce dust if she's super sensitive to it, that makes sense. The napkin idea sounds like a good one though!!

I had a goofy as hell dream last night.
From my dream journal:
I dreamed I met Markiplier! There was a weird convention with creators doing craft projects, and Mark's project was miniatures. He had like a little group of characters I think, and various prop items.
After the presentation, the creators split off to do meet & greet type things. Initially I didn't bother trying to meet Mark, figuring he'd be mobbed, but then he loudly (jokingly) 'complained' that no one was coming to talk with him, so I went and bonded with him over miniatures. He teased me about something but I don't remember what.
Also for some reason the convention center was like flooded, there were even waterfalls, and you had to swim from place to place.
Afterwards, somehow I was in the UK, and went for a chicken dinner takeaway. Who should be working the till (segregated by plexiglass for Covid-19 safety, of course) but Jacksepticeye himself! This was green hair-era Sean, though it was pretty heavily faded.
He and another employee rang me up, and I pointed out that I hadn't ordered yet. The young lady working alongside Sean responded, but I couldn't hear her; when she repeated herself she explained it was "_____ night" and thus I could only get the one meal, though I still didn't hear what it was. Turned out to be like half a baked chicken with I think boiled potatoes and probably a vegetable.
After I got my food, while I was still at the counter (did I ever pay?), the cook came out seeking reassurance that the food was good, which it was!
