GAH!! I went to Walgreens last night and forgot to get the extra pill sorters! Omg I'm a moron. XD

My plans... mostly I have planned to prune my increasingly fabulous Wandering Dude plant and repot to the trimmings to help fill out the plant... might repot my ZZ Plant if I get ambitious. Also I need to vacuum (ew).

What about you? o3o

@Ava: Hey that's awesome! Good luck! :D

@Ava: She's a real trooper! Thank you. :D

@Count Trashula: Aw, you had to leave them behind? I had to leave my old plants behind when I left California. I was supposed to go back for them but never had the chance. I really miss my lucky bamboo; it was a combo of my and my old roommate's lucky bamboo plants (she passed from cancer in 2016) and I really wanted to keep it alive. Unfortunately I just had no way to travel with it.

Posted in Chronic pains! The worst. Posted 3 years ago

I have chronic pain (among other things) after a possible seizure in 2008 (the useless Emergency doctor told me it was 'just a panic attack'--yeah, a panic attack that left me permanently disabled??). Also developed balance problems, motor tics, and difficulty with math and general concentration. I had a little trouble with stress before, but absolutely cannot handle stress at all now (it triggers my temper and/or massive panic attacks). I lost my job, couldn't get another, lost my apartment and lived in my car a while. Things have improved since in my life but the cause of my sudden health changes has never been figured out and I still can't work.

Also fun is that it's aaall invisible (except sometimes people witness the motor tics) so people tend to write me off as lazy, which really hurts because I want to be productive. 🙃

@Count Trashula: I live in Florida, plus it's indoors, so I think mine will survive pretty well. Especially seeing how it's been thriving with me barely paying attention recently! I love her, haha. I have succulents and one little tiny cactus, but ironically I seem to have more trouble with them (not enough light) than I do with my other plants. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@LordVehk: Aw, thank you so much! I'm quite proud of her, haha. I definitely have a mixed bag of success with my plants but this one has done wonderfully even with me kinda ignoring them recently (depression bleh).

@Totalanimefan: It is, but I enjoy it, too. I just hope I have enough potting soil for repotting my ZZ Plant, I didn't think about it!

Oh god the roommate is cooking and I think something is burning aaaaa

I found this little broken off bit, probably stepped-on, piece of a Wandering Dude plant on the floor at Walmart about three months ago.

And today, she looks like this!

I'm like a proud parent, haha. I'm going to trim the trailing ends and re-root the trimmings in the soil to help fill out the plant, then let it grow out again. I've really fallen for this little survivor!

@PoeticTorment: Ah, back to school. The only part of that I miss is getting new school supplies; I always loved that lol.

I'm doing okay. Fighting a depression flare up recently but I'm feeling better today than I have in a while, so that's good. Just did a Walgreens run to buy water and some foods. I have a food allowance card from my health insurance that only works at Walgreens and a few other stores and it doesn't roll over at the end of the month, so I try to make sure to spend it all each month.

And I was tempted by the school supplies, mostly some pretty pens, but good lord I have so many pens I don't need anymore LMAO. Though I do want to start my Sharpie collection again, I used to have so many of them in such pretty colors...

Oh hey, been meaning to ask, how did you do the animated text in your thread banner and titles? I really love it. :D

@Totalanimefan: Wow, that fan + filter is actually pretty brilliant. I have an air purifier, and I live in Florida so wildfires aren't common (rains too much) but I've definitely got to remember that trick if/when I manage to move back to SoCal. o3o

@PoeticTorment: hiya, it's been a while! (Minecraft kinda ate me for a bit.) How are you doing? :D

@Wildfire: Oh someone who understands the struggle with pill sorters, hallelujah! I really more and more think I have adhd; the more I hear about it the more it seems to fit me. XD

Yeah, but she's trying to be on top of it, calling doctors and making appointments and stuff. This comes right before a scheduled and long-coming vacation for her, too, so we're hoping she doesn't have to cancel to take care of this.

Yeah I need to repot my ZZ Plant, I need to trim my Wandering Dude and replant the trimmings to help fill in the plant (it grew like crazy from a tiny cutting, I'm so proud!), my Marble Queen Pothos needs a bigger pot I think, plus a moss pole to climb. Plus I have a bunch of baby succulents I want to pop in one of my vacant pots.

I love my plants and feel really bad that I haven't been taking great care of them; thank goodness most of them are troopers!

@Totalanimefan: Some need some pruning, some need some repotting, that sort of thing. I have these poor Golden Pothos cuttings that have been sitting in water for literally months now that I need to transfer to soil, lol, and a Wandering Dude/Inchplant that's getting leggy--which is great, it's a trailing plant--except it really needs to fill in in the middle more. I'll probably trim the trailing bits and re-root them in the pot to fill in the gaps a bit.

Also I'm going to my dad's next week and that means there's a chance he'll come inside if I need help carrying stuff so I gotta clean up in here anyway lol.

Hello, welcome! Hope you enjoy your time here; I'm fairly new myself and I really enjoy the place. Everyone's super nice here. :D

Plant talk is reminding me that I have plants I need to tend to. I've been kinda neglecting them other than turning on the growlight and watering when needed. >_>
