My dad made us Beyond Burgers for lunch, my first time trying them. They're really good! Even the vegan cheese he's got is shockingly good, both taste and texture wise (the last time I had vegan cheese it was gross).

I did go for a walk earlier (it's rather hot out but it's very pretty) and we're going out for dinner tonight. I feel like I should go swimming while I have the chance but I just am not feeling it for some reason.
It's been raining here a ton lately; today and yesterday have been the first clear afternoons we've had in a while!

And haha, me neither, I keep looking in the mirror and smiling every time it reminds me. But also I'm thrilled to have it short again; I hate having to wear my hair up in a big ol' clip.

@Purpsy: There's a really cool flea market near me that I really want to check out too, and I know there's a goodwill relatively nearby (I won't touch Salvation Army for several reasons). I haven't wanted to take public transit since the pandemic started especially since most places aren't even requiring masks anymore, so I'm mostly reliant on my roommate for transportation which limits my options generally. I did find out that because I'm on full disability benefits I might be able to get a free monthly bus pass! Which would just be amazing. I need to call about it.
I really want to go do something with my dad today, I just don't know what. I'm having a nice time visiting him but I don't really feel like going swimming (he lives at the beach) but otherwise it's kinda too hot to be outside. Plus he's taking a nap (he's "on vacation" too lol). So here I am, typing away on forums and discord. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh that's pretty! It looks awesome. I've never seen anyone put pumpkin seeds on the top like that before!

Thanks, guys! I'm really excited about the new look, I feel better about myself when my hair isn't long and obnoxious.
@Count Trashula: Ah, yeah, getting it taken care of by a professional is really nice but not cheap, I totally get that. That's why I was so excited about getting treated; it's not something I get to do often!
@GoblinsAndTea: Oh that sounds so cool! I've never done a mohawk though I guess with this cut I could if I wanted, lol.
@Totalanimefan: Isn't it pretty? It reminds me of the ocean. :3
@MaxIsConfused: Oh gosh, I've only ever trimmed my own hair once; I got fed up with my super long hair years ago because I only ever wore it up in a bun anyway, so I lopped it off at my shoulders--kinda unevenly and I eventually had it fixed, lol. I remember my coworkers being like "but why? Your hair is so pretty!" And I'm like... you guys only ever got to see it if I took it down specifically for you to see, lol.

@koneko: Oh you had yours teal too? Haha, that's awesome. :D I really hope whatever job you get lets you keep your colored hair; I know mine gives me a confidence boost and makes me smile when I look in the mirror, and that's always nice. :)

@Wildfire: Oh gosh, yeah that's understandable then, lol.
Lmao I'm visiting my dad and he just informed me that he's "going to take a crap" (in a joking tone). I'd almost forgotten he spends a long time in the bathroom in the mornings... but then used to get mad at me for taking just as long or less in the shower (and that's including like drying off, getting dressed, etc). XD
Ah, parents.

@Purpsy: I buy a lot of my clothes basics from Walmart. Things like jeans and cotton shorts. Then pair them with my expensive t-shirts. XD
Aw, dude I love tie-dye, I have several shirts that are tie-dye. You should go for it sometime! It's fun. :D

@Totalanimefan: SAME. She always tells me how much better stuff like pasta comes out when I make it.... Well for starters I pay attention so it doesn't stick or burn and I don't cook it into mush either... She likes everything mushy. Bleh.

@Purpsy: It really is! And I managed to get three new hoodies this year like right in time for the weather to be too hot to wear them. Darn Florida!
