@Shark: That reminds me of the episode of family guy where meg asks god to kill her "god, kill me now" she says, and multiple times, god grabbed his sniper rifle but ended up being too busy for her. lol
New york times best seller!
Prion diseased slayed whole villages in older times. Actually, it was especially a problem in one specific village that consumed the brains of the diseased to honor them. Can't remember their geographical location...

Huh, never heard of Libba Bray. Contemporary?
I don't usually heard about authors until it's at least 100 years since their death.... Ha. Haha...
Oh she wrote a great and terrible beauty! A book I chose not to read when all my friends were raving about it in high school. When they weren't talking about twilight...
Going Bovine is described as a surreal dark comedy... Sounds like just my thing. Haha. Prion disease is awful though. Stuff of nightmares.

It seems so complicated, all of it.
Lol, I just said "all of it".
Btw, what book were you reading?

@Saeyra: I imagine it would have been easier for them if they could compare notes like us! Haha.

@Majesticles: By the same logic, Nigel could have ignored me and this whole thing wouldn't have happened. A conversation goes two ways, buddy. Don't try to put it on me.

@SirLionelNigelConrad: And why should you be giving advice? Did op ask for your advice?

@SirLionelNigelConrad: Look, can we put the passive-aggression away? I started this thread so we can moon gaze as a community, not to talk about another thread. You're welcome to participate too.
I'm politely asking you to be on topic.

@Majesticles: Yes, and I replied to their comment pointing out the fact that they didn't and can't directly answer my question. Do you have a problem with that?
I seem to be having a lot of trouble with people misunderstanding what I asked today. And it seems to be the same people over and over again.

@Saeyra: First of all, I appreciate you trying to help.
Second, your response didn't address how they could have figured out that people in different locations were looking at the same celestial body. Yes, no doubt the chinese did closely observe the moon for thousands of years, but do you see how the question you answered was not what I asked?
Third, it was a joke. I've been told I have a peculiar sense of humour so I hope you won't hold it against me for not appealing to your tastes.
I'd be glad if you would look out your window and observe the moon one night and tell us about it, much as the ancient chinese have done.

@Shark: Oh, I think I know what you mean.
I only took sleep medication once (I had a rly bad cold and I only had the medicine that made you drowsy). It felt like my body was asleep but my mind was not. If the trouble with bad sleep is in the mind, that kind of thing really doesn't help...
I hope you can figure something out. Waking up every half hour sounds like a bad time.

@SirLionelNigelConrad: I was asking the op. I don't know what behooved you to reply to me as you are not capable of answering my question.
And just to add, sociopathy and psychopathy are two closely related but different constructs in the field of mental health research. It has nothing to do with trying not to hurt other people's feelings.
I ask that you kindly mind your own conceit.
