@Shark: I think its root lies in the combination of my inferiority complex and narcissism.
Basically the thought that I'm so great, and yet I'm still so worthless. Even though this person is so much greater than me, they don't deserve it because I'm so much better. Yet I'm still so worthless. Hence the anger.

I don't know, introspection? I think I started out angry, and eventually I dug deeper and found jealousy and underneath that a deeper sense of worthlessness.
As I get older, I feel the same sorts of things, but my thoughts about them get more layers. 
Just like pizza. (not like pizza at all.)
