Welcome home!
I've seen a few nice RP's around here, so I know they happen, its just a matter of finding a good partner I suppose. I personally used to be active in the forum based RP world for a little while... I liked the huge worlds and variety of people my character could interact with... but I've never tried the one-on-one style. I worry I might be too picky with what I do and don't want to do theme-wise. I don't like "school" or "slice of life"... I'm a horror/fantasy/sci-fi junkie. A lot of people don't jive with that lol. Plus I get stage fright about it in my old age, and worry if I'm a good enough writer to hang. But, I'm getting off topic! I have definitely seen good roleplays here, so the more people we have that want to do it should absolutely encourage more people to join in :D

Oh man, I first read "futurist" as "fursuiter" and that made the game a lot different in my imagination XD I was like "dang, things just got real!"

@Jolly: I'm technically in Thornton which is a lot more low-key so far. But I have not left the house in over a month unless its to go to my doctors appointment twice a week or to get groceries... and even then I've been having my husband do it. I can barely walk my pregnant self across my house without feeling winded. I'm huge and about ready to have this kid any day now lol. I want to stay very clear of Denver, there's just too many people, but that's where my midwife is now and there isn't much I can do about it. Ive also got a friend and his pregnant wife who live in Greeley so I might have to check in on them because that's just scary. I can't believe some people. Buh.

@Jolly: OH SNAP. I didn't even realize that was happening here. Nobody says anything about it. If I were not so pregnant I'd come be your body guard because JUST LET someone come at one of my friends and I'll put the hurt on them. I really kind of hate people even more than usual right now. Thank goodness we have some good individuals left.

WOW. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. That's excessive. Its extreme.
So I'm in Denver-ish, and the worst it got was the protests. I personally think they're dumb and are spreading irresponsible ideas, but I feel like they have every right to protest as long as they do so peacefully. It bordered on not peaceful, and I know those same people don't support everyone's right to protest, but I don't want to sabotage my rights by telling them they shouldn't do what they're doing, y'know? ...but what you are experiencing is harassment, its dangerous and scary, and I'm so sorry you have to go through that. To think that this is what people feel like oppression is just smacks every oppressed people in the face. I'm SO SORRY they can't get their hair cut at a salon, SOOOO SORRY they have to think of people other than themselves for once. Ugh, its disgusting. We deserve better from our fellow humans, we deserve to be better to each other.

ALWAYS DO THE THING. If you feel like you should do something, go for it. Those "but"s are always going to be there. For me its I should draw BUT I have no good ideas, BUT I'm not as good as I want to be, BUT I'm not inspired etc... What I should focus on, and probably you should to is: BUT I really need to if I want to get better, BUT it will make me happy to accomplish something, BUT everyone is usually impressed by whatever I do. Take a chance, do the thing, be happy about life <3

Mostly I've had a good whatever. I'm in the last stretches of being pregnant, so mostly I've been sleeping and eating a lot, which is great because I actually CAN do those things while quarantined. I have to see my midwife twice a week due to hypertension and right now I have to be prepared that if I go in, they could just decide that's the day I'm going to have my baby. Its weird because I'm not ready for it to be today, but I probably won't be ready for it in two to three weeks when its "supposed" to happen. Technically I was supposed to have until June 15th, but high blood pressure tends to complicate everything. Creating a tiny human is such a weird experience. BUT YEAH, my whatever has been more or less pleasant :p

Right now I just have a dog.
The best reason for having a pet is because they are great companions. Unconditional love is rare and you gotta snug it when you can.
I don't dream of owning too many strange pets because I've had almost everything you can fit in a house. Rats, Mice, Ferrets, Hamsters, Guinnea pigs, Snakes, Spiders, Dogs, Hedgehogs, Bats, Squirrels, Crows, Parrots, , Fish, Millipedes, Praying Mantis, Frogs, Lizards, uhh... probably a lot more I cant think of right now lol...
The BEST way to make pets happy is do your research. Even down to the specific breed of dog. Many animals require special care and diets to thrive, and not knowing what you're doing can make them sick quick.

@Xanthan: Thats a great attitude. Positive thinking sounds like hippy BS until you practice and get good at it... the things you dwell on tend to be the things you attract in life. I had to try really hard to get invasive negativity out of my life, and now that I have I am so much happier. It sounds like you're on your way to that state of mind as well.

I don't even use my instagram anymore. Is that where people post art? I was big on DeviantArt before it all devolved into weird fetish porn. I don't have anything against weird fetish porn but my art is definitely not going to stand out in that selection XD I've just been posting to facebook and pillowfort lately. I want to take commissions but I don't even know how to do that anymore either. What even is self promotion?

I've been with the far cry series my whole life. It started strong and went in some pretty great directions. I remember how thrilled I was playing Far Cry 1's multiplayer and watching the characters legs, torso, and head all point in different directions depending on where they were walking, shooting and looking. Now I'm thrilled at the sheer amount of content and flavor packed into the game. I love that its got RPG elements, too, because I'm all about the good ol' RPG.
I 'member BLOOD, I played that way too much. I killed many a mime in those days. That could explain my irrational hatred for mimes...
OOH. Another good one, that recently got a modern update: Shadow Warrior. Lo Wang is probably the most quotable protagonist in gaming.
