@CycloneKira: Ayyo I suppose you and Ben could visit me in my cottagecore house and I could visit you in your cyberpunk one.

Posted in CycloneKira's Mood Checker + Chat Posted 4 years ago

@CycloneKira: Then I think this is as good a place for that as any :vichardhappy:

Posted in Jabberwocky Junction (come chat!) Posted 4 years ago

@CycloneKira: Yeah you're not a cottagecore type you're more urban cyberpunk.

Posted in Do you have any tattoos? Posted 4 years ago

@Edelaen: I have this tattoed, except it's plain black ink on my skin:

It's on my arm, above my elbow. It means 'love makes the world go round', and it's a symbology that's associated with the K-pop group WJSN (Cosmic Girls).

@CycloneKira: Like koneko said, threads like this usually go in undercurrent, since that's basically where you can post back to back without worrying about rules against double-posting. But if you're not planning on posting more than two times a row before someone chats/replies, you can keep the thread here.

Also, good on you for deciding to follow your dreams no matter where you are. That's my girl. I wish I could give you a big hug right now, but spam-clicking the hug button on Kofk will have to do. Here, let me fill your cup

@Edelaen: If you've learned so much from him then he is a teacher, and like you said we can have many and learn from many sources as we walk our path. It's definitely important to use critical thinking on all the material and opinions you come across on witchcraft and realise what makes sense to you.

That is sad. It's always sad to lose touch with a friend. Maybe it could be easy to get back in touch again now, though, since it's the age of social media? Some of my friends, when we get back in touch it's like we've never lost touch, it's that easy. With others there's some initial awkwardness.

@Totalanimefan: Everything is so far flung in the US. Some of y'all literally need to drive to come across a neighbour or another house. It's so wild to me.

@dragoness129: I lessen my nervousness by driving really slow, but driving does make me nervous despite that. So I can relate. I'm especially nervous about parking. I haven't mastered how to do it without bumping the car.

@CycloneKira: I prefer smaller towns/cities, myself. I like to limit my world. I don't like 'getting around' all that much. So I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like new york. I'd probably enjoy small towns more, or those cute little European cities.

@Edelaen: Wow you had a teacher :O he sounds awesome. And yeah, that's true- different strokes for different folks. I love decks as tools- tarot, oracle, lenormand- and other than that my body is my instrument. I do like lighting candles. And I like writing my intention repetitively while I visualise, like a mantra, and folding and putting a knot around the paper to close the spell.
I don't have a teacher in physical life but I'm very inspired by Tylluan Penry, a witch on YouTube who said that all a witch really needs to cast a spell is her breath. So I'm focusing on developing my body as an instrument so that I can cast spells with things like my breath and my aura.
I think once we realise that every witch walks her own path but also that we do need guidance even on our own unique path, figuring out what we're drawn to and what works for us is a lot of fun.
Edelaen:

Maybe after some time you will come to something specific in your spiritual needs, maybe it's not a time now.
You are very talented seer, dear.
Physical tools doesn't change your inner truth.
Just go on, study if you want, and everything is gonna be niiiiccceee. <3

This is wise advice. Thank you! I should remember that witchcraft is about learning how your inner power works and how to harness it, more than anything external.

@CycloneKira: Ooh, thanks. I should get me some of those eyes.

@Nephila: Driving is a super useful skill to have! It's great that you're learning it.
I do have a license but I'm bad at parking and bad at dealing with traffic. I need to practice.

@CycloneKira: Yeah the only person who drives themselves in my family is my father. We're not really using public transport now that Covid is ongoing, but otherwise, I agree- that's been my experience too. (We live in the same city.)

@dragoness129: You've probably not felt the need to, and I'm the same! Nothing has pushed me to learn properly because I can manage without it. I also dislike it- I feel much more motion-sick the times I tried driving.
