@Wildfire: Sure!
It's not super different. But it's a bit..simplier.
My normal drawings look like this
[Xx]
I add a ton of details to the hair.

So the newer style there is less lines for the hair so when i color it, it won't be as confusing if that makes sense?

This is the freebie sketch.
I'm still fixing her anatomy tho i am happy i managed to break down the anatomy pretty quickly.

that reminds me, i need to set up my goddamn commissions again, but doing so runs the risk of getting yet another email spammed and having to shunt my paypal over to another email. orz
pain in the ass.

@MoodyB: Cute! And yes, that makes sense - there are a lot of guidelines for the hair in that first version. I can completely see getting lost in that during coloring. The second is a bit simpler... easier to follow... and it's not like you can't add more detail as you go along, if that's what you want to do. :3 Sometimes it can seem like such a simple thing, making a change like that, but it makes all the difference (to you) in the world. :3

@Pelontrix: Hello. The likelihood of getting an email address added to a spam site sucks... where you're posting for commissions probably makes a difference in that, though. What kind of art do you do?

Good Morning.
Last week was a long one. So I'm hoping today starts a better new week.

god, hopefully.
i have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, mostly dealing with the mental health nurse. pain in the ass, but necessary.

@Pelontrix: I hope it's a smooth appointment for you tomorrow.
I know they can be a bit rattling.

yeah. doesn't really help that i have a meeting with the DWP over the phone to discuss whether or not i'm capable for work due to heavy depression + undiagnosed shit, and that meeting is a day after the appointment at the doc's.

i know i've got some weird depersonalization shit and i suspect i might have adhd, but the family reckons it's autism.

depersonalization could go both ways, hand in hand with adhd & depression. Or with autism.
Hopefully, you get some answers tomorrow.

doubt it, i'll probably have to get referred to a specialist, which is what was supposed to happen with the previous mental health nurse, but she ended up quitting at some point.

on the plus side, i can get more of my meds bc they're both on a repeating prescription.

@Pelontrix: gotcha. It sounds like you're in the middle of sorting out whatever issues you have going on - that's good, and I hope your appointments go well for you and you get the information you need :3

@Koah: Good morning. I hope you have a better week this week too! <3

@Wildfire: god, i hope so.
if i don't react to adhd meds, then it's probably autism. or i need different meds.

temperatures are finally warmer around here.
I'm feeling less stressed now that I'm not hearing my heater kick on and off. Didn't realize how much that felt like a cheese grater against my brain last week during those -4*f to 25*f temps.

@Pelontrix: from what I understand there's a lot of trial and error involved with any and all those kinds of diagnoses... but if you're not feeling quite right, it's an important process to go through.

@Koah: lol. Yeah, I understand that feeling but your imagery is amusing! I'm glad the heater isn't still stressing you out!
Temps and humidity are rising here too... Along with the pollen counts /dead/. We are officially in spring- you can feel it in the air.

@Wildfire: it's also trial and error with medications. i got lucky that on my first try, zoloft decided to actually work for me, lol.
citalopram gave me the urge to bounce my leg 24/7.

@Koah: do you have misophonia related to the noise of your heater kicking on and off?
Report

Voltie Posted 3 years ago ( 2022/02/28 19:13:03 )
@Pelontrix: yes, that's part of what I meant in terms of the process taking time - it's a combination of medicines as well as diagnoses and some medicines are intense! I'm glad you quickly found something that works for you!

@Wildfire: oh no! Your poor sinuses. But I'm glad you're headed into spring. You can focus on your garden without worrying about random frosty nights.

@Pelontrix: I'm sensitive to sound. I've learned to work with it. I had to look up misophonia, it's an accurate description of how I feel about sound. When I can't handle all the noise, I've learned to focus on one thing. It was hard to do at first, but now it's a natural response, especially in coffee shops or busy spaces of any kind.
my heater/ac for my house is loud and I also associate it with losing money. XD

@Wildfire: yeah. the citalopram gave me a lot of energy, felt a lot like what caffeine's been described as.
the zoloft actually makes me really fuckin sleepy, haha.

@Koah: wheezes in 'CALLED IT!'
you might wanna look into noise-cancelling headphones, since those help to block out noise.
personally, if there's background noise, i literally will not be able to hear what's being said to me. iirc it's a specific kind of hearing loss relating to the synapses in the ears.

please ping me for the love of god.

@Koah: the thing about gardening in spring though? It's outside... WITH all the pollen! XD But yes, the chance of frost is less than usual (and it's never very high here to begin with!)

@Pelontrix: so choice of wired or sleepy...
