She was silent for a moment before meeting his gaze.

"All right, I'm going to outline a few things." She started, "And it may be a lot." She gave him a couple of seconds to process all that was said before she continued.

"I will need to meet the child, as you do not have a sample of her mana." She held a hand up so he didn't say anythign to interrupt.

"I will need a sample in order to update the records, have her in them and registered as a mage. And it will need to be updated after her mana matures as well, much like I had needed to do with you and your sister." She paused a moment before consider how to say the rest.

"You, though, will need to worry about character references. I would love to act as on, as I know you and your sister, but I can't due to my position." She then told him. "I will worry about the paperwork and the like, but you will need to do the stuff I cannot do. If I did, then there would be trouble befalling all in volved and chances are it wouldn't go through."

"Not at the moment." She told him honestly.

"It's a matter of you just preparing for this with what I've told you. If I learn anything else that you should know, I'll pass the information along." She addwed after a moment or two.

"But it's something that you will have to take day by day."

She just nodded.

"Of course."\ She said simply.

"We can do that when it's coming up for the custody hearing." She commented.

"Anyhow. If there's nothing else, you don't need to hang around." She added after a moment or two. She wasn't trying to shoo him off, but there really was no reason for him to be there if there wasn't anything else.

He was met with silence for a few minutes before he stepped to the kitchen and took a look. When he did, he saw Madison, standing on a stepstool, doing the dishes that were left over from dinner the night before.

"Hi" She said as she turned on the stool to face him.

". . . . am... am I going to have to leave?" She asked, her voice almost hesitant.

"She's outside. Backyard." Madison answered.

"Said she was going out there to call someone." She added before pausing.

"Not... sure what style of call."

Madison just shrugged.

"I want to be useful." was all she said in response, before he left.

When he stepped outside, he found his sister just finishing up a phonecall. When she noticed him, she waved and held up a finger to say 'give me a moment.'.

"Hey, how'd it go?" Aimee asked after she finished the call and set her phone down.

"Myself and Vincent, would likely be good ones." Aimee commented.

"I'll also contact Yuri to act as a reference, as he's a bloody Angel." She added with a light laugh.

"Beyond that, I'm not entirely sure who would be the best .... I mean, your clientel could help, possibly? I know you have one or two constants." She added before shrugging.

"I'm sure Vincent and Yuri would be enough though, if I'm to be perfectly honest.... unless they reject Vincent as he's Hollie's brother..."

"Oh, no one important. It was just relating to one of the students in one of my classes." Aimee answered before pausing.

"I'll give Yuri a call after I get home." She then said. "Did Hollie say anything about when?" It wasn't that it would make much a difference here or there, she just knew that it would help to know it.

"Regardless, at least things went... well... all right. Nothing major in either direction occurred, and that's a relief."

Aimee didn't say anything for a few seconds before getting to her feet and just wrapping her arms around her brother.

"It doesn't sound stupid." She told him honestly as she just held him close.

"I completely understand, as well. I would hate to see her go somewhere else, not when I think this is the perfect place for her to be." Although, it does mean that possibly things may need to change around here, to accomodatefor a child, properly."[/b] She added.

"Oh, of course." Aimee said with a smile as she stepped back from him.

"That's something to tackle later. For now, I need to head off, I have class in an hour andI need to get ready for it." She told him.

"I may be home late, but I am also going to contact Yuri before I come home if I will be late." She added. "So don't be surprised if he shows up out of the blue."

"All right?"
