Aimee, who was sitting just behind and to the side of Yuri, coughed as she got a couple of feathers smacking her in the face.

"Hey! Careful!" She exclaimed, batting his feathers away, which, of course, got a chuckle out of Madison.

". . . those wings are pretty solid." The brunette muttered.

"And yes. These things are real. I've been smacked by them enough." She added with a chuckle. Madison nodded.

". . . ok then." was all the child said, looking at the wings a bit curiously. She hadn't seen an angel before.

What surprised Aimee, was the fact that the child wasn't asking anything regarding what he was, or if she actually knew, why her parents were allowed to do as they did on a cosmic scale.

Madison was silent for a moment, not entirely sure what to ask, or if she should ask anything that would cross her mind.

". . . If you don't want to ask, it's ok." Aimee then said after a couple of seconds.

"Don't feel like you have to have a question or two." She added. Madison just looked to the side.

"I... don't have anything to ask for the moment..." She said, her voice almost hesitant, super hesitant at that.

Madison just nodded.

"If you want to leave, Madison, go ahead." Aimee said kindly before looking back to Uriel.

"Oh, right. Lex wants to take her in properly, legallt... but will need character references." She told him.

"Was wondering if you'd act as one."

'Don't ask me, I have no idea." Aimee told him honestly.

"You'll need to talk to my brother regarding details of that varietty." She then said.

"But it is good to know that you're willing to help." She added with a soft smile.

"Thank you."

"I know." MAdison commented.

"I... I only got here yesterday, and I can already feel the difference." She added.

"Oh?" Aimee asked.

"Yeah... not needing to suppress and subdue it... it's... it's nice.' Madison stated.

Madison nodded, but didn't say anything.

"Madison, if you don't want to hang around, you can go back to whatever you were doing." Aimee said with a soft smile. The child just nodded again before leaving.

". .. she's had a rough start, as far as we know." The brunette commented.

"But she's extremely powerful, and her mana hasn't even matured yet." She added.

"I'm... actually a bit scared of how that will go."

"Oh most likely." Aimee agreed.

"We may need to call on you afterward as well." She then said. "As it may take Lex and I to dangerous levels to ensure her survival." She added. That wasn't something that would be surprising if it did happen though, if anything it would be expected,s he was sure.

"Anyhow, I'm going to head to bed for a bit. Could you let Lex know what happened, please?" She asked as she carefully got to her feet. It wasn't hard to tell that she was still very drained. Mana took time to replenish.

Aimee just laid her head against him as she pulled her in.

". .. sure..." She said quietly.

"That might be smarter anyway." She added.

"Let's go. Y'know, before I die." She finished with, jokingly.

"You gotta take care of Maddy while I'm half dead in bed." Aimee responded.

"So get your ass up, Lex." She added before Uriel took her to her bedroom and laid her down.

"Thanks, by the way." She then said.

"Chances are he'll come inquire as to what the hell happened."

"Normally, no." Aimee responded.

"When I have a couple moronic arcane mages bring in something that drains mana from anyone OTHER than arcane, yeah." She added, some bitterness to her voice.

"Yuri already took care of it, so don't worry, but yeah. I'll be fine, just gotta wait for my mana to replenish." She continued, pausing a moment.

"Think you can manage without me for a couple hours?"
