@FUZZY: It's one of my favourites too ♥ Thank you for letting me make the post ^^
I hope your cough is getting better, I miss posting with you!

@Koah: Parents are SO hard to shop for. I ended up kinda giving up on dad and just ordering him a couple of DVDs xD Mom's getting some photo prints, and then I'm gonna write her a card and let her know I'll pay for her to get them framed.
My dad's exactly the same way, he just buys what he wants.

We've got our tree up and a wreath on the door, but that's about it for holiday prep. I guess dad does have the turkey thawing for Sunday, but that's about it. I'm still waiting for gifts to arrive and I think I get to pick up the photo prints tomorrow, so I've still got wrapping to do.

Why are the holidays so stressful as adults?

@Anarchist Beauty: Anaaaa!! I've missed you ♥
I'm sorry the holidays are a bummer for you, but I totally get it, the magic is kinda gone from when we were kids >_<

L = Labradorite! One of my absolute favourites ♥
It is a calcium-enriched feldspar which can display an iridescent effect

And one more, because I LOVE THIS STONE SO MUCH

It's nice to dream that I could change my mind
Deep down, I know I will never let go

It might be time to change my paradigm
If only I can let go of the wheel

@Koah: Woo, days off are ALWYAS good. I'd honestly rather deal with home stress than work stress xD
I don't have kids, I'm just stressing about what to get for my dad. He's impossible to buy for cause he just goes out and gets stuff when he wants it

Usually both my parents are hard to shop for, but I have a really good idea for my mom this year. I just have to act on it and not leave it too late

macsen191:
I often wake up with a song in my head... it's like my brain goes through a playlist at night, this morning I had Peter Gabriel's Solisbury Hill rattling around.

Oooh, that's a good song! I don't mind having that one rattling around in my head at all!

Recently for me it's been bits and pieces of the soundtrack to Subspace Rhapsody, the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds musical episode! xD

I = Iolite

Iolite gemstone is the gem-quality variety of the mineral cordierite. In shifting shades of violet & blue, it carries the spirit of journey & illumination.

Strongly pleochroic iolite has been incorrectly called “water sapphire,” as it can display a blue to violet hue in one direction and pale yellow to colorless in another.

This link had some cool info: GIA.edu Iolite Description
This one too, and there's a gallery

This was a tricky one, I realized I couldn't think of an "I" minerals or rocks off the top of my head, and I wasn't sure if you're counting elements (so I didn't wanna go for Iodine or Indium)

I just learned that ice is actually considered to be a mineral because it's a "naturally occurring, crystalline, inorganic solid with an ordered structure"

Also, ooh, Hiddenite sounds like a neat one, I'll have to go look it up! (also kinda glad to hear one other than "Hematite"!)
