She smiled a little and moved to the kitchen to help her.
After a few weeks of spending most of her time reading in the library while Jane worked, she had gone through quite a few different series. She had found a few that she adored, some that she liked, and others that she would probably read again given the opportunity. Artemis had also learned a good bit about Venice, and opened up a little more to Jane.
She had noticed, however, someone that liked to be in the library as much as she did. At first it didn't bother her, but she started to feel eyes on the back of her head when she wasn't looking. Each time she'd attempt to find the source would be met with nothing.. so she hadn't said anything. She left it alone for now, hoping she wouldn't have to defend herself or the Doctor..

He smiled widely and nodded, paying for the little plant. “She will adore it.”

“She loves plants. She has her own room dedicated to them.” He said warmly.

“I would kind of like that..” she said shyly. She wanted to finish the Harry Potter series.. and maybe find something else..

He watched her curiously before making sure she was still looking at other things and getting the little tree she had looked at. It might look cute in her room? He paid for it and thanked the worker before moving to where she was.

He watched her closely, wanting to get her whatever gift she settled on, even if she didn’t ask him for it. “Find anything?”
