She squirmed shyly and then turned her filter off. “Thank you..”

He smiled gently, “Later perhaps.” He wondered how much Jack had told her about anything. He tried not to get attached to his companions anymore but that was hard.

She squirmed again, eating some pancakes and shyly glancing at all of the windows. She had indeed shut them. “Ok.. but if it storms, I’d like the curtains open.. is that ok?” She asked shyly. She loved thunderstorms..

“I’ve a lot on my mind. I’m sorry I missed the first opportunity.” He replied gently, watching her instead of everything else around them.

She looked up and went redder, “Oh- Thank you.” She said shyly, smiling softly. “So- you aren’t.. it doesn’t bother you..?”

He tilted his head, staring at her as she looked around. “You offered your hand to me.” He said gently, even though he had missed the cue the first time.

She went a little red and squirmed, looking up at her after taking another bite. “Yeah.. you’re right- I mean I know about the different foods- but I.. haven’t tried any of them, except pizza.. and now this.” She said softly. “I’m use to just eating whatever I can get ahold of for the day..” she added in very quietly.

“Would you like to get a bite to eat and then wait for the festival to start?” He asked gently, watching her. Did he read that wrong? Did she not want him holding her hand?

She sat down shyly, looking at the pancakes curiously. They looked tasty. She put a bit of syrup on them and tried them out. “Oh yum....” she said softly, blushing.

He watched her hand fall and blinked a few times, oh oops. Missed his cue. He hesitated, not sure he wanted to do that again, but.. she probably just wanted a bit of comfort from the fact he left. He gently grabbed one of her hands and led her down a street of venders.

“Pancakes..?” She said quietly, looking at the food. “It looks yummy..” she said softly, “I am sorry... about the curtains...”

He smiled warmly at her, hands casually in his pockets as he led her around. “Looks like the cherry blossom festival will be happening soon.”

She watched her head out, tilting her head softly. Not what she expected but.. she was glad she didn’t ruin the hiding. With a soft sigh, she dried off and finished getting ready for the day. She put her filter on, turned it on anyway and timidly walked out to the kitchen.

She blinked a few times, going red and nodding. “Okay.. I’ll answer best I can.”
