Azazel continued to look around, before looking right at her.

"We're surrounded." he said.

"By... some VERY powerful mana." he told her further.

"...which can only mean one thing." he went on, before pausing a moment.

"This building's under lockdown." he said.

"Complete and utter lockdown."

Meanwhile, in the basement, Azazel and Aedan were sitting in one of the special dorms. It was special in the sense that it was designed as a mini-apartment for people that needed temporary lodgings. In this case, Azazel and Aedan's home was being repaired, as a pipe had ended up rupturing earlier that week.

Azazel, who had been watching some television, had jumped to a standing position, and was looking around.

"Oh, holy heaven, hell, and everything else." he muttered.

"Ohhhhhh boy, oh boy, oh boy..." he repeated to himself.

"This... does NOT bode well..."

"...........very well." Hal responded.

"I have no idea what you are referring to, but... I trust your judgement." he told her.

Meanwhile, the ones she was talking to nodded in response.

"Got it." they replied in unison.

"Check in every hour." another said.

"Cover EVERY inch of this building." another commented.

"And if one of us finds something, we notify the others IMMEDIATELY." they added.

Hal was silent, and was taken aback by what she said and what she did.

"....I see." he replied.

"Very well." he commented.

"I cannot question your actions or your decision." he told her.

Meanwhile, in an undisclosed location somewhere, 4 individuals came together.

"You felt that?" one asked.

"We're being summoned." another replied, before they looked to one of the females.

"You got the location?" the first one asked.

"I do." she said.

The 4 of them then disappeared from where they were, and appeared at the Unit. They stepped up towards Jake, and one of them showed their badge.

"We're here to clean up a mess." was all he said.

"....." Jake was silent, before nodding, and allowing them entry. The 4 of them then stepped further into the building, before one of them tapped their foot on the floor, sending out a 'message'.

That 'message' was to Hollie, and it stated: "We are here."

Hal looked like he was going through some documents on his table when she came in and asked her question.

"....." he was silent for a moment when she asked her question.

Hollie could see the confusion in his eyes, but before she could say anything, he asked a question.

It was a question she did NOT want to hear.

And it was a question that truly showed the severity of their situation.

"...on what?" he asked her.

Hal watched her go, before sighing to himself.

"Hm." he mumbled, getting up and leaving the office to get some water.

"Mors aranea..." he said to himself.

"That's definitely rare and unusual." he said further, unaware someone was listening to him from a hiding place.

"..." they were silent for a moment, before they revealed themselves to be Illias. The man then quickly made his way to his dorm, and went to his book.

"And so... Hal Sharp decided that such a thing wasn't worth looking into, and as long as Anya survived and recovered, it was fine." he wrote.

About a minute after that, as Hal got a bottle of water from the cafeteria, he stopped, and sighed.

"I'm sure it was an accident... I think it's in some high-grade commercial insecticide." he reasoned, shaking his head.

"I need to keep my mind on my current issues." he sighed, before leaving the cafeteria.

"I admit that is very suspect." Sharp replied.

"I'll look into it." he told her.

"For now, concern yourself with saying Anya's life." he said further.

"Seriously, just concern yourself with making sure she survives, leave the rest to me." he assured the medic.

"I take things like this VERY seriously, and I do not like it when one of my employees is harmed like this, let alone someone I consider a friend." he continued.

"With those, though, she'll be a little more stable, and her immune system will be boosted, allowing her to help you fight off the poison." he finished.

Hal froze when he heard that.

"...excuse me?" he asked.

"No." he said.

"I won't accept that." he told her.

He then grabbed a piece of paper, and scribbled some things on it, before handing it to her.

"Get the lab to either make you these things, or procure them in some way." he said.

"At the very least, they should help stabilize her." he reasoned.

"I DON'T want to lose her to something like that."

Angela was waiting for about 5 minutes or so, before she saw the person leave Sharp's office. When the door was open, Sharp noticed that Angela was there, and seemed to be waiting for him.

He got up from his desk, and made his way to the doorway.

"Angela." he greeted her.

"It's rare to see you here." he commented.

"And it's usually something serious." he went on, before sighing.

"Come on in." he told her, turning back to his desk.

"Close the door behind you."

Jake shook his head.

"I told Angela everything." he told them.

"It started as an upset stomach, and then the rash started to develop." he said.

"Beyond that, I... just don't know." he admitted.

"Just please... help her." he told them.

"I don't know if this is life-threatening, but it's definitely serious."

"I'll get her outside." Jake responded.

With that, he made sure everything was paid for, and grabbed their food. He allowed Anya to use him for balance, as they slowly made their way outside.

"The medical emergency room team will be here." he told her.

"You'll be at the Unit in no time." he assured her further.

Jake's eyes widened when he saw the rash spreading.

"Ohhhhhh no..." he muttered.

He then took out his cell phone, and dialled the number to reach Angela in an emergency.

"Angela, help." he said when she answered.

He described where they were, and what was happening to Anya.

"Send the emergency medical team. NOW. She needs to get to the Unit's medical wing." he told her, the urgency in his tone more than evident.

Hal just growled to himself, before getting up and marching out of the office.

"Right." he said.

"Time for some serious investigating, and some very unpopular decisions." he muttered to himself.

Illias sat in private, the tome in front of him, the pen in his hand.

And he looked quite satisfied with himself. Almost unnaturally so.

"And so Kiah forgot all about the conversation with Illias... and discarded the pen as unimportant." he finished saying as he wrote.

-A few days later-

Illias seemed... different. His satisfaction looked like outright unnatural happiness... until something came to his mind suddenly, and he looked angry.

"...that black widow..." he growled.

"I've seen how she looks at Kiah..." he said, before he made his way to the book, and seemed to instinctively put pen to paper.

"Hollie, do whatever it is you need to do to find that book." Hal responded.

"You have complete and utter authority to use whatever resources you have at your disposal to find it." he told her.

"Raze this building to the ground if you have to." he went on.

"I take full responsibility for this, and all the consequences that will befall me, regardless of how this turns out." he continued, before shaking his head.

"Now, if you'll excuse me." he then said, getting up from his desk.

"I have lockers and dorms to search and comb."
