"No. She wouldn't be." Zeke agreed as they entered the medical wing.

He took her to a cot and laid her down, before telling the medical staff what had happened.

"Make sure she stays in bed and does NOT try to leave." he told her.

"She NEEDS to recover."

"He does." Zeke confirmed.

"Well... specifically, Lindsay and Ash." he said.

"Lindsay keeps dying and coming back, and Ash survives encounters that would kill anyone else." he went on.

"So he's developed a bit of a nerve in regards to your family line." he continued.

"But I won't be saying anything." he assured her.

"I'd never hear the end of it from my Mother if I did."

"Well, let's see..." Zeke muttered.

"Vincent would be irate... Hollie wouldn't be thrilled... your sister would be less than pleased... your Mother would more than likely show lycan rage carved deep into her DNA..." he listed off.

"No. He wouldn't." he confirmed.

"So, was that your first time meeting Gregory?" he asked her.

"Which one could call a miracle in and of itself." Zeke told her.

"But yes, not surprising you feel so bad." he said, as he started to carry her to the medical wing.

"That mana was really doing a number on you." he went on.

"Admittedly, I'm not even sure what it was doing, but your organs were shutting down, and doing it FAST." he told her further.

"You probably had less than a minute."

Zeke was quiet for a moment, before sighing quietly.

"Yeah, sure." he replied.

He then caused the sword to dissipate, before lifting Kiah easily up in his arms.

"Come on." he said.

"YOU need to get to the med wing." he told her.

"Yes, I'm Gregory." the figure responded, as a sword materialized in Zeke's hand, and he slammed the blade down into the floor, causing Kiah's body and spirit to be surrounded by a rune of light, which rose up into a barrier-like pillar around her... though it was still translucent.

"The healing properties of my mana aren't nearly as potent as your standard angel, but I can at least tether your spirit and soul to your body while I DO heal you." Zeke commented.

"Just HAD to interfere, didn't you?" Gregory asked him.

"I'm a Nephilim. My existence itself can be seen as problematic and bothersome, so it only makes sense I interfere and get in the way." Zeke responded as he got to work.

"....fair point." Gregory agreed with a shrug.

"Seems you Fyranes are just destined to cheat me." he told Kiah.

"You protected against every possible happenstance." the figure responded.

"....except for managing to hit a pocket of gas-like mana in the statue with a spark, causing a violent expulsion of it, through a crack, right into your face." he explained.

"Suffice to say, the medical team won't be able to treat you in time." he told her, before Zeke suddenly rushed into the room.

"But -I- CAN!" he declared.

".....oh. Of COURSE." the cloaked figure growled.

Zeke was silent for a split-second, before rising to his feet.

"Then let's go." he said.

"Where is she?" he asked.

"NOW." he said further.

"Lab." was all Aedan responded with, before everyone in the cafeteria felt a massive gust of wind... followed by a small vacuum in the room.

Zeke was gone.

Meanwhile, a cloaked figure stood over Kiah, examining her, and the spirit that had risen from the body, but was still tethered to it... for now.

"You don't have long." he told her.

"50 seconds. A minute, tops."

"So, essentially, you need to gather more info, before you'll know whether or not I'LL need more info." Sharp responded.

"Lovely." he said.

"Well, go to it." he told her.

"Time is probably precious, so I won't hold you back any longer." he reasoned.

"And let me know if you need anything, assuming things don't get out of hand." he then muttered further.

"This BETTER not end with Kiah dead." he then warned her.

"I've just gained Vincent Remmington's trust and respect... that would cause him to be out for my blood."

Sharp was silent for a moment.

"...there was a statue IN the Unit?" he asked.

"That... is alarming." he said.

"The protections and barriers we have should be nigh-impenetrable." he commented further.

"Yes... yes, this DOES bear further study." he agreed.

"Do you need any special protection or security for when you attempt to study this... entity?" he asked her.

Jake looked back at the curious female following them, and sighed.

"She's so... innocent." he mumbled.

"It's... infuriating, but at the same time... endearing, and worthy of protection." he said further, his tone making him sound more like a father than anything else.

Meanwhile, Aedan made her way to Sharp's office, where he had just finished meeting with something.

"Hello again, Aedan." he greeted her when she stepped into the office.

"Something urgent, I assume?" he asked.

Jake nodded when Kiah said what she did.

"Got it." he responded, before approaching, and lifting up the statue, with seemingly little trouble.

"Lizardfolk strength." he said.

"We're stronger than your average human, but it's nothing super amazing." he commented.

"It's best if we get this done quickly. I DO have a limit to how long I can keep this up." he then warned them.

"..........." Jake was silent, and instinctively moved in such a way that he would be protecting Peyton, if something were to happen.

"I see." he replied.

"Very well..." he muttered.

"It seems you two know what you're doing, so... I'll defer to you." he told them.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked.

"Or is that limited to just staying out of the way?"

Jake was silent as Aedan and Kiah said what they said, and did what they did.

"Well, seems I'm out of the loop." he muttered. "But at least I wasn't being paranoid in assuming it was dangerous." he reasoned.

"Mind filling me in on what's up?" he asked Kiah.

"And can you explain why this thing smells as horrid and stagnant as it does?" he asked further.

"Seriously, it's like an assault on my sense of smell."
