The guard had just been about to dart off, but stopped when he heard the conversation.

"Excuse me?" he asked.

"I'm sorry, but I'll need to ask you to please refrain from approaching this bogey." he said.

"We have no idea what this is, or what it's capable of." he told her.

"...though the description is somehow familiar..." he then muttered, before shaking his head.

"Regardless, this could be a very serious and dangerous situation."

Jake took a couple of steps closer to the statue, his tongue still flicking out and in like mad.

"It reeks of death." he told her.

"It's absolutely saturated in the stench of death, both fresh and stagnant." he went on.

Not taking his eyes off the statue, he took his walkie-talkie communicator out, and brought it to his mouth.

"We have a U-B situation in the cafeteria." he said into the device, U-B meaning 'Unknown Bogey'. "Strange angel-like statue. Reeks of death, was NOT here earlier." he explained further.

What he didn't know, was that there had been another security guard speaking with Kiah and Aedan at the time... and his message came through the communicator loud and clear for all of them to hear.

As she checked the statue over, another person joined her in the cafeteria.

It was Jake, the security guard, in one of the rare instances he was at the Unit, but away from the security desk.

As soon as he stepped inside, he froze.

He then looked around, his tongue darting in and out of his mouth at an alarmingly fast rate.

"....what the...?" he muttered.

"Something doesn't smell... right...?" he said further, before looking over to the female and the statue.

"Get away from that thing!" he called to her.

"...I'm on my way." Azazel responded.

With that, they ended their call, and Azazel used his powers to teleport himself to the Remmington manor... but found that he appeared just at the front door.

"...hella strong barriers." he muttered.

He then stepped up to the doorbell, and rang it.

"Vincent's? You mean Vincent Remmington?" Azazel asked in response.

"Yeah." Aedan responded.

"I should be able to, yeah." Azazel told her.

"Why?" he asked.

"There something going on that needs ME, specifically?"

"Is nobody in my home safe?" Vincent then asked.

"I'm not sure if I have the brute strength or the mana to crush it." he told her.

"That being said, I DO possess the ability to stare for a while." he went on.

"Do you happen to know anyone that CAN smash the statue, and can come here soon?" he asked further.

"Or do I need to somehow warn everyone else in my home while not taking my eyes off of this thing?"

Vincent's eyes widened for a moment when he saw the statue.

"..........." he had no idea what to say here, so he merely locked his eyes on the statue, and brought the phone to his ear.

"Aedan." he said.

"Suppose I am standing but an inch away from a statue that was not behind me moments ago." he told her.

"Any advice on where to go from there?" he asked.

"..........." Vincent was silent for a moment again.

"I see." he said.

"Thank you for the info." he told her.

"Excuse me a moment." he then quickly said.

Then, no sooner had he finished the statement, did he whirl around to completely face the other way.

He was trying not to be paranoid, but he had NO idea what to expect as he turned.

"......" Vincent was silent as he heard the warning.

"A... statue I do not recognize." he said.

"I see." he said further.

"I may need some clarification, and I might need it NOW." he told her.

"What kind of statues are we talking about?" he asked her.

"Anything specific, such as... perhaps... an angelic figure?" he asked further.

"............" Vincent was silent as he witnessed the statue, before his cell phone rang.

He made his way back into the study, grabbing the phone.

He looked at the caller ID, before raising an eyebrow and shrugging. He hit the button to accept the call, and brought the device to his ear.

"This is Remmington." he said.

"Speak your piece."

Vincent looked at the books on his desk, and pushed them to the side.

"Yes." he said.

"You're right." he agreed.

"They need a close friend to talk to... now, more than anytime else." he reasoned.

"I'll go to them immediately." he told her.

"Please do let me know if you learn anything more on this."

Again, Vincent was silent, before sighing.

"...well, closure is very important." he said.

"Not knowing what's happened to a loved one is... unbearable." he lamented quietly.

"But I suppose this opens up a new investigation." he went on.

"We need to find out what's going on." he told her.

"...and how many more of these statues there are, assuming there ARE more."

Vincent just sighed.

"Well... if anyone can do it, it's Sharp and his team." he said.

"Kiah works for them, after all. It should be obvious." he added with a small smirk... before it faded slightly.

"...this probably means that Kyle's dead, though..." he said quietly.

"Have you told either of the LeBlanc's yet?" he asked her.

"Or... have they been told, I should say?" he then clarified.

".........." Vincent had a moment of prolonged silence as he heard this.

"Excuse me?" he asked.

"His blood... in a statue." he repeated.

He then leaned forward, leaning on his elbows and pinching the bridge of his nose.

"That... admittedly, sounds a bit far-fetched, but... strange things happen all the time in this world." he went on.

"Has anyone found out what this MEANS yet?" he then asked her.
