"I do." Vincent responded.

"Cass specifically referred to the person looking for an apartment as 'AJ'." he told her.

"And the only 'AJ' we know is your son. Ash Joseph Fyrane." he went on.

"So... yes. I know it sounds hard to believe... because it is... but it's your son looking for a place to live. Potentially YOUR place." he finished.

"Well... Cass happens to know someone looking." he told her.

"Someone that specifically requested 2 bedrooms, which I know your basement can accommodate." he said further.

"I also know that... well... you're quite selective on whom you'll let in your home in the first place, let alone LIVE in it." he then went on.

"...and I'm beating around the bush." he mumbled.

"It's Ash."

Vincent sniffed the air, and smiled warmly.

"They smell divine." he told her.

He then made his way to the brownies, and tried one, before looking at her.

"You'd never guess their diabetic safe." he commented. "You're quite talented." he complimented her further.

"Regardless, I've come to you to ask about your basement." he told her. "Are you still looking to rent it out to a boarder?" he asked.

Vincent made sure he was wearing fresh clothing, and sighed when he was ready to go.

"We'll see how she takes this." he said.

He then disappeared in a small whirlwind, appearing in front of a large and impressive manor.

"...here we go." he mumbled.

He made his way to the front door, and knocked loudly.

"It IS serious." Vincent responded. "However, I HIGHLY doubt this will give you a panic attack. This isn't bad news." he then assured her.

"And... brownies?" he asked.

"Well. That's ONE of the magic words." he chuckled.

"I'll be there in a few minutes." he said further.

Vincent looked at his phone, and sighed.

"Right." he said.

"Suppose I should make the call." he muttered.

"This could either turn out really well, or very poorly." he then said further, before dialling the number of the woman in question, and waiting for her to answer.

"It's Vincent." he said when she finally answered.

"May I come over? There's something I wish to discuss with you."

I see. Very well. I will check to see if she's still looking to rent out the basement, and see how many rooms are there. she then received in the next text.

I'll text you with what I find out. she was then sent.

....odds are it'll be later today. a third one read.

Anything else you want me to ask or find out? the person on the other end then asked her.

After a few seconds, she received another response.

AJ? it asked, before there was another one.

Yes, she's still looking for someone to put up in her basement. the following one read.

You thinking AJ might move in with her? the third one asked her.

Time passed, and after only about 3 minutes or so, her phone chimed, indicating she had a text. She could guess who it was from, and what it pertained to.

Sure enough, it was about the one she had sent earlier.

Rowena Fyrane? Yes, I am. she received in the response.

Why? the following text asked.

"Thanks." Ash responded.

"I'll let you know when I get things sorted out and can go back to hunts." he told her.

He didn't want anyone to know he was considering what he was considering. He didn't want anyone knowing until things were set, and it was for sure.

"For now, I'm outta here." he said.

"Thanks, Cass." he finished, before heading out of her office.

"Well, mostly so I can focus more of my attention on moving." Ash responded.

"I'd like to get into a new place ASAP." he told her.

"Like... and I mean that, literally." he said. "I cannot stress that. If you were to come to me and say there was a place ready for me to move into tomorrow, I'd do it." he continued.

"Beyond that, I have some personal things to do." he then said further.

"As in, my personal life, outside the guild. I need to... evaluate and reorganize some priorities, one could say."

"Roommates?" Ash asked.

"Hmmm." he mumbled.

"I'm not... entirely opposed to roommates, but it depends on who they are." he told her.

"But I'll need 2 bedrooms." he then said.

"See, that's the key. There's going to need to be 2 bedrooms for me to use." he repeated.

"Other than that... I don't see why not."

"Area isn't a huge deal." Ash told her.

"I mean, I can get to the guild from anywhere, but I like the area I live in now." he went on.

"I guess one that's not too busy. A more calm area." he said with a shrug.

"Really, I'm looking for something with at least 2 bedrooms." he then informed her. "If there's more than 2, then that's okay, but I need 2, at least." he stressed.

"So, yeah, I won't be available to go out on hunts, but I can still do paperwork and stuff."

Ash was silent when he heard that.

"...look, I'm sorry about that." he apologized.

"I've already said that a million times." he told her. "It didn't happen as I wanted it to, obviously." he mumbled, scratching the back of his head.

"But... uh... well... yeah, can I have some time off from going on hunts?" he asked.

"I need to find a new place to live." he told her.

"A bigger place."
