On my way. was the response she received.

Sure enough, about a minute later, Ash showed up.

Kelly offered him some, and when he tried it, his eyes widened.

"Well now!" he said.

"This is certainly rich." he commented.

"Well done, Luke."

Luke listened to what she said, before trying it, himself.

"...hm!" he exclaimed light, before swallowing.

"Indeed." he said.

"I should remember this." he commented.

"Probably the best dessert I've made to date." he went on.

"I should share this with Mom, Dad, and Lily." he continued, before thinking a moment.

"Should you Dad try this?" he asked her.

Luke nodded slowly, before grabbing another plate, as well as the utensils they'd need.

"Forgot these..." he admitted sheepishly.

"Right, anyhoo." he said further, as Kelly finished her portion. Once he had his own, they sat down at the table.

"...here's hoping this worked." he muttered.

"Admittedly, I did this on a whim."

Luke just shrugged.

"Maybe. I have no idea." he said.

"I also made sure I did the dishes as well." he then added.

With that, he grabbed the bowl and brought it over towards her, setting it down on the table. He also grabbed a big spoon, and a plate for her.

"Dig in." he said.

"And let me know how it is, and if it satisfies that 'rich' craving you've been having."

Luke smiled a nodded.

"Right." he said.

"You might have been joking when you said 'all three' when I asked that question earlier, but then you said to 'surprise you'." he told her.

"So I decided to take your first statement seriously." he said, revealing a large bowl filled with something that looked delectable.

"I combined elements of Tiramisu, Chocolate-Peanut Butter Brownies, and Chocolate-Cookie Crunch Trifle." he said further.

"I made the brownies, then chilled them quickly." he explained. "While I was doing that, I let ladyfingers soak in some expresso, so they'd be nice and flavourful." he continued. "I also made some thickened whipped cream, and then everything was ready." he went on.

"I lined the bowl with the ladyfingers, then layered the brownies and whipped cream until the bowl was full. Then I drizzled some caramel sauce over the top." he then finished.

"Glad to hear it!" Luke called back.

Soon, Kelly heard the noise of Luke moving around in the kitchen, and putting things together, as the clangs and clunks of the kitchen tools were heard.

After about 35 minutes, the unmistakable scent of chocolate started to fill the air. However, the clanging and shuffling continued, meaning that he wasn't done yet.

As a matter of fact, it was just a little over an hour and a half before the noises stopped.

"All right!" Luke said.

"I think I'm done!" he called to her.

Luke just smiled.

"All right then." he said.

"I suppose... I ought to get to work, then." he went on, cracking his knuckles.

"Enjoy the ramen, wherever you eat it." he said further.

With that, he immediately set to getting everything he needed, remembering where everything was, due to being tutored there so many times already.

"That is true." Luke admitted.

"Hm." he then muttered.

"Right, to work." he said.

"....oh yeah." he then said further.

"The ramen." he commented.

"You taking that with you, or am I just setting it off to the side?" he asked her.

Luke thought for a moment, and scratched at his chin a bit.

"Hmmm..." he mumbled.

"All right." he said.

"I'll surprise you." he told her.

"Hmmmmmmm..." he mumbled again.

"All right, is it okay if I use the kitchen here?" he asked.

"Or do I have to go offsite and bring the finished product back?"

"Rich, huh?" Luke asked.

"Hm." he muttered.

"Well, I'm confident that I can make 3 things that can satisfy that." he told her.

"Tiramisu, Chocolate and Peanut Butter Brownies, or a Chocolate-Cookie Crunch Trifle." he listed off.

"Any of those sound good?" he asked.

Luke was silent for a moment, and Ash just chuckled.

"Well, I'll leave you kids to talk." he said.

"And sorry to burst your bubble there, lover boy." he added, causing Luke to turn red again, as Ash made his way off, laughing heartily.

"...yeah... that... message was... meant... for.... you..." Luke then admitted quietly to Kelly.

"And... um... well... I can... try and make you up a nice dessert?" he offered.

Luke smiled when he heard all that.

"Yay!" he exclaimed.

"Right." Ash said.

"Seems you win our incentive." he said to Kelly.

"Incentive?" Luke asked.

"If your dish passed by my standards, I told Kelly I'd give her my recipe for Spiced Thunder Boar stew." Ash explained.

"I came up with it about a month into your tutoring." he then said.

"So I'll get that for you later tonight, Kelly." he told his daughter.

Luke's face had turned red again, and Ash did the honours of tasting the ramen.

He tried every bit of it, making sure to get the full experience, and then stepped back, thinking about it.

"..." Luke was silent, as he waited with bated breath, before Ash sighed.

And it didn't sound confident.

"Well." he said, as Luke started to deflate slightly.

"I've had better." the Fyrane said. "But I'll be damned if I haven't had a HELL of a lot worse." he added, causing Luke to perk up.

"Huh?" he muttered.

"If I were to rate your ramen amongst the ramen I've had in my life, around the world, I'd say it's in the.... top 30%." he told Luke.

"So... overall, I'd call that a complete success." he finished, passing his judgement.

Luke just looked extremely embarrassed.

"I... I..." he stammered.

"Come here and take a look." Ash told his daughter.

When she did, and looked inside, she saw that Luke had prepared a sizeable vegetable ramen that smelled delicious, and there was a circle of crispy noodles around it, for her to add to taste. But the noodles spelled something out as she looked at them.
