The feline just snarled at her, and raised its paw.

As it did, its imposing blood-stained claws glistened in the sun.

It then brought its paw down on her, knocking her down to the ground and pinning her by her chest, the claws digging into her.

It growled once more and opened its mouth, revealing the teeth again, and looked ready to bite into her again, before it stopped and closed its mouth.

It remembered what had happened before. So it raised its other paw to strike her... more than likely in the face.

The feline noticed the vines coming up around it, before it let out a deafening sound.

It then used its fangs, and started to tear through the vines with ease. It clawed away at the others, and within seconds, it had made a hole in the enclosure.

It then started to make its way towards Lily again.

However, it wasn't running. It was taking its time and striding towards her carefully. However, its stride was still large, and it was quickly closing the distance between them.

The feline growled and continued to sink his teeth into her... but then paused for a moment.

It then looked confused, and withdrew its fangs, before stepping back.

It shook its head a little, and hacked loudly, before shaking again even harder.

It then wobbled a little, before looking at Lily and growling again, before racing towards her.

However, it was clearly off-kilter, and its balance was severely hindered, meaning it was a LOT slower than before.

Sorry. Addison replied.

Mana's weak. Can't really see. Or hear well. Or anything. he told her.

I feel sleepy... he then added.

And then... there was silence. Sheer dead silence.

Which was when she received a text.

'She's already on her way. Seems she knew you wanted to talk to her.' Ash had sent.

...hey Mom... Addison replied.

Big trouble. he told her.

Wasn't one cat. Was two. They were mates. he told her further.

Someone showed up, though. he then said.

Killed the female and they're fighting the male. So thanks for the assist. he finished, not knowing who the person was, and it showed.

Addison's vision was blurry as all heck, and his strength was fading, but he managed to take a deep blue pendant that was around his neck, and grab onto it, clasping his hand around it tightly.

He then concentrated. Hard.

He put everything he had into this.

And that was when Cass noticed something.

A matching pendant that she had on the wall of her office started to pulsate wildly, and and was making a small chiming sound.

The male that had been holding onto Addison looked towards his dead mate, and then at Lily.

He let go of Addison, who promptly fell to his knees and collapsed onto his front.

At that point, Lily felt an IMMENSE aura of darkness from the feline, and the killing intent was so thick, it was palpable.

The large feline then crouched down... it was readying itself to strike.

"................" Ash was silent as he felt her mana leave the guild.

"CRAP!" he yelled, before turning and running elsewhere in the guild.

Meanwhile, Addison was NOT doing well.

It had seemed that the shadow-fang he had been told about had not be a singular one. There had been two of them. And they were mates, making them even MORE dangerous.

He was pinned against the wall by one of them, the male. His fangs were digging into Addison's shoulder, and his front claws were piercing into his chest.

The female had covered him in cuts, scratches, and gouges, and was currently backing off slightly. However, Addison could tell that she was preparing to attack again.

Odds are this one would be to severely cripple, or kill.

Ash paused when he heard that.

"....oh..." he muttered.

"Oh, crap!" he exclaimed.

"Yeah, I should get to Cass." he then muttered.

"Tell her to send someone out to Inverness to check that out..."

Ash stopped when he heard Lily and her question.

"Eh?" he asked.

"Addison?" he asked further.

He then paused for a moment, and thought about it, before shrugging.

"Last I saw him, he was dispatched on a B-level hunt." he told her. "A feral Shadow-Fang was causing mischief, so he went to take care of the feline." he went on.

"Why?" he then asked.

Addison just nodded.

"All right." he replied.

"And feel free to visit us anytime." Luke chimed in.

"Just... be careful." he then said.

"If nobody's home, that snake might just try and eat you." he commented, pointing to the now-sleeping reptile coiled around Lily.

Addison remained silent as the interaction was had, before looking at Lily and nodding again.

"Mmhmm." he said.

"....wait, what?" he then asked.

"Better than Ash!?" he exclaimed.

"In some regards." Luke responded.

"Her father can still top her in quite a few areas of cooking."

Luke just laughed.

"Only a fool in love would try and get close to you." he told her in a bit of sibling ribbing.

"........." Addison was just silent as he heard that.

He then looked to his plate of food, and tried some.

"...this is REALLY good." he said.

"Like, it tastes even better than it smells." he added.

Luke paused for a moment as his sister left, before sighing.

"Ok, not really." he muttered.

"We haven't gotten to THAT point yet." he sighed.

Addison just laughed when he heard that.

"Tried to be a big man, but failed." he chuckled.
