She was waiting for about 2 minutes, before receiving a response.

He says he's good to have an first-impression interview, yeah. she then received.

Just so long as your friend doesn't mind the receptionist's are being a little messy. Arryn's doing some organising in her area, so it's a little on the disheveled side. she received further.

Virgil, meanwhile, just called out for another drink, which was answered by the man behind the bar, as the young lady was pretty much keeping her distance from him.

Which he understood, sadly.

"Huh?" Virgil muttered, but Anya merely put up a finger.

"Ah, ah, ah." she said.

Virgil then rolled his eyes and went back to his drink, as Anya received a response from the man she texted.

Yup. was all it read.

Will be for a bit, still. Why? the next text asked.

"I know." Virgil responded.

"But you know as well as I do that anything you'd do would either be detrimental to her health, or be very temporary." he told her.

"...and I want more out of my existence." he then said.

"I'm tired of just leeching off of her. I know she's wealthy, but she'll reach her limit soon. I don't want that to happen." he went on, showing her he really had developed a conscience.

"But what can I do? I'm only good at attracting women. And gay men." he lamented.

"What skill set do I have that's even remotely useful, other than being a damn gigolo?"

Again, Virgil just sighed.

"A number of reasons." he said.

"Since I've discovered that I don't like being a homewrecker, my... incubus lust has been a little unchecked." he told her. "But that's a minor thing, really." he then admitted.

"But in reality, there are demon hunters in this city. I think they're just passing through, but they got me. I managed to find help, but... they still managed to injure me." he went on.

"Also, my landlady is... well... she's getting REALLY overbearing." he then muttered.

Virgil was silent for a moment, before looking towards the newcomer.

"Not by choice, Anya." he said.

"You saw the wedding band on her finger. I know I did." he told her.

"It's why I was trying to ignore her." he told her further.

"And it's been a while because I've been trying to lay low." he then informed her. "But lately, that's been getting harder and harder to do." he lamented, shaking his head.

"Didn't expect to run into you so casually." he then admitted.

Hal watched her go, and sighed quietly to himself.

'Not sure what I would do without her.' he thought. 'Probably fall apart.' he surmised, before getting back to work.

A few days later, Virgil had found himself at the bar & grill known as 'Helscape', and was sitting at the bar itself, a drink in his hand, and a woman in her late 30's getting QUITE friendly with him.

The problem was, he didn't want to get friendly with her, for a very big reason that he'd seen on her person beforehand.

So he just tried his best to ignore her, and hoped she would give up.

But he knew she wouldn't.

Hal paused for a moment, and Arryn saw the realisation in his eyes.

"Oh! Right!" he said.

"I forgot that I didn't do that yesterday. I got distracted." he said further.

"Thank you." he told her, searching for the form and finding it.

"You're a lifesaver."

"Completely understandable." Hal responded.

"I'll put the word out to a select few people to be on the lookout for him." he told her, looking at the description again. "Because, again, if this is the same man as in the previous reports I've gotten, we MAY have a larger issue." he said further.

"..." he was then silent, seemingly pondering something, before shaking his head.

"Anyway." he said.

"Is there anything else?" he asked her.

"Anything more you can think of, or wish to discuss?"

"I'll do what I can." Hal told her.

"The main thing is that you don't feel threatened." he said.

"Though his behaviour IS odd, really... could be a different person, though. Just a look-alike..." he mumbled.

"Anyway, thank you for coming to me about this." he then said to her.

"Let me know if he suddenly starts becoming more assertive or aggressive, in a worrying manner."

"I see, I see..." Hal responded, looking at the description again.

"...this person seems... remarkably similar to one that has attempted to seduce a couple of the female agents that work her very recently..." he commented, thinking about it.

"However, the behaviour you describe is... entirely counter to how one such as himself should be acting." he went on.

"To say this is confusing is... an understatement." he sighed.

"Well, I shall look into this as best I can." he told her.

"The big thing right now is, do you feel like you are in any danger?" he inquired.

Hal's expression was blank for a moment, before he became very serious suddenly.

"Nevertheless, we must take this as seriously as possible." he told her.

"Just because you think he means no harm, doesn't mean that's true. And even if he doesn't mean harm, it's still illegal, and action must be taken." he reasoned, getting out a sheet of paper.

"What does he look like, from what you've seen?" he asked.

"Has he made any advances towards you?" he asked her.

"And has he been getting bolder with his stalking?" he asked further.

Hal looked up towards her, and nodded.

"Of course." he responded.

"Have a seat." he told her, gesturing to one of the chairs.

"Is everything all right?" he asked.

"You seem a little... distracted and tired."

Zeke's eyes widened when he heard that.

"Mine." was all he said.

The next morning, as Angela was getting things ready before she headed off to work, she knocked on the door to the room that Virgil was staying in. She received no answer, but just then, one of the fae came up to her and stated that he had left about 10 minutes before she'd woken up.

She just sighed and opened the door, to find the room, indeed, empty. Except for a piece of paper on the bed. She went over and picked it up, to find a couple hundred dollars under it as well.

Thank you for caring for me.

It's best if I leave without anyone knowing or seeing me. Before anyone is truly awake. Again, thank you so much for your kindness, I shall never forget it.

And I felt no pain whatsoever before I was leaving. it read.

"Well, he's an incubus, and your name IS sort of known." Zeke responded.

"Odds are he seduced a female to get the information." he went on, before pausing.

"...will this cause trouble in the future?" he asked.

"He said it wouldn't." she responded. "He told me that I was in no danger, nor was my family... in terms of him knowing where I live, anyway." she then clarified further.

"...normally I'd be suspicious, but... he seems... surprisingly earnest for an incubus." Zeke replied.

"Seriously, I've yet to meet one so... humble, I guess."
