"Got it." Ash responded as they left the security area, and headed further into the building.

"...right." he mumbled after a pause.

"I'm going to guess it's serious. Like, REALLY serious." he said.

"Otherwise we wouldn't be here at the Unit." he reasoned.

"Is everyone in your company all right?" he asked her.

He accepted the ticket quizzically, and looked around at the people that were whispering and muttering. He heard the name 'Sunspot' mentioned a couple of times, and for some reason, it rang a bell of vague familiarity in his brain.

He then sighed as the officers closed in, and the pro approached as well, before shaking his head.

"I gotta get going." he told them.

"Make sure he doesn't hurt anyone." he said, referring to the villain that had been taken down.

Then, before anyone could really say anything, he turned and quickly headed off, checking what the ticket was that he'd been given.

Jake raised an eyebrow.

"Never really had one." he admitted. "Haven't talked to Yuki much, or Vaeri. But the odd times I've chatted with YOU it's been cool." he told her.

"Still, if your company can be saved, that's amazing news." he then said with a smile, as Ash walked into the area from the small room used for people to teleport into with mana.

"Yo." he greeted them, as Jake 'smelled' him, and then nodded.

"Yep, it's him." the guard confirmed.

"All right, I assume we're going to Sharp's office?" Ash asked Kaia.

Hal nodded in response.

"Understandable." he said.

"See you back here soon." he told her.

Kaia then left the office and made her way back to security, where Jake greeted her.

"Hey." he said.

"What's up?" he asked.

The response came about 15 seconds later.

Sure, got plenty to spare, lol. the text said.

Just lemme know whatcha need from me. the next one read.

Kaia reported this to Hal, who nodded in response.

"Tell him to come here." he said, to which she did, saying there'd be a full explanation when he got there.

I'll be there in a couple min. Ash told her.

"All I ask is that you try." Hal responded.

Kaia's text was simple, quick, and to the point.

You busy? it asked.

They were then waiting for longer than they would like, about 3 minutes, before her cell chimed.

Not anymore. Just got back from a trip to grab some wild mushrooms. Sup? the return text read.

"Have a seat." Hal told her, gesturing to a chair.

"And yes." he answered Vaeri, as she sat down.

"Kaia, I'll be frank about this. We have a way to bring everyone back." he told her. "However, it's going to require having a Void dweller absorb copious amounts of mana from someone." he said further.

"More mana than any one person has... save for one." he went on, figuring she'd know who he meant.

"Can you ask him? I'm sure he'll be more willing to listen to you, and help you."

Hal nodded.

"Very much so." he said.

"The question is, how to ask him about this." he told her, before pausing.

"Or... rather... WHO will ask him." he realised, before pressing the button for the P.A. system.

"Kaia Fyrane to my office immediately, please." he said.

"Kaia Fyrane to Agent Sharp's office, ASAP." he repeated.

Hal was stunned to hear this, and see the pendant.

"...I see." he said.

"Very well." he said further, pondering this turn of events.

"We just need someone with enough mana to help with this." he continued, narrowing his eyes slightly.

"I have an idea as to WHO, as well." he then mumbled.

"From what I know, he has so much mana, not even his own body can handle it."

She wasn't waiting for long, only 10 seconds, before the door opened.

"Oh!" Hal said.

"Come in, come in." he told her, stepping out of the way.

"...you look particularly out of sorts right now." he then commented.

"Is it getting worse again?" he asked, referring to the flickering.

Ty didn't know what else to say here. He'd made all the reassurances he could think of, and anything else he could say would be either repeating himself, or be mindless or pointless. She didn't need that.

She needed help. Everyone in that company did.

And this was the only way he could think of for that help to come... even if it wasn't guaranteed.

They were flying blind with this. They could very well crash and burn.

But they couldn't not do something.

Hal had granted this wish, they had to do what they could with the info that had been granted.

"...all we need is some hint that it'll be willing to LISTEN to us." Ty told her.

"Something. Anything." he went on.

"Even if it's just a signal that it's willing to reason." he continued.

"It's all we ask." he said further.

"...it's all we have left, I think..."

Ty shook his head slightly.

"I'm sorry." he apologised.

"It's not fair to ask you to do such a thing, but... I... there's little other options." he said.

"We have demons and angels and spirits and everything else at our disposal... but we don't have a single individual that can properly contact or interact with the Void." he went on.

"None come to mind, anyway..."

Ty bit his lip slightly.

"I cannot think of anyone else that could potentially contact it." he admitted.

"If you are willing... we have to try." he told her.

"For your sake, as well as everyone else's." he reasoned.

"...and just hope it works..."
