Ty shook his head again.

"I can't say if it will work, of if it won't." he said.

"I can't tell you to do it, or not to do it." he went on.

"But if we can somehow establish communication with it, we might be able to get it to listen to us. To see some sort of reason." he told her further.

"It might be our only chance to get everyone else back here safely."

"Hmmmm." Ty mumbled.

"If there was a way you could get its attention. Odds are it can hear you." he said.

"Just... some way for you to tell it to show itself to someone we'll send there." he went on.

"You might be able to be an ambassador for us and it." he continued.

"But this is purely theoretical."

"...I do." Ty responded.

"The creature needs a LOT of mana to get home. If we bring someone there with copious amounts of it to spare, then it can syphon off of THEM, and return the others." he explained.

"But we'd need a way to communicate with it." he said further.

"Which is to say, make sure it knows that that will be the deal, and that they would need to return the mana 'donator' back to this realm." he went on.

"But that's just the simplest idea." he stressed.

"I'm still organising the rest of the info I just gleamed as we speak."

"Agh..." Ty muttered.

"Sorry, I'm fine, I'm fine." he assured her.

"Had a bit of... inspiration, you can say?" he told her. "I just got a massive rush of knowledge." he continued, his eyes looking left and right, locating where Sharp was.

"Relevant information." he went on.

"I know what's happening to the people of the theatre." he continued. "It... it seems a wayward Void Dweller has been displaced from its home, and is trying to get back there." he informed her. "To do so, it's displacing the people of the theatre, and using the mana-energy generated from them to try and open a way BACK to the Void." he finished.

Unbeknownst to her, someone had overheard that conversation... especially her closing statements. Hal paused when he heard that, thinking about what she had wished for, before nodding.

'I should have thought of that.' he thought to himself.

The question was... who? Who should gain this knowledge? Vaeri herself would be the most logical choice, seeing as she had first-hand experience with what was happening, but would the sudden rush of knowledge be too much for her?

On the other hand, perhaps it could jolt her back to a more stable mental state. But there was a chance it would just make it worse, and the wish would go to waste.

So, in the end, he went with a safer bet. Someone that he KNEW had experienced the horrors of the world, so this shouldn't do too much.

"Granted." he whispered, lightly snapping his fingers.

And it was then that Vaeri saw Ty's pupils dilate, as he leaned forward and looked like he was having a small migraine.

Ty just shook his head.

"I see." he said.

"I'd normally recommend seeing our resident psych about that, but... well, not sure it would help." he muttered. "In fact, I'm reasonably certain it wouldn't." he corrected himself.

"But we're doing all we can." he told her.

"...I just know it's not much, in the long run..."

She was sitting there for a bit, when someone sat across from her. It was someone she'd gotten to know in the short time she was there, Ty, and he sighed quietly as he saw she was looking dead tired and ready to give up.

"Hey again." he greeted her.

"We're still trying to find a way to deal with the situation." he said.

"We're trying to find individuals that know about the realms, but... well, info is scarce." he lamented.

"How are you holding up?" he asked.

Jake nodded, though she couldn't see it.

"Got it." he replied.

"I'll see you whenever you get home then, whether it be before or after me." he told her.

With that, they ended the call, and he sighed quietly.

"Damn." he muttered.

"...how do we help these people...?"

"I figured it would be a bit of a longshot." Jake admitted.

"But if you can find out ANYTHING, it would be helpful." he told her.

"Thanks for trying, in advance." he then said.

"And I'll talk to you later." he said further.

"Love you."

"Well, she ID'd herself." Jake responded.

"And believe it or not, I've never actually heard of her kind." he admitted. "Or if I have, it was in passing, or it was in a context where I forgot about it afterwards." he added.

"But in her defense, she's... quite desperate, and seemed to be barely clinging to existence, flickering in and out quite frequently." he then said further.

"Regardless, things are looking dire for the theatre troupe." he went on.

"We need to find how HOW they're getting taken to that plane, and how to bring them back."

"...damn it." Jake cursed.

"Also... I'm an idiot. Not an elf." he told her.

"Some kind of fae. Sombra-fae or something." he corrected himself.

"Regardless, if what you say is true, these people need help. And NOW." he went on.

"Before irreversible damage is done, if it hasn't already been."

"....hm, I see." Jake responded.

"Well, they're not dead, but... yeah, someone's back from there. Kind of." he told her.

"An elf that is... possibly projecting herself to this realm." he said.

"And she described a realm of blackness, nothingness, and emptiness."

Yeah, I know. Jake responded.

However, there's been a breakthrough on the theatre case. he then sent.

Seems there's strong evidence that those that have disappeared are being taken to the Void. Or some place very close to it. he added in another text.

He then just sighed and shook his head.

"Damn it, is there any way to fix that?" he wondered aloud.

"Understandable." Hal responded.

"Well, we'll get you settled in as best we can." he said.

Jake, meanwhile, was silent, before sending a text to Anya.

Hey, know anything about the Void? he sent.

Or know someone who DOES? he then sent after.
