The one that stood there appeared to be a young man in his late 20's, with short, platinum blonde hair, that had blue frosted tips. His eyes were a matching blue to the frosting in his hair, and he wore a pair of worn jeans, a denim jacket, simple brown sandals, and a black band tee.

He was silent as he seemed to look RIGHT at her hair for close to 5 seconds, before he diverted his attention forward, and stepped inside.

"I am." he responded, his voice having a slight, but distinct, Russian accent to it.

"She's barricaded herself in her room, so she needs some emergency counselling and tutoring." he reasoned.

"I can only assume she's been through a traumatic experience that's caused this to suddenly manifest?" he asked as he walked past her.

There was silence for a moment, before she received a text.

Have you barricaded yourself in your room? they sent, immediately showing her they knew what she was dealing with.

I have. she responeded.

Give me your address. I'll be there very soon. the next text read.

And after about 5 minutes, Rowena, Vincent, and Lindsay heard the doorbell to the manor ring.

"Hm?" Vincent mumbled.

"Wonder who that is..." he said.

"Rowena, Lindsay, were you expecting company?" he asked them.

"I was not." Lindsay responded.

They're all empaths that Hal Sharp knows. Lindsay sent her.

Because that's what's happening to you. It seems you had the latent capabilities of becoming an empath, and it would have naturally happened later in your life. he sent next.

But this betrayal forced it out sooner than natural. he sent further.

Those people will help you reign in and control this. he finished in another one, now giving her a chance to respond now.

"Fair." Lindsay responded.

He then accepted the paper from her, and made his way to Alice's door, knocking on it, and getting his phone out.

We know what's happening. he sent.

And we know some people that can help you. he sent next.

With that, he took the paper and slipped it under the door.

"...and empath?" Vincent asked.

"She's... she's an empath?" he asked further. "Well... that DOES explain the 'unlocked' comment, and why she's barricading herself away from everyone else." he reasoned.

"Indeed." Lindsay agreed.

"I'll take it up to her." he said.

"She's been more receptive to me." he told them.

Lindsay and Vincent stopped looking through the books they had their noses buried in, and looked over towards her.

"Oh?" Vincent asked.

"Why's that?" Lindsay inquired.

"..." Vincent was then silent for a moment, before it seemed to click.

"Ah. Right, you went to Hal." he recalled.

"I'm guessing he had a solution?" he asked her.

Hal returned the hug, and held onto her until she released her own embrace.

"Of course." he said with a small smile.

"If you ever need me again, do not hesitate to call upon my services." he told her.

"And, let me know if there's anything more I can to help with this situation." he added.

"For now, I do hope the rest of your day is pleasant." he wished her sincerely.

"Of course." Hal responded.

"And it's no problem. I assure you." he insisted.

"I'm just glad I was able to steer you in the right direction for proper help." he then said, standing up and making his way over.

"And I really hope they do help." he told her.

"What Alice went through... no-one should ever have to go through." he reasoned.

Hal smiled at her.

"Family never has to repay family." he told her. "Not for situations like THIS, anyway." he said further.

"...I MAY ask for a custom firework in the future, though." he then admitted.

"But that's nothing to concern ourselves with now." he reasoned.

"For now, do what you can for your daughter." he told her.

"She needs help. And those people can provide it. Proper help."

"Yeah..." Hal murmured.

"Hmmm... empathy can be a very troublesome ability, especially when one doesn't know how to handle it, or even what it really IS." he said further.

"Hrm..." he then muttered, before taking out a sheet of paper, and writing down a few names.

"Try these people." he told her.

"Mention my name, and they'll be MORE than happy to help." he went on.

"Or, rather, say you found them THROUGH me, and they'll be more open to just helping out in general."

After making sure she was all right, Hal paused and thought for a moment.

"...empaths?" he asked.

"Hmmmm..." he mumbled, pondering his staff.

"I... well, there's agent Vierayen, but... she's not an Empath, per se." he reasoned.

"I might know of a few outside my employ, but it's been a while since I've had to think about it." he admitted.

"Let me check." he said, going to his laptop.

Hal was silent for a moment, before nodding.

"...very well." he then said.

"If it's to help with family, my abilities are at your disposal." he told her.

"I wish I knew what was happening to my daughter, Alice." Rowena then spoke.

Upon hearing that, Hal snapped his fingers, and Rowena's mind was flooded with knowledge.

And emotions. Strong emotions. Emotions that manifested into a veritable flood, that seemed to be surrounding and drowning Alice.

Thankfully, Jake had called ahead, and just as security was starting to be alerted to a potential threat, Hal had calmed it down and said there was no need to come charging in, or whatever.

The last thing he needed was Rowena being attacked.

She arrived at the receptionist's area, but Hal's door was already open, and she was gestured to enter.

"Hello, Rowena." Hal greeted her when she stepped in.

"Rare to see you here." he commented, offering her a seat.

Jake looked over his newspaper, she heard his tongue dart out, and he pressed the button to let her in.

"He is." he said.

"Want me to let him know you're here?" he asked. "Or you gonna make that a surprise?" he asked further.

"Also, you remember how to get there?" he then asked her.

"I can get someone to guide you there if not. Or you can use the interactive maps." he finished, gesturing to a blue tile on the wall.
