Evan paused and thought for a moment.

"...omit? No." he said. "No, I don't think there's anything you would need to omit, really." he commented.

"As for anything you should definitely add... that I'm not sure, either." he then admitted, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Oh!" he exclaimed.

"List specifically what sort of accessories you've made for glamours." he told him. "Or ones you've merely enchanted, in some cases." he went on.

"Give Agent Sharp a more specific idea of what you've already created."

"All we can do is wait and see." he said.

"I mean, references can help a lot, too." he told him.

"Testimonials to your quality. Like Jen, for example." he continued.

"Or, Sharp may have you do some kind of practical assessment, and judge you based on THAT." he suggested.

"Only way to find out is for us to submit that resume and cover letter, and see what happens."

"Ah, crap, right." Evan muttered. "Forgot that. We need to get a new one soon." he said.

"And yeah, I'll go into work early tomorrow and print one off." he told him.

"Also, a cover letter might be good as well." he continued. "Given the channel that you've learned this information from, adding that extra bit of professionalism certainly couldn't hurt." he reasoned.

"Not that learning about this from me should hurt your chances, but... well, better safe than sorry, I suppose." he added with a small shrug.

"As far as I know, they haven't found a suitable hire yet, and it seems like Agent Sharp is borderline desperate, so with your skills, and showing professionalism, hopefully you'll be the answer to his prayers."

"I'm pretty sure a net is cast out on some... hidden and obscure channels." Evan mumbled.

"But I'll approach Agent Sharp tomorrow morning." he told him. "See if... well, I can fast-track this a bit." he went on, before pausing and thinking about it, and then shaking his head.

"No. I won't." he said.

"If I want to try and get you this job, this needs to be done on your own merits, and NOT because you know ME." he reasoned.

"Can you give me a resume and such?" he asked.

"I'll take it to Sharp and we'll see what happens from there."

Evan was getting more and more excited, before he forced himself to calm down.

"Well... her glasses glamour broke." he told him.

"And... uh... well, let's just say this problem lies with someone in the Glamour and Disguises department." he continued. "I hear rumours and such from... well, people that wouldn't lie." he shrugged.

"Point is, Agent Sharp is going to have to get rid of that person, but that'll leave the department cripplingly understaffed." he went in.

"YOU can work there!"

"Oh, no." Evan responded.

"He was doing negotiations with someone that's... uh, well, a spider demon." he said.

"Long story short, she wears a glamour, and they're good at said negotiations, so it always works out." he truncated.

"Anyway, something happened and she ended up inadvertently showing him her spider self." he went on, shaking his head.

"All because her..." he then said further, pausing for a moment.

"...wait..." he mumbled.

"Because... her... Blair!" he then exclaimed.

"I think I know where you can get a job! Hell, a CAREER!" he told him excitedly.

Evan nodded in response.

"Well, that's good." he said.

He then shook his head a little, and stared at the window again.

"...huh." he mumbled.

"Little spider on the outside of the window." he commented.

"...reminds me of when I needed to recently help an agent that had an attack of his arachnophobia." he went on. "A shame, too. He had a VERY severe attack, and the exercises I gave him really helped, though."

Evan was easy to get riled up when Blair was involved... but he was also easy to calm down. As soon as Blair ruffled his hair, he melted a little, and a low purring sound was hear from the cat-boy.

"...mmm... okay..." he mumbled.

"At least there's that." he said.

"I just don't want you to get hurt." he went on.

"You're too nice and sweet and pretty to get hurt." he reasoned with a small pout.

"...." Evan was silent for a moment, growling slightly.

"People are idiots." he said.

"They don't understand someone, so they treat them poorly." he snarled.

As he spoke, he'd taken off his glasses, and Blair could see the fur on his kitty ears starting to get ruffled and the ears themselves were turning back.

Even really did love him. And to hear he was treated this way genuinely riled him up.

Evan let out a low whistle.

"Booooy did I ever." he said.

"Though I'm pretty sure it was because I was filling a niche that desperately needing filling." he then said further. "From all I've heard, that place was in DIRE need of a proper psychiatrist/therapist, and it seems I was the perfect peg for that hole." he went on.

"Or could be because of the level of the position. I WAS in school a while for it." he reasoned.

"But whatever the reason, that bonus will keep us going for a bit." he agreed.

"I'll see if I can find anything that you can actually use your skills for, though."

"Ohhhh, no." Evan said.

"No, no, flipping burgers was miserable for you." he commented. "I remember how beaten-down you were with that daily grind, and having to deal with the public." he went on.

"That was no life for you, no job for you, and I don't want to see you return to that." he told him.

"If I have to, I will personally see to it that you don't need to return to that life." he then vowed, his tone serious and heavy.

"...because, for real, I don't want you to have that kind of soul-crushing job." he said sympathetically.

Evan chuckled lightly.

"Well, I have my Dad to thank for recommending me, and Agent Sharp to thank for taking a chance on me." he told him.

"But. You are right. I got VERY lucky." he agreed.

"How about you?" he asked.

"You said you were going to try and find something down here. Any progress on that?" he asked further.

"Any leads, even?"

"It really went smoothly and speedily." Evan commented.

"I'm surprised." he said.

He then sighed quietly, and looked out the nearby window, smiling softly.

"But we did it." he mumbled.

"We moved out, we're living together, we're making it on our own, Blair." he said further.

"We're staking out place in the world."

"Oh! All right then." Evan said, as he sat down in a nearby chair.

"And a couple of years? Wow." he commented. "That is a long-ass time for a glamour to last." he said.

"That's some mighty fine work." continued.

He then sighed quietly, and threw his head back slightly.

"So how was today?" he asked.

"Anything interesting happen?"
