"Ah... right then." Ash muttered.

"I see." he said.

"Well, I'm sure Alice won't be an issue in terms of convincing." he went on.

"...but perhaps I'll tag along, just to make sure." he then said.

"Let's go." he told her, before the two of them vanished from where they were, appearing in the backyard of where Alice lived.

"..." Ash didn't quite know what to say here, but then sighed.

"I see." he said.

"Well... I don't know what good I can do, but... if you want company for this, I'll go with." he told her.

"Just in case you need someone there to... well... back up how you feel and such." he continued.

"The powers of your premo...nitions..." he went on, but then trailed off.

"But... you see the PAST..." he recalled. "How does...?" he started to ask further, but then shook his head.

"The answer's going to give me a headache, isn't it?"

"What the...?" Ash muttered, before shaking his head.

As he walked over towards her, she saw him take out his cell phone and give the details as to where they were.

"She's up and about, but she's refusing to stay here until the medic arrives." he said into it.

"No, she's absolutely insistent that she has to see her sister, and she refuses to listen to me." he went on.

"...from what I can tell, she seems all right at the moment, yes." he then said further.

"Uh-huh... uh-huh... all right, thank you." he finished, before hanging up.

"Certainly hope they're not mad at me and think that was a crank call or false alarm."

"Wait, what...?" Ash muttered.

"Vicki, hold on." he said. "You just passed out under odd circumstances, you need to be checked out." he told her.

"I can get ahold of Alice if you want." he then offered.

"But just try and take it easy, all right?" he continued.

"Passing out is never a good thing."

"Vicki!" Ash exclaimed, racing over.

"Are you all right?" he asked.

"Your mana was freaking out and you suddenly passed out." he told her. "I called a medic to come and take you to the hospital, but... I admit, I didn't think you'd wake up already." he admitted further.

"What happened?" he asked.

"You really stressed or something?"

Ash was ready immediately as Alice did this... as he saw Vicki's hold on herself grow weaker and weaker. Just as Alice finished doing what she did, and started to stagger back, Ash initiated the runes.

As soon as they hit her, Vicki essentially felt herself yanked from the jaws of an unknown beast, and found herself floating in an abyss. She heard Ash and Alice cry out, though it sounded muddled and muted, like she was underwater, and when she looked back, she saw Vic's body attacking Ash and Alice.

However, she then remembered what Ash had said.

'Don't hesitate. Find the signpost of your old self, and race towards it.'

Ahead of her, she saw darkness... but she swore she saw a light shining in the far off distance... and it seemed pretty bright, too.

Ash didn't say anything, and once he and Alice had set up the crystals, he sighed.

"...ignore anything you hear when your soul comes loose." he told her.

"You hear me? Don't look back. Don't hesitate. Find that signpost of your old self, and race towards it." he said.

He then looked at Alice.

"And we best be ready." he muttered.

"Once Vicki leaves for home, this won't be pretty."

"Ah, right." Ash muttered, finding the crystals and handing Alice some.

He told her at what points they needed to be placed at, and how he and Vicki would do the rest.

"Vicki, hang on." he then said to Vicki.

"When you feel the mana surge into you, just let your soul be taken." he went on.

"You won't be sealed away, I promise. You'll just find your way back home."

"....I do." Ash responded.

"I remember what we did, and I remember the notes saying how to reverse it." he told her.

"...yeah, she's... she's falling a lot faster than Vic did." he then realised, as he took some tentative steps to a nearby drawer that had the crystals they'd need it in.

"Vicki, just hang on." he muttered.

"Keep it together, and we'll get you home."

"Well, there you go, Vicki!" Ash said to Vicki.

"That should be enough, right?" he asked.

"You have enough to go on now, yeah? Go back to your original time and fix this?" he went on.

He then noticed that she had been silent for a bit, having not said much at all since Alice showed up.

"...Vicki? You okay?" he asked her.

Ash seemed to be almost overloaded by all the information that had just been imparted, before he cleared his throat and shook his head slightly.

"...yes, that DOES explain why I needed to leave as quickly as I did." he agreed.

"I didn't realise Jordan was there and there was such strain on her..." he muttered.

"But, Vicki, that's great news!" he then said to Vicki. "With this information, you can stop it before it gets any further." he went on.

He then paused for a moment, thinking about something.

"But WHERE in the Alps?" he asked Alice.

"Yes, that narrows it down considerably, but... the Alps are still a massive area." he muttered with a sigh.

Savra wasn't sure what to say to that, so they just lightly laid their head on Eke's belly.

They were silent for a moment, before Eke noticed their tail wagging a little.

Savra was happy that Eke seemed to be okay for now. And that's what really seemed to matter to them.

'At least things seem better now.' they 'said'.

Savra watched as Eke stretched the wings out, and looked more relaxed.

'Good.' they sent out to Eke.

'I don't want anything to happen to you.' they told him.

'And it seemed like you were really hurt back there.' they then added.

'But you and your brother are okay now?' they then asked him.

"...damn it." Ash cursed.

"I didn't know where else to go." he admitted.

"But... this is bad. Really bad." he then said to Alice.

"We can't like Vicki go the way of Vic. She needs to head home. SOON." he went on.

"...but she also needs information she can use for when she goes back..."
