Vincent stepped through the door, but only enough to let it shut behind him, waiting patiently for her to finish up what she needed to.

"Oh, just some end-of-expedition stuff." he responded.

"Last minute dealings, discussing plans for afterwards." he went on.

"Talk about the exciting things we discovered." he added with a laugh.

"And enjoy a really nice buffet set up for everyone." he then told her further, smirking to himself a little.

Later! Ilias managed to respond before she signed off.

When she made her way to the door and opened it, she saw Vincent standing there, smiling.

"Hello, Mira." he greeted.

"You got some time?" he asked.

"We want to meet up downstairs." he told her further. "And you really ought to be there." he then reasoned with a light chuckle.

We're all missing you. Ilias responded.

We're all looking forward to when you come back. h then sent.

Especially Jake. He misses one of his best drinking buddies. he added with a laughing emoji at the end.

Peyton's been a bit lonely as well, even though you chat daily. he then revealed.

...you didn't hear that from me, though. he stressed in a following message.

I'm sure it'll be fine if they do. he told her.

Maybe just have a little. I know it's asking a lot, but... you can handle your booze. he then sent.

You've drank everyone at the Unit under the table. Except for the demons. But they don't count. he reminded her.

Heck, you even won against ZEKE. he then added.

That is amazing! Ilias responded.

It's... history-changing! You're gonna be famous! he told her.

I'll deal with that as it comes. Mira responded.

PLEASE tell me you're getting some kind of party for this. Ilias then sent her.

Seriously, you deserve infinite kudos and everything else for this discovery!

There was silence from him for close to 2 minutes after that.

Are you for real!? Ilias responded.

I had a feeling the one on display wasn't legit, but... really!? he asked further.

The real McCoy. ACTUAL Aegis. THE shield of Zeus. he said further.

How in the HELL did you manage THAT?

After a few seconds, they responded.

All right, I'm intrigued. he said.

VERY intrigued. the next message clarified.

Whatca find? I'm ready to have my socks knocked off. the last one read.

And she could practically hear the lighthearted chuckle at the end of THAT one.

"Excellent." Vincent responded with a smile.

Over the course of the next week, Mira identified and appraised all of the weapons they found, of various quality and interest, but the biggest news was that the shield she'd found was, indeed, Aegis.

It had been confirmed through multiple tests, and it seemed like Mira's name would forever be in the history books because of this.

Which was plenty exciting enough for her, but the one thing that topped it were learning that the spear was cleared for teleporting to the Unit.

But there was one more thing... one she didn't know about, that the others were planning on springing on her.

Richard looked over to the woman when she asked her question.

"Eh?" he mumbled.

"Sure." he said. "She'd love it here, I would guess." he chuckled.

Vincent made his way closer to Mira, and approached her.

"How long do you have?" he asked.

"Which is to say, how long has Agent Sharp given you to be out here?" he clarified.

"Or is it undetermined?"

The rest if them shared a small laugh, before Richard shook his head.

"You are not leaving here until we've covered all those weapons, missy." he told her.

"Mira, you're really quite something." Vincent then said.

"Agent Sharp should be very proud of you." he told her sincerely.

"At any rate, our priority right now should be the definite identification of Aegis." James then said. "Thankfully, that should be able to be done by nightfall, especially with it being a potential mana relic." he reasoned.

Savra reacted quickly and made their way to the bottle, picking it up and recapping it, before cleaning up what had been spilled.

"He all right?" Ryker asked from up front.

"Fell asleep." Savra responded.

"Fair enough." Ryker said.

Once things had been cleaned up, Savra gently carried Eke to his bed on the RV, laid him down in it, made sure he was covered up, and then returned to their animal form, crawling onto the bed as well and curling into a ball at Eke's feet.

"Indeed." Vincent said.

"The internet there IS splendid. Best this country has to offer." Richard told her.

"Anyway, I think we may already consider this a day." James then said. "We've gotten so much done... and we've worked for far longer in one chunk of time than expected." he reasoned.

"I am inclined to agree." Richard said.

"As am I." Vincent nodded.

"Mira has accomplished a phenomenal amount in 5 hours." he added.

"It most certainly will." Vincent said.

"Oh, and whatever you take from the minibar, or order from room service is put to a charge account." he then told her. "So there's no need to worry about incurring a bill." he said further.

"We work ourselves to the bone out here, we deserve the chance to live like royalty when we're at the hotel." James declared with a laugh as he handed Mira a bottle of ice-cold water.

"That I can agree on." Richard said.

"And more than anyone, Mira has earned the right to live like a queen right now." he added with a small smile.

"Indeed." Vincent chimed in.

"Mira, you've made quite the splash onto the scene." he told her with a chuckle.

"As Richard said, once it's properly identified and verified, your name will be forever part of history." he reiterated.

"I was not exaggerating." Richard stated as they reached the tent.

"Water or sports drink?" James asked Mira.

"Which do you think you need?"
