Ilias was surprised by Kiah pulling the 'boss' card, but he wasn't going to question it.

"...all right." he said.

"That makes as much sense as anything else." he reasoned.

"I'll stay here and... hold down the fort, so to speak." he went on.

"...I really hope the news isn't too terrible, though..."

The first thing Eke noticed was that Savra had been sleeping close to him, and was awake now, stirred by Eke's sudden rising. The second was that they were moving.

The RV was on the move, and it looked to be sometime in the morning.

He had no idea how long they'd been moving, or where they were, but they were moving.

'Are you all right?' Savra inquired concernedly.

"....." Ilias didn't know what to say here. Kiah admitted she didn't want to go, and HE knew he didn't want to go. He was scared to find out the worse case scenario. He didn't know if he could handle it.

But did that make it okay for Kiah to do it, instead? Not in his mind.

He didn't say anything yet, but Kiah knew him. Ilias was the sort of person that wore his emotions on his sleeve, but she could see it far more clearly than anyone else. She knew the inner conflict that was happening.

"You... shouldn't have to go." Ilias finally said as she got closer to him.

"I mean... why should YOU have to hear horrible news?" he asked, shaking a little.

"....great." Ryker muttered.

"Well, losing the damage deposit on this." he commented, sighing.

"But at least it seems Eke's getting better." he reasoned.

"What's happening?" Savra asked, before returning to their animal form and laying down beside Eke.

"I don't know." Ryker replied.

"But I think we need to get home ASAP."

Savra noticed this and turned to their human form, checking Eke over.

"Sir Ryker!" they called out to Ryker.

"Master Eke is running a very high fever!" they exclaimed.

"Damn it." Ryker cursed from the fire, as he made his way back in, grabbing ice packs as he did so, and placing them on Eke's forehead, as well as the back of his neck.

"Come on, kid, don't do this NOW." he said.

Ilias bit his lip a little, and looked away for a moment, looking back to her after a second.

"Well... I..." he stammered.

"I don't know..." he said.

"I don't know if... if I could bear to hear that Peyton will..." he started to say further, before pausing, his breath catching in his throat.

"..." he was then silent, looking away, and let out a heavy breath.

"If you don't want to find out, then I will, Kiah."

"Hey... Kiah?" Ilias said when he approached.

"I... I just ran into Izzy trying to get into Mira's office." he told her.

"...Peyton might be in serious trouble." he continued.

"She said, and I quote; 'Peyton's in the medwing, I think.' and 'You might want to go quick. She doesn't have much blood to lose with her size.'..." he reported.

"Kiah, I think we might lose her..."

The colour drained from Ilias' face as he heard that.

"R... right." he said.

"I... that..." he stammered, before shaking his head.

"I need to tell Kiah!" he exclaimed, before turning and running off.

"Hope you find what you're looking for!" he called to her as he disappeared deeper into the department.

"Oh, yeah, sure." Ilias responded, taking his own card and unlocking it. He then opened it slightly, and sighed.

"...heard that the emergency's over, at least." he said.

"Anything you can say about it?" he asked her.

"Kiah and I have been worried sick about Mira and Peyton." he admitted.

"...Peyton moreso, due to... well... yeah, Mira and all..."

After a few seconds of trying the door, she looked around, before seeing Ilias in the distance.

"Yo!" she called out to him.

Ilias looked back towards her, before quickly making his way over.

"Oh, hello Izzy." he greeted her.

"What's up?" he asked.

Hal looked at Ally incredulously when she said that.

"Firstly, I'm fine with you doing that." he told her.

"But not now." he said further.

"I said the injured will be taken to the medical wing. That includes you." he stated.

"And Levi will be taken there as well, so he has somewhere to recuperate." he finished.

"Now MOVE!" he ordered them all, as 2 members of the medical team approached Ally and Levi.

"Ah!" Ryker exclaimed, catching Eke as he fell.

"The hell was THAT?" he muttered, looking at him.

He then sighed and carried Eke back into the RV, laying him down on the bed once more. When he'd done that, he went back out to tend to the fire, shaking his head as he did so.

"...the hell's going on in our lives as of late..."

"SILENCE!" Hal barked at her... in a voice that shook everyone there.

"One more word out of you, and you'll see a side of me I don't like showing." he warned her.

"Get her out of here, and into a holding cell." he told the guard with her. "I have paperwork to fill in regards to her... employment... and some legal proceedings as well." he said further.

"As for the rest of you. You 2 help escort her to holding. You 2 get whomever this is down to holding as well..." he continued, referring to Mira. "...and the medical team will take those injured to the medical wing." he went on, looking at the dead security guard.

"...and we'll need to inform his family..." he said soberly.

"Go." Hal told her.

"We need to find out what the HELL is going on with this." he said.

He then looked at the head of the department, and gritted his teeth.

"And do some paperwork." he said further.

Levi looked at her, and then down to the floor.

"...long overdue." he mumbled.
