"KIAH!" the one on the other end shouted, but the sheer force of it all was too much. It seemed she couldn't really say anything any longer, and it felt like the very structure of the building was being pushed to its very limits. Which was a feat in and of itself.

And he knew what this could mean. He knew what it DID mean. Something had gone wrong with the process.

And indeed it had. VERY wrong. Instead of slowing down the process, it had accelerated it. Immensely. There was nobody else in the department except Ilias and Jordan, and Jordan seemed to be immune from the effects of Kiah's rune right now. But Ilias wasn't. He felt his soul started to quickly and violently be torn from his body, and it would be mere seconds before he became a chain link, if Kiah didn't stop.

However, at that point, it seemed like time and space itself warped before him and Jordan, and a man clad in light blue jeans, worn grey sneakers, a shirt with the sleeves torn off, a small satchel over his shoulder, and a strange technological device that looked like a massively oversized watch on one of his wrists. His skin was almost that of a Spanish permanent tan, his hair was a short and ruffled dirty blonde, with silver streaks throughout, and his eyes were a hollow white.

"What the!?" he exclaimed, seeing what was happening.

"SHIT!" he yelled, rushing towards Jordan and taking a large syringe out of his satchel. He got close to Jordan, doing his best to withstand the immense power surging from her, and jabbed the syringe into the base of her neck, injecting the dark green liquid into her completely and fully.

Ilias nodded at her in response, and set to drawing out a rune-like design on the floor, with everything culminating in a triangle shape in the middle of it.

"Step into the triangle." he told her.

"We'll then give you something to imbibe." he went on.

"Once you do, we'll put specific mana into the markings, and they should react to what you took in." he continued.

"And after that... well... it's just a matter of letting the compound and markings do their thing."

"Well... I'll take it." Ilias sighed.

He then led her through the department, until they reached a large room, where Kiah already was. But not Cameron.

"We had a hunter help us with this." Ilias told her. "However... well... suffice to say, while his goal was identical to ours, he did not wish to spend much more time with us." he went on.

"Long story." he muttered further, shaking his head slightly.

"But! We think we have a compound that will drastically reduce the speed of what's happening to you will... happen." he told her.

"As it stands, you have... er... well, as of now, weeks to a month." he continued. "With this, we should be able to extend that to outright YEARS." he assured her with a smile.

After a moment or two, Ilias approached her.

"Hey." he replied.

"Thank you for coming." he told her, able to sense the immense power within her.

"...how are you feeling?" he asked.

"I mean... well... yeah. How are you?" he repeated.

"Been... holding up well enough?"

Ilias blinked a couple of times.

"And... now you share a body with several mage souls." he commented.

"..." he was silent again, before sighing.

"Right." he muttered.

"Suppose I should be grateful you're as civil as you are." he went on, before looking at Kiah.

"Guess we have work to do." he told her.

"Serious work."

Ilias was stunned at the sudden barrage of information that had been fired at him in such a rapid rate, but he shook his head a little after the last statement, and cleared his throat slightly.

"...we attempt the impossible." he said.

"But then again, we're paid to do so." he reasoned, making his way to what Cam had been writing.

"Hmmm." he mumbled.

"Interesting start to this." he commented.

"But will these two work together?" he asked. "Won't we need a binding agent?"

The colour from Ilias' face drained when she said that.

"A... a hunter?" he asked.

"That's... but... I mean..." he stammered.

"It... it was... but how...?" he stuttered further, unable to wrap his mind around this.

"Should... should we run?" he asked her.

"Are... we in danger?"

"....excuse me?" Ilias muttered.

"It's... it's Alicja, though." he said.

"And I'm telling you I cannot sense any mana." Kiah responded, almost pointedly.

"..." Ilias was silent, before looking deeper into the dim lights that illuminated the department.

"That's... creepy." he said.

"Almost horror-cliché creepy."

"...." Ilias was silent, before sighing and making his way back to where Kiah was.

"Kiah?" he said, stepping into the darkened room.

"Uhhhh.... got some things to say." he muttered.

The two of them then emerged a very short while later, with the two of them straightening out their hair and matting it down.

"...so yeah. It's weird." he said to her.

"Never seen this part of Alicja before. And asking for the pill was strange, too."

Ilias' face turned red immediately when Cam said what he did, before he shook his head, and cleared his throat.

"....right." he said.

"Whatever." he muttered.

"I have NO idea what you're talking about, but gender change gelcaps are here." he said further, grabbing a container from a nearby cabinet and dumping out a light pink pill.

He then handed it to Cam, and sighed.

"Where are you going to be?" he asked.

After a few moments of this, he heard Ilias' voice.

"Coming, COMING!" he called back.

A flustered and annoyed looking Ilias then showed up, saw who he thought was Alicja, and opened the door.

"...yes?" he asked.

"Is something wrong?' he asked further, now sounding concerned.

"Problems in the medical wing or something?"

Sharp just held in a sigh, maintaining his composure.

"Very well." he said.

"Go." he told him.

He then narrowed his eyes a little, before sighing when he had gone.

"...hmph." he muttered.

"Glad we don't have to deal with HIM a lot..."

Hal nodded.

"I do." he said.

"I have a few gel caps that do that." he told him.

"R&D has more as well." he went on.

"How quickly do you want the change?" he asked.

"Or would you rather arrive as Alicja with them knowing you'll want a change?"

Sharp just sighed quietly, shaking his head.

"Right." he said.

"R&D is on the lowest floor, southeast wing." he told him.

"If you need more directions or help, I can someone to assist you in getting there." he continued.

"I don't know how much you have absorbed about the layout of this building."
