Bast was silent for a moment, raising an eyebrow.

"That... hm." he mumbled.

"That's a very good question. One that's rather hard to answer." he admitted.

"See... Mom is one of the offspring of Lilith, who can be considered the original succubus, even if she's not technically classified as such." he told her. "And I am the son of Lilim, my mother, obviously." he continued.

"So... I am technically the son of a succubus. And that doesn't make me a succubus, as succubae are female, but at the same time, it doesn't make me an incubus by definition." he went on.

"So, really? I'm an entirely new kind of demon." he told her. "Sort of like an incubus without being an incubus."

"A lot better." Lex responded.

"I can get away with the occasional afternoon nap now." he told her.

"So yeah, it's working wonders." he said.

Meanwhile, Bast and Jordan made their way outside, shutting the door behind them.

"Yeah?" Bast inquired, as they stepped further into the yard.

"What's up?' he asked her.

"Huh?" Bast muttered.

"Yeah, sure." he said.

"Backyard door's this way." he told her, as they walked towards it together.

As they did, Lex watched them go, crossing his arms over his chest, and looking at Lilim.

"...he's really grown." he commented.

"Makes me wonder where the time went." he admitted.

"A little." Lex responded.

"Well, a lot, seeing as Lilim's not well-liked in Hell, so her enemies would surely attempt harm to him." he said further.

"Pretty much." Bast confirmed.

"So keeping my grades up is effectively life or death for me." he reasoned.

"Originally Lilim wanted it to be 3 months per term, served cumulatively after his exit from school, but I talked her down to the current arrangement." Lex then told Jordan.

Bast thought for a moment, and shrugged.

"Though my being half-human DOES level the playing field slightly." he said.

"VERY slightly." Lex stressed. "Don't sell yourself short, you are extremely powerful." he told him.

"I know, I know." Bast sighed.

"So how's your schooling going?" Lex then asked him, changing the subject.

"Same as usual." Bast replied. "If I'm not top of my class, I'm at least top 5." he told them.

Bast just shot Lilim a glare, and Lex sighed heavily.

"She's KIDDING." he told Jordan.

"We were warned about this when Sebastien called and told us he was showing up with you." he assured her.

"..." he was then silent for a moment, and looked off to the side.

"However, if you hurt our son, I'm fairly certain Lilim will have no qualms about finding you and force-feeding you copious amounts of them..." he then admitted quietly, clearing his throat.

"...Mom's sense of humour is twisted, and you don't want to piss her off." Bast just muttered.

Lex just rolled his eyes and smirked.

"Also helped that I'm a sucker for the 'damsel in distress', as vague as that term applied to you." he told her.

Bast just shook his head and looked at Jordan.

"We put the 'fun' in 'dysfunctional'." he told her.

"Hey, it's who we are." Lex said.

"And I wouldn't change it for the world."

Lex just shrugged.

"Human morality." he said.

"Guess he got summa THAT from me, too." he told her.

"Also helps that I was the one he went to when he ended up having moral dilemmas and such." he then said further. "He learned early on that if he wanted an opinion that wasn't 'those that bar your way from your goals and happiness are your enemies and need to be destroyed', he was to go to me." he laughed.

"To be fair, Mom's advice was applicable a LOT." Sebastien interjected.

"...not necessarily the nicest solution, but it was a solution." Lex admitted.

Sebastien was silent for a moment, before pinching the bridge of his nose.

"....right." he said.

"Forgot about that." he muttered.

"Yes, that was a time in my life that was... well, I'm not super proud of." he told her.

"So I suppose THAT was the worst thing I've ever done in my life, but I didn't mean to do THAT one." he admitted to Jordan.

Lex just shrugged in response.

"It's a human's emotions that led me to a life with YOU." he told her.

"So they can't be all THAT bad." he reasoned.

"And she DOES have a point." he went on, referring to what Jordan had said.

"Seriously, though. I'm glad he's found someone he seriously likes." he then said further. "Previously it's all been about tormenting young women and teasing them.' he continued.

"You're your mother's son, all right." he told Bast.

Sebastien looked over towards the woman, and smiled.

"Hello, mother." he greeted her, an affectionate tone to his voice.

"Our son has come to visit us." Lex said to her.

"And not alone, as he said." he went on.

"So. YOU'RE the one Sebastien has taken an honest liking to, eh?" he then asked Jordan.

"Our son has fallen for a vampire's charms, dear." he told Lilim.

Bast followed her inside, as Lex shut the door.

"Why, thank you." he said.

"Feel free to explore, or have Sebastien give you a tour." he told her.

"Just don't go downstairs." he then said.

"Mother uses that area for her projects." Bast interjected. "It's wise to not go there until very specifically invited." he continued.

"Is she home, by the way?" he then asked his father.

"She is. Currently down there working on something." Lex confirmed.

Lex just laughed a little.

"He does it so he doesn't accidentally interfere with any rituals that may be happening here." he told her. "Even though that's not an issue any longer, seeing as I don't do them at home any longer. Haven't for a few years now." he added, looking at Bast.

"Old habits die hard." Bast reasoned.

Lex just smiled again, before looking at Jordan.

"Don't worry, we speak English here very fluently." he assured her, stepping out of the way.

"Come in." he offered.

"Ladies first." Sebastien told her.

"Haven't yet." Jaden responded.

"Don't plan on it anytime soon." he told them.

The rest of the visit went very smoothly, with Sebastien seemingly actually getting into Jaden's good graces, as opposed to the bad books or neutral territory. Jordan had taken him back to the airport, and by the time they had parted ways, they had officially decided to try out being together.

And they knew what they had to do now. The more he waited, the worse it'd be. Desiree and Jaden gave it their okay as well, so Bast needed to just find the right time. He went back to the house that he and Darryl shared, unpacked, and after some calculations, he and Jordan figured out a time and date.

Which ended up being a couple of days later, where they found themselves in France, standing at the front door of Bast's home.

"All right." he said.

"I met YOUR parents.. time for you to meet MINE." he told her, ringing the bell. There was about a waiting period of 20 seconds, before the door was answered by his father, Lex.

"Welcome home." he greeted Bast, before looking at Jordan.

"Oh, and hello to you, too." he greeted her with a smile.
