Nate was silent for a moment, before sighing heavily.

"...I'm surprised." he said.

"I saw... I saw... things." he told her.

"I saw things... things I wasn't meant to see." he went on, tears forming in his eyes... before he suddenly paused.

"Yet... I somehow feel like I'm able to articulate and visualise them." he commented.

"That's... odd."

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Nate sat up, and looked like he was screaming.

But he wasn't screaming.

His eyes were wide and his mouth was agape, as though he were screaming, but all that was coming out was a high-pitched, low-volume noise, that sounded strained and... horrible.

Until his pupils dilated to normal size, and he looked around.

"...o-oh." he stammered.

"I'm... I'm here." he said further, then noticing Alija.

"Hey." he greeted her quietly.

Vincent was silent for a moment more, and then nodded.

"Of course." he responded.

He thought for a moment, before going and getting a large bowl, and filling it with water, before pulsing some mana into it. He then brought it to the table that was close to her.

"Here." he said.

"Submerge your hands in that every so often. It should help the healing process."

"...I can't give a specific number." Vincent admitted.

"But... a while." he told her.

"Months, at the very least." he said.

"And I mean that. Months. Plural. Probably at the very VERY least, 3-4." he continued.

"I know that seems alarmingly short... and it actually IS, come to think of it, but it's still time to find a way to stop this."

Vincent was silent again, before crossing his arms over his chest.

"I..." he stammered.

"I don't know." he admitted.

"I don't... know if it's EVER been stopped before." he told her.

"I promise I'll devote every waking moment to try and find an answer, though." he then vowed to her.

"You have power... swelling within you." he told her.

"It's... it's power that I've seen before. I've felt before." he continued.

"I... feel it every day." he went on.

"It's... the power of a nexus." he then revealed.

"Like the small one I live on. Or that the Council building rests on."

Vincent was silent as well, before looking at her.

"....Jordan..." he said.

"I won't lie." he told her. "You DID cause this to happen." he said.

"But... it's not what you think." he went on.

"I... think I know what's going on."

Vincent recoiled and cancelled his mana.

"Good heavens!" he shouted.

"Jordan, are you all right?" he asked her.

"That very nearly impaled you." he commented.

"..." he was then silent, and looked at his own hands, the mana still collected in them.

"..." Vincent was silent as he heard that, before sighing.

"Sounds like Hazel." he said.

"But I think I'll be able to help." he told her, looking at her hands.

"...wow." he muttered.

"That is... really something." he commented.

"I still think I should be able to help you, though." he promised.

"Is it just your hands?" he asked.

"I understand." Vincent responded.

"And I won't try and probe your mind or anything." he assured her.

"I'm here because people are worried about you." he said.

"Specifically, that you're injured or hurt." he went on.

"Are you?" he asked her.

"And do you want me to help if you are?"

Sure enough, a few seconds later, Vincent appeared several feet in front of her. He looked at her, sighed, and acquired a concerned look in his eyes.

"Hello, Jordan." he greeted her.

"How are you doing?" he asked, sitting down in a nearby chair.

"Odds are, very stressed, I would assume." he then said further.

"But... well, just how are you holding up?"

Hal nodded and snapped his fingers.

"Now we see how long it takes for him to full recover and be coherent." he said.

"These wishes can take a bit sometimes." he admitted.

As she stared at her injured hands, she heard a loud knocking on the door. But before she could panic or do anything, she heard Vincent's voice from the other side of it.

"Jordan, I just want to talk!" she heard.

"And I want to help if you're injured!" he said further.

"May I please come in!?" he asked, respecting her decision to want to be alone, and not trying to force his presence right now.

Vincent read the text that she sent, before nodding to himself.

He was already gathering the materials needed, and knew that the sooner he did this, the better. He didn't need to respond to her until he had information regarding the scrying. So he set to work.

Meanwhile, Hal nodded in response.

"Of course." he told her.

"Feel free." he said with a soft smile.

A few seconds later, she received a response from him.

Of course. I shall do so immediately and tell you of the results. it read.

Hollie told Hal of this, and Hal nodded.

"Good." he said.

"I'd hate for her to not seek medical help if she needs it." he reasoned.
