"How romantic." Bast said with an eye-roll and a smirk.

"But I getcha." he said further.

"And me? Sweet. I love sweet." he told her. "You saw me guzzle those cherry colas that your brother got me." he went on.

"Inherited it from my mother." he continued.

"However, Dad really likes sour things, so I am partial to something like that on occasion." he then added.

"Hot sauce, eh?" Vik asked. "What kind?" he asked further. "We've got the 'Tongue Tickler', 'Five-Alarm', and 'Scorchin'!" he told her.

"Whichever's the hottest." Jordan responded.

Vik just whistled and wrote it down.

"I LIKE her, Basty!" he told Bast, before collecting the menus and heading to the kitchen to put their order in.

Bast watched him go, before looking at Jordan.

"Brave one, eh?" he asked her.

Bast made sure to remember that piece of information. He knew Darryl had an allergy, but didn't know that his sister shared that same allergy. He figured it would be wise to remember that.

"Got it." he said, as Vik finished up with their drinks, giving them their respective beverages.

"Now, you need a little more time to decide?" he asked.

"I'm good." Bast said. "I'll take the Supreme Nacho Platter, an order of boneless Buffalo Wings, and a cherry coke." he told him.

"Got it!" Vik responded, writing it down.

"How's about you?" he asked Jordan.

"Eh." Ryker shrugged in response.

"Sleep all you like." he said.

"It makes the time go by faster, after all." he reasoned.

"...which is to say, time that would be spent just staring out the window or something." he then clarified.

"Regardless, let's get food, then clothing, then start makin' our way home."

Vik just snapped his fingers and pointed at her.

"A woman of taste, I see!" he declared.

"Comin' right up!" he said, as he started to get the things together for their drinks.

"Go ahead and get whatever." Bast told her. "Price is no object." he said.

"Shrimp delivery hasn't come in." Vik then warned him.

"...all right, whatever, as long as there's no shrimp." Bast corrected himself with a shrug.

Bast just chuckled lightly.

"Fair, fair." he said, as Vik returned.

"Now, can I get either of you something to drink?" he asked them.

"Long Island iced tea." Bast told him.

Vik nodded and looked at Jordan.

"How about you, sweetie?"

"Oh, he is." Bast agreed.

"And he's a nice guy, too." he said.

"He's just... promiscuous, and not really into monogamy." he told her.

"I don't have a problem with it, but I can be the jealous sort, so... if I were to try, it'd probably end up making things go sour between the two of us." he lamented. "I'd rather not ruin the friendship." he reasoned further.

"Also, I tend to like women more than men." he added at the end.

"Not exclusively, but that's my lean."

Vicktor just laughed a little.

"Oh, honey, I WISH!" he declared.

"Sorry, Vik, you're not my type." Bast said with a smirk.

"And this, as you heard, is Jordan. A recent friend of mine." he confirmed.

"Well, hel-LO!" Vik greeted her, taking her hand and kissing it atop it.

"I'll get you a pair of menus." he then said, heading off to get them.

"...he's a character, all right." Bast told her.

"Yeah, that's fair." Sebastien responded.

"That's the trade-off you have to make, usually." he sighed.

"But this place has some nice regulars, and the staff here are really friendly, too." he went on, as they approached the bar and sat down, a man approaching them with a definite... flourish... to his step.

"Hello, hello, Basty!" he greeted him, his tone matching his gait.

"Hey Vicktor." Bast replied.

"Oh, and who is THIS?" Vicktor then asked, looking at Jordan and seemingly sizing her up.

The man looked at her ID, then at her, and then at the fangs she subtly showed him.

"...ah." he said, handing it back.

"That's fair." he said.

"All right, in ya go." he told them, unhooking the rope from the pole.

Bast just smiled and nodded.

"Cool." he said.

"C'mon in." he told Jordan, as the two of them entered, and she saw it was a pretty big space, with lots of round tables and chairs about, a bar at the far end, and a stage that looked semi-circular.

"We put on shows nightly." he explained.

He just laughed when she said that.

"That's fair." he replied.

The two of them continued to walk, until they reached a place with a large neon sign that read 'Oasis Haven'. It looked decently lowkey, as it was an underground establishment, but the sigh was very noticeable.

There was also a large burly man standing at the entrance when they approached.

"Hey Bast." he greeted Sebastien as they walked up.

"Yo, Richard." Bast replied.

"..." the man was then silent, before looking at Jordan judgingly, then looked at Bast questioningly.

"She's with me." Bast said, gesturing for Jordan to 'prove herself'.

"We'll grab lunch first, then." Ryker suggested.

"Grab you a soda or something for your drink." he went on.

"You two hungry?" he then asked.

Savra nodded.

"Yes, I am." they said.

"All right." Ryker replied.

"You hungry as well, Eke?"

"Awesome." Bast replied, as he grabbed his coat.

With that, the two of them left the house, locking the door behind them, and headed off... soon taking a direction that she really hadn't been in, as he brother showed her more things in other parts of town.

"Don't worry." he said.

"This area's fine. It's just not as upscale as other places." he told her.

"But not dangerous at all."

"You do that." Bast said.

"And be sure to remember your... ID." he told her with a cough.

"The place knows of, and his friendly towards those from the mana side of life, so if you tell the bouncer you're a vampire and prove it, he'll absolutely believe you're 22." he assured her.

"And, again, you'll be with me. So you'll have more credibility." he added.

"Regardless, y'got 10 minutes. Get changed and we'll be off."
